- Low sided at #tailofthedragon a couple weeks back. Definitely learned a lesson that day and realized I need some class time before full sending it again. #kawasakininja#ninjazx4rr#zx4rr#akrapovic
Ohh man - hope your okay and no broken bones. You can always replace a motorcycle, but you can't replace yourself.
Yeah I’m okay thankfully …picked the new bike up today 🙂
@@Yesitsqk Nice!!!
@@Yesitsqk what did you get?!
@@treybohanan4380 same exact bike 🙂
Thats a common morons mistake.these bikes are ment for track use.on the street you have to be very careful and treat the bike as a touring machine and not as a super bike
Sorry about your crash. Glad you're okay. You should avoid accelerating while actively leaned over in a turn. You shouldn't be giving it throttle until you have the bike upright and pointing in the desired direction. Accelerating mid-turn can easily cause a low-side crash by breaking the rear tire's traction. The fact that you didn’t low-side sooner tells me the tires were fine.
Instead, carry more entry speed into the turn, brake harder before the turn to load and settle the suspension, and then trail brake as you tip into the corner. This technique allows you to focus on smooth steering inputs without the acceleration forces upsetting the chassis balance.
Good advice
Appreciate the insight…I plan on taking a riders course
Probably through Yamaha to develop my skills
@@Yesitsqk what does through yamaha mean
I believe this is the absolute correct analysis of the cause of crash. Good job!!
As a still novice rider, I appreciate this comment so I know what to avoid
the tree of shame welcomes you and your bike
That's how it goes my friend. Ripping until you ain't. Glad you're back on one!
Glad you’re ok dude! You were blessed that day to not hit a tree. Did the insurance pay for a new bike? I wish you well, never stop learning. ✌️
I was fortunate
I didn’t even make it to the embankment and go over like the bike did. It was a total loss covered under my insurance. Picked up another Zx4rr Saturday. 🙂
I don't know why guys want to play Isle of Man TT at the tail of the dragon. Too many very tight slow turns that are just an invitation to crash a street bike. The riders that play roadracer there are just an accident waiting to happen. Hope you didn't get hurt and are able to fix your bike quickly. Don't kid yourself about class time. That just gives guys a false sense of security which leads them to think they are safe hauling butt on tight turns. They still crash, and usually at a higher speed than before!
Glad you didn’t get hurt my guy!!! And you didn’t get a ticket, even nicer!!!!🤘🏽👍🏽
Thanks Jr
Yeah man I was fortunate through the whole ordeal …got the new zx4rr in the garage already too 🤙🏻
So sorry about your bike.
Hope your physically ok.
Bike can always be fixed or replaced.
Very nice twisty roads you have there.
Where i live they are all strsight.
Be safe.
Peace.
Work on your throttle control and line selection after you fix your target fixation problem. 😁
Looked sketchy before tbh.
Hard to say anything without seeing your body position and inputs though. Your throttle control is rough, but the crash is most likely the result of multiple factors. Glad you are ok. Bikes can be fixed or replaced.
Hello! Would it be okay to use it in compilations and maybe on some of ours Social Networks? You will get full credit for it. Thanks
No
You don’t have permission
@@Yesitsqk i salute you and your bike choice. youll be back in the saddle in no time.
@@DarkIzo 👊🏻 got the new zx4rr in the garage already 🙂
Well you gave those guys a good show. That was also apparently a stupid place to park.
How long have you been riding?
5 years
@@Yesitsqk sad.
😢 sorry bout the bike bruh. I know the feeling. As long you’re ok!👍
Thanks! Got another Zx4rr already 🙂
@@Yesitsqk glad it didn’t discourage you! Shiiii happens!
I am an old fast local on the dragon and ride with Jr aka Antprilia on UA-cam a lot. It looks like your geometry is off somewhat, looks like your front end was turning in too quick but I may be wrong but if your setup has your front end too low then it will tuck and not hold a line causing loss of traction. It seemed very skittish in turns, hard to tell since I couldn't see where you were on the bike nor see your rider inputs.Get your bike fixed and holler at me and we can work on proper bike setup and your skills too.
I met Jr there when I crashed …really nice guy
I picked the new bike up today
Appreciate reaching out
@@Yesitsqk Awesome! I am getting my new Aprilia RSV4 Factory next week, ultra gold and black. JR and I will be doing a lot of riding together after the repave is finished. Wave us down if you see us up there!
@@BigEbikesports congrats! Definitely will be keeping an eye out for you both…. Thanks
Too much entry speed. How anyone in the comments can say it was target fixation, I don’t know. We can’t see where he is looking. Glad you’re ok though dude.
Thanks
Too much of lean on stock tires... there were no throttle involved though... just mind those road signs more next time .. ride safe
Owh man..feel sorry for you and your nw bike..let me just say..for twisties road you need to choose your own tyre.stock tyre are usually hard.
Gonna get some pirelli supercorsa for the new bike
Sounded like pegs scraped and unweighted the rear
This is exactly what happened …my body positioning didn’t help though with to much weight on the peg for it to collapse like it’s designed to do…I removed the post on the bottom of the pegs on the new bike already 👍🏻
@@Yesitsqk they call them hero blobs for a reason, if i were you i'd leave them on as your skill level progresses.
anywho, you`re going for advanced training and it takes a lot to swallow pride and be objective about our own limits. kudos to you
hopefully recovery was easy and you're back to 100%
@@christophertrueman6701 👊🏻
is the bike beyond repair?
Insurance deemed it a total loss…got a new one yesterday
Young squid you have much to learn
Do you know what squid means?
I’m probably older than you 😂
Lmfao, young dummy, no understanding of what a squid is.
"I need some class time before full sending it again."
No, you need to smarten up. You should never full send on the street.
I didn’t see any full send at any point lol
@@hyperlink3113 He said he was full sending it.
Maybe a 3 wheeler?
Agreed he was going too quick. You can't predict what's round the corner and it hurts to hit a tree lol
Eh! Shit happens
Why do you think that was?
Improper body position and leaning the bike over to far was the main reason
The bike still had the stock tires on it and I was told by others to get some stickier ones but hadn’t yet, but not blaming the tires
It was my fault for pushing harder than I should have
@@Yesitsqk it looks and sounds like you added throttle too soon, before you turned
@@chriskrajewski6568Yeh, he’ was off, on, off the gas. Enough to unsettle the bike at lean
@@Yesitsqk Make a mistake, learn, and move on. Glad you are okay brotha. That 4rr sounds soo good.
fek
Target fixation 100% sorry bro😢
Does anyone here know exactly what went wrong and how to avoid it? It looks like just too much lean angle but how would you go through that turn without it?
My guess, hanging off the bike and turning the bars in... Which loads up the front and once traction starts to go, turns the front in more and control is lost... (lowside).
Lean with the bike (not off it) and slight countersteer pressure, and ride smoothly... Managed to stay upright for 30 years this way
distracted by three motorcycle parked in the corner thats why as all the other corner where well executed
I think both these dudes are on, glad rider is well, but putting myself in that situation can see distriction and a second late on the turn and leaned to hard to counter it
