Collect the roses at the whitfield manor they sell for a bit!! Also, the lighthouse you can collect the lavender that grows. Collecting wood whenever you pass by a tree is a must in this game In my opinion. It helps!!
I di a little happy dance in my chair when Shelab finally realised that the path to regular eating in this game comes from punching trees! :D
That wood sells for quite a lot, so walking past the pub every now and then to barter for a couple cheap and filling meals every now and then helps a lot
Was watching a beginners tips, apparently need to buy a bouquet from lighthouse first to ask on date before asking to marry.
Yes, farmers are great for getting seeds. Might want to have a seed stock of each season for next year. Slowly build your stock of seeds in a chest. They don't rot.
You can get 2 ice blocks every day. They rot in one day and you can add to your composter. Also, with being able to die of disease, I would be careful of traders on ships. That's how a lot of disease spread historically.
You can also purchase bars of soap from the lighthouse keeper(s), and using the soap will make you immune to disease and prevents you from spreading disease (if you’re already sick) for a whole day. So if you pass by someone who looks sick, buy a bar of soap and use it to hopefully prevent yourself from catching whatever they have. Found that out just recently.
Yay, ya figured out Trees Trees Trees. 2 in cemetery, 2 at witch hut, 2 at hunter cabin, bridge also. Life will be easier for ya now.
Jeepers Shelab, use the lantern you have for the cave! That's why it's so dark lol
If you watched the rest you will realise that the reason I don't use the lantern is that I keep forgetting to turn it off! lol
In the summer you can fish in the river in the forest. The snake fish sell for like.. 75g per fish

Pick the roses from the manor house
Summer time, get lavender from lighthouse and roses from mayor's house.

I’m pretty sure the brightness setting mostly is for when you have your lantern lit
FYI, there's a tavern in the town... Taverns often sell beer... Just in case you need any...
youtube compresses the vid so bad the mines are completely black, no matter what the brightness setting is. :(

If you look at the earlier vids where I had the lantern on, you can see that I hit two ore veins and leave.

Hmmm, I see a blue bear in thumbnail... so not a black bear (the eastern US version must be scared off or killed, you CANNOT pretend to be dead as they are scavengers), brown bears including Grizzilies and Kodiaks will often leave alone someone playing dead, Polar bears will just eat you.
inoculation saves you from the pox for a year I think... got mine in spring and still haven't been given a chance to buy it again and i'm in winter. There is not regular cure from the pox in less you do potions. as for the ingredients for that potion... no idea :p I know you are not a fan of the fishing but i have made 4k while buying other things and a chicken coup threw fishing... i do have 2 iron fishing rods so when ones almost dead i send it to get repaired while still being able to fish. Bright side is during winter you can still fish so you wont starve! Also i proposed to the blacksmith with a full love bar.... gave him a gold ring... must be a gold digger cuz he said we wouldn't work out.... Brat. least he could do was give me back my flowers.
forget the cheese press and loom you dont have the barn yard animals for them... focus on making drying racks and preseve jars. this game is suppose to be played slow, dont expect to get and use everything in one life.. Go for survival!!!

I am fishing a lot more, and gathering wood when I have a spare minute, but most of the wood ends up going on the racks and jars, so I guess once I have that down I can start saving for the big structures more.

Definitely see what kind of potions their are. Could be speed grow? Revive? Who knows.
there are some events that are hosted there... I just went to the halloween one (which is the second half of the festival) that was back there and I think the cooking one is there also but i skipped that one.
