Hey Shelab, I would recommend putting extra ice in the box so when it runs out you can put it in right away, since it won’t melt in the fridge
You need to fill the helpers watering cans
Yes, you need to make sure watering cans are full, I keep a couple in there so all the plants get done. Also, when chatting to people you get better social if you actually click on talk once or twice in the interaction, now that you insulted everyone 😂. I did it when Temperance asked me then she sent me $100 every couple weeks 👍🏼

Ill be warm tonight :p but yes rude people love you more when you are rude to them... seems like a line...not intuitive but you get a strange fish that's worth a lot if you fish in the cave during a blood moon 9 pm to 4 am epic lure it states but i did it bare... i wont tell you what it is... that's part of the fun :p Thank you for walking the area... I didnt know the ghosts were so lively during this time... i was to greedy. also i have 3 drying racks and 4 jarring containers... if your filling them very day you only need to save 2 a day you can sell the rest for the prettiest of pennies. I am friends with all the villagers even after losing half {pox}... just double click their chat button... they say a lot of the same but i am friends with everyone. it also boasts your social. you just have to give them lip service. Like work smile as shiney as a light bulb and just as empty.... yep projecting :)

Your farm helper doesn't have any water in there watering can.
You also haven't put the metal watering can in your farm helpers chest like you said you were going to do in the last episode.
This reminds me of Animal Crossing NH. Main focus is on hunting for new recepies and decorating. And collecting shells (wood) for bucks. Villagers are cute and fun but you don’t expect any depth or meaningful relationships.
That version of Animal Crossing where you die of Smallpox!! lol

The in-game tutorial specifically states that you need to put tools in the farm helper chest. Also that the helpers will break tools and will NOT refill watering cans. Is it really the npc's fault if the player fails to give them, and maintain, the tools they need?
You might as well blame the developers for making a difficult game (which can be made less difficult, if you remember.)
Not sure I blamed them for it, didn't mean it to come across that way. Though I just went and reread the tutorial and it does NOT say anything about the watering can needing to be filled by the player, a line added to the tutorial to that effect would be helpful.
I gave all the tools needed. I am also not blaming anyone for making a difficult game, only lamenting the fact that I would like more precise information to be given and I don't like having to guess.
I wonder. if you have a well, would the farm helper fill the watering can then?
No. Fortunately the only way to ensure they do not run out of water is to get them the watering can that is bottomless
