This is very old advice. Best performance is obtained by setting both Window & Transition scale to OFF & Animator duration scale to .5x However .5x on all of them is just about as quick.
Do you know how to turn off where it says like some of my apps it'll tell me it recommends to uninstall cuz it's harmful to your device on Nvidia shield I can't figure out how to turn that off so it doesn't keep asking me about that
I've changed all these three settings in developer settings but my Nvidia Shield 2017 run dogs slow and keeps freezing but I don't understand why. Would it be better upgrading to the 2019 Nvidia Shield with the smaller Nm Chipset and 4K upscaling feature.
I have all 3 shield tv , 2015 pro 2017( non-pro 16 go version) and 2019 pro , I can say 2015 pro still running fast after switch ssd and re-paste the thermal paste , 2019 pro of course the best and 2017 shield very slow and lag I have no idea why 2017 super slow but I’m not the only one

While the shield is the fastest streaming device, it is starting the lag unfortunately. Getting hang ups and lags all throughout the UI. I also watch TV once every week or every other week and when I go to turn, my tv sees it's connected but the screen remains black resorting to a power plug reboot.
Check your storage or like S stated do a factory reset . I had an app awhile back that was becoming very laggy . Performed a factory reset it was running as if was brand new again
I'd be happy if I could just get Kodi to work on my Shield again 😢 Since the last experience update, (yes, THAT long) every movie/show including via premiumize addon gets stuck if I pause or 7-20 mins into playback. The old school buffer wheel pops up. Remember those? It's already at 100% Which is code for, Time to Force Stop Kodi. Sometimes I get the alternative 3-7 mins into playback when my screen just goes black. Again, code for, curse loudly, then force stop Kodi. Good Gurd! I've been using Kodi since, since... Def pre Jarvis! Kodi was the #1 reason I ordered my 1st Pro back in 2015 cutting the cord for good. 🤔... I wonder what Plex is? I think I picked a bad time to quit smoking. 😂

Thanks! Just did this on my Shield TV Pro and it really speeds it up. Pretty much eliminated the little bit of lag you get navigating around.

Set all animation scale on my S22 Ultra to zero. Love how snappy it is. Works great on my Shield Pro too.
