They should give us a new console Nvidia.
They need to bring back gamestream. How is it legal to just remove one of the core apps that was advertised with the shield upon purchase

I match the audio bitrate over hdmi and let the receiver or processor do the decoding. Also ACC 5.1 won’t come out has 5.1 if nvidia shield does the decoding it comes out as only 2 channels.

Nice video. I have my Shield TV Pro coming next week. Use it mainly for Kodi. Question concering resolution (it's not very clear to me) : I have a 4k tv (LG C8). You advise to set the resol to 4K 59 Hz. But almost all movies streaming through Kodi, the framerate is 23,9. Therefore I had the intention to set the resolution in Shield to 4K 23,9 Hz. In Kodi I also have set "adjust display refresh rate" to On start/stop. Is this right what I have in mind ? If I set resol to 4K59Hz, I guess there will be stuttering. Or do I miss something ? I understand your concern, but the reason I recommend 4K 59Hz is for faster navigations in the menus and other apps. In Kodi and Plex there's an option that you can choose to match the original native frame rate and resolution of the movie during playback. So you don't have to worry about stuttering and fast motion.

@@ericbraet7931 I don't remember the name of the option on Kodi as I mostly use Plex. But I'll check later and let you know.

@GoldFus1on The Play Store has many online media streaming apps. Just do more research about them on Google to know more about their content.
I mainly use Plex to stream from my local media server.

Yes, it should be on the Jellyfin settings
Faced with audio sync issues on Nvidia Shield TV pro + Plex, especially when >. Fixed by turning off the Dolby Audio Processing option (thx a good guy on reddit).
Another solution for when this occurs. Stop the movie and exit, then play it again but don't fast forward or rewind during playback.

I have noticed that VLC doesn’t support dolby true hd. Exo player does but limited in settings.

HQ Stereo means only 2 speakers, surround sound means 5.1 it 7.1 surround. Depends on what speaker setup you have.
Hi speaking as someone who consider this or a xbox series s. Due to both of them having cloud game stream possibilities. Which one is best in the long run? As long as one gets consistent 60 fps stream. I know that it is alot internet speed dependent. But if one is running wired connection how stable is it most of the time? With cloud stream services like geforce now xcloud boosteroid amazon luna. Even though this is some couple of years old. Will buying it in 2024 be late too late? In terms of support updates

Between the 2 I'd get the s. The shield pro imo is really best for single player games. It looks great on my 4k TV fr fr but it doesn't stream for me as successful as I heard or had seen. It's ok but even wired it isn't the best
Just watched your video and the one thing you need to make clear for the settings you setup is you need state how your shield is connected. Is your shield directly connected to your tv and your sound is being sent to a avr via ARC or is it plugged directly into your avr and having the video pass through the aver to your tv. Just need clarity as the setup would be different as to which way the shield is connected.

It's connected directly to my AVR and the video signal is using the hdmi pass-through from the AVR to the TV.

Most movies are filmed at 24fps, so 24Hz is adequate for playback without noticeable stutter or judder.
Plex will automatically detect and switch to the native movie frame rate to play it accordingly.

@JavierSN95 Then you need to do it manually the same steps in the video because some formats won't be detected if you leave it on auto. This is only important for people who have sound systems.
Did you manage to get 4k resolution on apple tv app using nvidia shield?

Could you please provide any details on how to? I get average resolution (I confirm if I remove ai upscaling). Internet connection and device connection are good for sure. No issues with Netflix or Amazon
@EvaggelosSinapidis Use the same settings that I have shown in the video and make sure that you have a strong internet speed. Mine is 200 Mbps, and my shield is connected to a switch with 1 Gbps speed. I don't use Netflix. I only use apple TV app and Plex app as well as a couple other apps.

Update your TV operating system and make sure that you are using a high-quality certified hdmi cable. If the issue continues. Try to do a system factory reset for both devices
I bought an HD cable from an approved place that reaches 8K, and unfortunately there is no change. It only shows me 720 in the device, and now I will do a restart and hope that the device works well.

@MrRaheezx Try formatting the TV and Nvidia Shield by performing a factory reset. And make sure you have the latest firmware update on both devices
