Thanks for your videos, really informative. Does emptying once a year onto the lawn kill the grass? How has the lid gone with using the 303 protector has it maintained it better than the last one or would you put a cover over the deck? Also I noticed the black spots you said that was on the spa lid looks like asphalt roofing that has heated and stuck to the vinyl in the sun.
The grass does not care. Such low salt content. Our lid is now leaking. The flaps around the hot tub lid are filling with water. I had to punch holes in them to drain
If you want to be safe....Water to the bottom of the over flow....If you want to be gangster 1/3 full.....Just do not let the circulation pump pull air in. Want a nice sold prime and water flow. That water flow keep the heater cool so to speak.
Now you have had this tub for a couple years, would you buy it again? I’m looking at the Hot Springs because you only have to flush it once a year on the most part . Thanks
Oh of course...They are the only game in town if you ask me....+ all the parts on the insides are only made by one manufacture anyway so there is not much variation....Go for the salt water option if you can...My sister in law has one coming for their house next month....they are all excited and wanted to know all the tips and tricks.
So that is a good question. You can put in warm water with PH DOWN for like 10 mins and scrub it with a tooth brush to give it a little extra life. Make sure you use extra chlorine to boost levels if need be. DO NOT use the system to boots levels or you will blow through them like crazy. Use the system just to hold status quo. Chlorine is way cheaper > then the hardware for the system. System hardware should last 6 months or so.
Love your setup, very nice deck and backyard.
Thank you...we now see that not putting a cover over the hot tub was dumb.

Like the video. I noticed you turned your unit/heater on while filling. At what point did you turn power back on?

How often are you replacing/cleaning the electrode thing?
