I've had that plane before and I loves it! The short takeoff and landing capabilities were perfect for flying at the park right up the road from my house.
I got The Big Foot And I love this plane it is easy to pack in my small sports car and I take it to the field every time I go it is my go to plane……. I also have the Husky special edition…. Those two planes are my favorites and I have many. I fly the big foot at least four times a week. Most of the time I only bring it to the field. It is so ridiculously easy to fly . Thank you for recommending that airplane to us all..
Bought this plane almost a year to the day. It goes out with me almost every time I go flying. My Tundra never sees any flight time since I got this one since it performs much better, IMO. I take it along with my EDFs even (an Eflite F-15 and an Arrows Marlin) because it's a great prep plane. Fly it first when you get to the field and you've got your confidence levels at a good point. I consider this one of the best purchases I've made plane-wise.
I have seen all your videos on the Bigfoot....and it seems Nate is just gonna force me to buy one already. Love these STOL birds and really Love how this one looks. Flies like a dream for sure. Thanks Nate... I am broke again.
For the price & size of that plane, it's a steal. I'm convinced now & will pick one up with my next check. Excellent video Nate & Abby!! God bless you 😊⚓⚓
It’s a GREAT plane. I’ve only maidened mine, just before the weather turned really bad. Looking forward to flying it again, if the weather (wind, rain, snow, etc.)will ever cooperate. 😟🤞🏻😃
Great review of one of the great trainers. THIS is the 2nd plane everyone should buy after they learn some things on the Aeroscout. It is sold with the Vector stabilizer (maybe, that company just closed) or you can just put a Spektrum 630 in it, the price would be about the same. The Vector is exactly the same as SAFE and pre-programmed for this plane, but still requires a receiver. Nate is right, this plane is fully aerobatic capable, STOL, and with the big tires can land on almost anything. You can also upgrade it to 4S by simply installing a bigger ESC. Do not put a 4S pack into this without doing that, unless you like smoke and fire...but on 4S this plane is a blast and the upgrade is easy.
How similar is the vector system to the SAFE system? In stability mode does it mix in elevator and rudder, or does it only work when you let go of the sticks? I'm having a hard time finding this info.
Friend of mine had a mishap ...the receiver died in flight and the RC plane ended up in a neighbors kitchen window. Nobody was hurt and he had an active AMA account that took care of everything. As TheRcSaylors state over & over ...DO NOT fly RC without an active AMA account! I LOVE this channel :)
Got mine in first go round BUT I can't comment yet on how it flys because I'm too chicken to crash it . I have a half dozen that are not maidened yet including the Zazzy !
I love my Bigfoot😀 I normally fly jets but When I want to relax and enjoy aerobatics I fly my Bigfoot. It flyes well and is very good quality. I have modified mine with a 45 amp ESC and fly it with 4s power. You should try that Nate, after that mod you never want to go back😄
@@TheRcSaylors yes I Only changed the ESC to a spektrum smart one so I can keep track of voltade and amps in my radio( peak amps doing Max thrust verticals approx 43 amps, average below 30) I think the motor is fine and i also think the plane are better balanced with my 4s 2300 ma. You have easy access to the esc if you remove the spinner, prop and the two front screws holding the plastic cover in the battery compartment.
Awesome video as usual and love the plane. Again ill ask the same question if you could only pick one would it be this or the valiant. Keep up the great work 👍
I like both this one and the Husky a lot. Put a Lemon RX receiver in it and you have a very affordable and capable plane that can be flown with a Spectrum radio.
You know, I've not messed with cheaper receivers that work on Spektrum, yet! Plan to try that soon with the way prices of EVERYTHING are going! You rock!! Thanks for always having our backs! 👍😎⚓
I just purchased a Big Foot, I am seeking other hobby's since I can no longer play golf (physical problem). I thought I'd get back into RC planes. I have not flown an RC model since high school. I just had my 76th birthday. ha I noticed one item that bother's me with this kit. It's the tires. They are no hard and provide no cushion whatsoever. Are softer tires available in tundra size and if so, where might I purchase a set? The softer the better. Thanks for your fantastic video's. I'll be seeing you again soon. Practice, practice, practice!!!! I hope I don't crash and burn on my first flight. Thank you.
Hi mate, hope you're still flying the bigfoot. If you don't mind maybe you could tell me the size of the wheels? I want to order replacements but don't even have my plane yet.
Watched your videos and now I am hooked. The Big Foot RTF comes with a Arrows AR06 Remote Control - is this a decent/good remote to use on other purchases, say, planes that are PNP. A short video on Transmitters, Controls, and Batteries would be awesome :) Thanks for the BigVideos :)

Mine has been crashed a # of times and looks like H***. But it still flies like u see above. Inverted is easy, it can do decent loops, and does knife edges well. If u try a 4S better prop down to a 10" prop.
You should have titled the video "BIGFOOT SIGHTING!!" LOL!. That is one maneuverable airplane! Looks like fun to fly. Its STOL capabilities are great. You should look up the Nevada STOL Drag Races, and see if you can duplicate what Trent Palmer and company can do in those races!

Can you add the vector option they list as a different model to this one? if not it would be cool to see one with that option, seems to be like the safe/smart stuff other companies have.
Nate that was some very good flying. Why I do believe that you could fly upside down > lower < almost tail touching the runway. Was that to pushy 🥴🥴🤭🤭. ⚓⚓👍💗👍💚👍💜👍⚓⚓.
On the down side, this plane does have a few negatives or idiosyncrasies that new owners should take note of. As Nate noticed, a tire was loose. This plane is notorious for tires falling off because the screw comes loose. Nate also noted the paint on the battery hatch, it wears off very quickly, also widely reported. Personally, I've had two hinges wear out, on an elevator and an aileron. I put Blenderm tape on all the hinge joints now. RCGroups has a good thread www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3422057-New-Arrows-RC-Bigfoot as they do for most planes. Cant recommend that site highly enough.
I love flying mine, it's a touch and go queen. I keep striping out rudder servos though. I'm on the third servo and it's striped. Even lost a metal gear servo. I need a solution for this, been grounded for at least a month because I can't afford to keep trashing servos.
@@budmartin8297 I lost the rudder servo too, and replaced both with metal gear since I had it torn apart. I dont know why this would happen to high quality metal gear servos. You would think the aileron and elevator servos would be under much more strain.
I've flown the snkt out of mine and haven't lost any servos (yet?) But can speak on the wheels and paint coming off, as touched on in my vid. Solution for paint is just a red sharpie for touch ups. My solution for the wheels is loctite and seems to hold just fine, though a bit wobbly from extreme usage I think. Still haven't found the true "perfect plane" but we will continue looking! 😁😁⚓
@@TheRcSaylors do keep an eye on the foam hinges, because you fly it aerobatically. If it had happened only once I wouldnt mention it, but on two surfaces its worth some hinge tape, and blenderm is great stuff. I loctited the wheels and havent had a problem since. Its just a bad design issue, where the wheels turning make the nuts loosen, and the factory either doesnt use loctite or tightens them too much/little. Planes breaking is just a part of the hobby. If you fly any plane actively it will wear out and break parts. I dont care how much you spend, your plane will break. You fix it with parts or hot glue and fly it til it breaks again.
Nate? Really? You're flying Spektrum on most of your planes. Ok, so you cheaped out with Tactic on this one, but really? Use the Flap Set-up function and put a delay speed on your flaps! 1.5 to 2 seconds for 1/2 and full flaps. Not only does it give you a little time to adjust throttle as flaps deploy, flaps snapping from up to down looks ridiculous.
I bought this plane back when you first introduced it and had the Saylor discount. Flies really well. Hate to say it, but not impressed with either quality of plane or customer service from HobbyZone. Less than 8 flights, had to replace rudder servo. Now, less than a dozen flights, bearing in motor is shot. Going to have to replace the motor. Contacted HobbyZone, who just said it was past the warranty (30 days), pull the motor and ESC and send to them. They have no replacement parts on their website so I've had to order a motor from a different company. I like the plane, just seems to be lacking quality. Thanks for the review.
