Great vid , im debating over the 300tw or 400tw , im in florida fishing for big snook, tarpon and red fish. I see the only difference between the two reels is .02 oz ?
I would go for the 400, Extra line always a bonus! The 400 TW has a very small body so it will be comfortable to use all day long. It is 30 bucks extra, but well worth it.
I have just spent the last weekend fishing a deep sea competition with the TW 400 and the HD 400. The TW wins hands down, spend the extra cash, trust me!
Daiwa's has grown from small beginnings in Japan during the 1950’s as a reel maker, into a global fishing tackle brand, serving anglers of all disciplines around the world. A true manufacturer, they have production points in Japan, UK and throughout the Far East.
The levelwind guide does not go through extreme pressure it needs to be a little loose to move in and out of engagement. Ive caught about 600lbs of fish on my lexa 400 tw and had more than 1000 yards of line pulled off the reel with runs with 8-15lbs+ of drag. I serviced it last week and it litterally looks like new internally minus the common corrosion spots on the drive gear and there was much less than.my shimanos get. Best baitcaster on the market, and ive owned the lexa hd/winn, tranx 200/300/400. Tranx are worst ive used too many parts that needed replacing after use.

The HD version looks like it's made out of plastic and the TW Looks flimsy have you ever used a Shimano tranx 400 any comparison
Both these reels are solid, fished them both very regularly and they hold up well. Just maintain them and they will do the job.
Where is the TW version made at?

I have lexa winn 300 and tw sv 101 now i just think about the 400 size i cant deside the TW its wiggling the guide line same like not durable
It seems strong enough, I put the reel through some serious punishment last week at it held up great.

And the casting preformance is unmatched
@@fadelover123 is your reel buttery smooth? Just got mine and it didn’t feel so smooth when I was spooling it, any idea what it could be?
@fieshyfish what you think about the daiwa lexa 500 hd and daiwa lexa 400 tws which one better for muskie
You wont be putting a leader/shock leader with fg knot ..... line guide is to narrow
No problems so far...
