Great video. I have a Lexa HD 300 (left hand). Great reel for deep water jigging (on a Nomad PE2-4). I use an Ocea Jigger 2000 for jigging (on a Jigstar Twisted Sista)
Would you think the 400 tw has enough drag for a pe4-5 setup? Or should I go something with a lever drag? I do like the low weight and low profile feel of the lexa compared to my ocea jiggers on my lighter setups.
@@TackleWest yea I ended up ordering a 400 lefty from usa as daiwa Australia doesn’t import them for some reason. Do you think the lexas are good in terms of reliability and corrosion resistance like a saltiga or ocea jigger would? Cheers
You can cast jigging reels for sure. There high quality bearings actually allow them to cast EXCEPTIONALLY well. I have a GoMexus sX450 which is a jigging reel and I cast it all the time and it FLIES. You can use them just like normal reels if u wish. You don't HAVE to just drop the line str8 down
Just a heads up. All Daiwa baitcasters can flip from free spool to being in gear with just the switch. No need to crank to go into gear
Thank you for this review👏 you have just hurt my bank balance😂

Lexa take me fishing!!!
How do I set it up/fine tune for slow jigging?
What’s the line guide made of?
Does the lexa tws 400 have dubbel pionion support?
Thanks for the nice video 📹
Is there some of these reels available ????
Yes at www.Tacklewest.com.au
Does the t wing compensate for not having a synchronised levelwind? Or does i5 have a syncd levelwind as well?
Which model is the best for fast jigging
The high speed 300

For Pe4-5 I’d be more leaning towards the lever drag as you will have a more powerful drag. You can still thumb the spool with the Lexa though

Could I use this for cod swim bait set up?
You could but it’s got the jigging handle which makes it hard
or a review on a saltist sj spin
Does anyone know If the Lexa tw is a 300 or 400? And also looks to be the same as the tatula 300 And 400 with a power handle.
They make them in both 300 and 40 size
