    Today I will be making this all AMERICAN POUND CAKE , It always bring everyone to the Kitchen. This Lemon Pound Cake is sooooo good. If you make it please leave your comment below. I have listed the ingredients below due to the high demand in making it. You now know exactly what I did to create this great tasting Lemon Pound Cake .
    Ingredients:
    3 CUPS OF SUGAR
    3 CUPS OF CAKE FLOUR (SWANS DOWN ) IS WHAT I USED
    3 SITCKS OF LAND O LAKE BUTTER ( I USED SALTED ) YOUR PREFERENCE
    1 8OZ PKG OF PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE
    6 EGGS
    1 WHOLE LEMON ZEST
    4 TSP OF LEMON JUICE ( SQUEEZE FROM A FRESH LEMON)
    1 TSP OF VANILLA FLAVOR
    1 TSP OF ALMOND EXTRACT
    1TSP OF LEMON EXTRACT
    I ADD THE PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE AND AND BUTTER MIX REALLY WELL UNTIL YOU HAVE A CREAMY TEXTURE, I THEN ADD THE SUGAR A CUP AT A TIME WHILE IT'S MIXING, ( I MIX ON HIGH START OFF SLOW AND INCREASE THE SPEED AS IT MIX TOGETHER) . I THEN ADD THE CAKE FLOUR 1 CUP AT A TIME ( ON SLOW MIX SPEED GRADUALLY INCREASING YOUR SPEED) THEN I ADD THE EGGS ONE AT A TIME ( IF NORE THAN ONE FALL IN IT'S OK) YOU JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE EGGS ARE MIX WELL INTO THE BATTER. I THEN ADD THE LEMON ZEST, YOU CAN ADD MORE LEMON ZEST TOTALLY UP TO YOU I LOVE MORE. THEN I ADD THE LEMON JUICE, MIX WELL, ADD VANILLA FLAVOR MIX WELL, ALMOND EXTRACT MIX WELL, AND LAST THE LEMON EXTRACT, MIX WELL ON HIGH. ONCE EVERYTHING IS INCORPORATED TOGETHER.
    GET YOUR BUNDT PAN SPRAY REALLY WELL WITH YOUR PAM CAKE SPRAY AND ADD YOUR BATTER AND COOK AT 325 DEGREES FOR AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES.
    ICING :
    LEMON GLAZE
    1 1/2 CUP OF CONFECTIONERS SUGAR (Make sure you add the confectioners sugar in a sifter so you don't have any lumps of the sugar)
    2 TO 3 TSP LEMON JUICE
    1 LEMON ZEST
    2 TBS BUTTER
    1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
    IN A BOWL ADD THE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, AND BUTTER ( MELTED BUTTER) MIX WELL THEN ADD LEMON JUICE, , ADD THE LEMON ZEST, MIX WELL THEN ADD THE VANILLA EXTRACT, ONCE ALL MIX TOGTER YOU CAN ICE YOUR ICING AS YOU WISH.

    My aunt, just left me you put the eggs in after she mixed in the flour mix. It really made the pound cake 🎂 fluffy. Unlike the other recipes that incorporate the eggs with the butter and sugar. And my aunt's cake like yours was plump,
    hi, in size yet moist. I love your simply supreme directions. You can't go wrong with a true lemony flavored pound cake. Excellent job my friend. I making and using this cake recipe for as dinner dessert. Lovely outcome...l am so pleased and impressed.👍❤️🙏

    I am amazed with your technique of adding the eggs after the flour. Not to mention I was always taught that adding the flour last prevented over mixing the cake making it tough . However, you have certainly convinced me to try your recipe for sure. Your cake is beautiful.

    My 98 year old Aunt loves my Lemon Pound Cake. She won't let anyone have a slice. She cuts the cake in slices and freezes it. Everyday she microwaves a slice to have with her coffee. I'm going to switch your recipe on her. Now watch her say she likes yours better. Lol. That's okay as long as she's happy. 😄 She's the last living Aunt that I have on both sides.

    I made this cake I didn’t follow the recipe with all the ingredients because I did not have the almond and lemon extract I added lemon yogurt it came out wonderful. My granddaughter and her husband is going to love it I made it for them for Christmas

    Sharon Wright I have not made this cake but I plan on in the future I notice no salt or baking powder or baking soda was used in this cake .It turned out very well I I did make your icing to another pound cake I made with sour cream and baking soda and salt . you have a beautiful presentation I will look forward to other cakes you will be making Thank You Beautiful Lady with so much class.     I have the same pan. Cakes comes out great, but I do like the grooves that the original bundt cake pan has, so I bought a larger pan. I bought a larger pan and I don't have to worry about the batter over flowing

    I think when I make my lemon cake I will put the lemon zest in and fold it in with my spatula , because I kinda feel like that most of the zest will end up on the beater . Great job , thanks for sharing . I'm going to make this next week . Your cake turned out beautifully .

I wasn't sure if she forgot to add it to the recipe or if it simply didn't call for it.. I stopped to pay my light bill online, then when I come back to the recipe my phone had already scroll on your comment... don't know how it happened but there was my answer there.. I was looking at the quotes that you had going across the screen and one of those quotes was something my Mother always would say and the was "This too shall Pass". I had to pause and give God all the Praise because he spoke to me through you. Thank you Sis and keep Shining.
    I am glad you put up this recipe because my Honey's Mom use to make him Lemon pound cake and she use to add coconut to the frosting and she made it from scratch and I always wanted to make it for him. I can cook my behind off but baking not to much. I am going to try your recipe and see what happens. Question can I use Gold Medal all purpose flour because I don't have the one you recommended.

    Hello your recipe looks so good I'm getting ready to make it now but one question.. you say 3 sticks of butter is this the little 1/2 cup sticks or the long 1 cup sticks? Please help I dont want to mess this up 😁

    Is your oven cold? How long are you baking it and st what temperature?

      No I preheat the oven to 350 and I cook it for 1 hr and 15 minutes .

    Very surprised how long you mixed this cake and no gluten formed. I discovered the reason. Less protein is in cake flour. Note to bakers do not over mix using APF or you will have a heavy cake. I will be baking this soon.

      Also she did what we call reverse creaming no matter the flour cake or all purpose normally we would add the eggs after creaming butter and sugar but she add the flour next coating it in the butter and sugar which prevents the proteins aswell from forming causing a heavy cake I use this method and it works great makes a lighter cake for sure but if your going to do the old fashion way cream butter and sugar then eggs one at the time them alternate milk and flour then no you can not over or under beat

    Your pound cake looks amazing, your batter is so light and fluffy. I want to make this cake for my granddaughter's birthday in late July. I have a few questions, I don't want to make any mistakes. How long do you beat your butter and cream cheese? When you add the sugar' one cup at a time, how long does that take? Finally, I noticed you added tour flour prior to the eggs, does this help with your light, airy batter? Do you sift your flour? Thank you in advance for your reply, I do appreciate it.

      Hi so sorry just seeing your question, Not sure if you have tried making it yet. But I usually beat my batter until it's light and fluffy no specific time. ( butter & cream cheese) when you add the sugar you just want to make sure its all incorporated into the batter where your still getting the light and fluffiness. I don't sift my flour and .       Hey sis I use 3 sticks of butter ( salted)"LAND O LAKE" and I put 3 cups of SWANS DOWN cake flour.I don't use baking soda or baking powder, and the only salt is in the butter. TFW . Smooches😘

    Hello Deborah, Love the name Bible girl! LOL! I wanted to ask if you make your lemon pound cakes with a lemony taste after they are done or do you just put the glaze over it? I love the lemony pound cakes that taste tart/sweet if you can understand what I am saying. I made a lemon pound cake last year, and it tasted very lemony in the batter, but when it finished cooking the lemon flavor had evaporated and it only had a hint of lemon. Maybe you can give me a solution. Have a blessed day. By the way, when you beat it in the mixer, the eggs caused it to bulk up and that's why you have so much dough.

    Sis, OMGosh you're almost hitting 1k subscribers!! You go, go, go , I am so happy for you. I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving . I love my KitchenAid mixer. I make jokes about how heavy it is. It's like lifting a person that's sleeping with dead weight. That cake looks delicious.

    Have you tried lemon oil instead of lemon extract. You literally put drops in instead of teaspoons. It is so potent. They sell it at Michaels or Joann or any craft store that has baking supplies.

      You can try using Monk Fruit! It tastes very much like sugar, has no chemical aftertaste because it’s all natural, zero calories, and registers 0 on the glycemic index! I use 50% more Monk Fruit than regular sugar, but you can measure it to taste.

Nonetheless, we all have different learning styles, and this why I question if there is somewhere where I could get the full recipe and amount of ingredients via cake. I am personally a visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learner, so I must be able to not only see it done, but read and apply it as well. I look forward to making this cake, eventually and with a recipe to follow. Blessings!!

    The recipe says 4 Tablespoons lemon juice, but you put in 5 teaspoons. Which, tablespoons or teaspoons?

      Hello , it just depends how strong you want the lemon taste I love lemon pound cake . Yes I do use tsp. I will change that. Thanks for catching that.
