A subscriber asked me if I would do a simple pound cake recipe for beginners. So today I did a Vanilla Pound Cake with step-by-step instructions and finished it off with an easy Vanilla Glaze.

INGREDIENTS I USED:
Bake in oven preheated to 325 degrees for 1 hour 10-15 mins. (Depends on your oven)
3 Cups Cake Flour
3 Sticks of UNsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
3 Cups Sugar
5 Eggs (Room Temperature)
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Milk (Room Temperature)
1 Tablespoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
FOR VANILLA GLAZE I USED:
Powdered Sugar
Pure Vanilla Extract
Milk

God’s been taking good care of me so that I can continue to press on and do things to help others and this might prove to be a way to bring joy to some of our senior most people from church who can no longer bake and perhaps don’t want a whole cake and I can make it smaller for them if they desire. After I graduated from college, I had the worst time making pound cake. I have no idea what I was doing wrong. My nephew made wonderful pound cake using my aunt's recipe, but he's no longer with us. So the task fell to me this year for Thanksgiving. 😱
