Do not trust replace thermal paste yourself. What is needed is replacement of the thermal paste between CELL cpu and it's IHS. Removing IHS from the chip is very very risky. You should get it done. That will make your PS3 quiet. Replacing paste between IHS and heatsink will simply not do and will certainly not extend life of this console. I know what I am talking about. Good luck. Don't do it yourself.
I don’t know why but i find myself playing my PS3 more than the others. I don’t have a ton of PS5 games and i think the constant updating and downloading on the PS4 annoys me.
In my experience, most controllers ps1 to ps3 end up with sticky thumbsticks if left for years.. They sweat .. Its nasty and is worse on heavily used controllers..

i got one of these, they are in demand mostly because of the backwards compatablity, i can't really sign in to psn, i think its just the account if you guys got one see if you can log in
I went into GameStop about 7 years ago and wanted one of these, the only one they had was on display and they didn’t even know if it worked, but they plugged it in and it did I think I had it for a year before it yellow lighted on me
I own 4 Fat PlayStation 3 consoles myself but unfortunately of the four that I have only two are backwards compatible with PS2 games and between those two one has the YLOD and a repair store said it can't be repaired while the other console actually turns on and works but even then I had to get it repaired and even after getting it repaired it only works for about an hour before it shut down on its own. As for the non backwards compatible ones one has the YLOD while the other one turns on only for the fans to start blowing like a jet engine within a minute. So needless to say I've not had the best luck getting a backwards compatible console.

I recommend putting gloves on before touching dirty stuff chief
I would be interested to buy the ps3 from you if you cleaned it and everything i have a cheche01 but it doesnt play all ps2 games sadly so i have been wanting a checha01
Are you sure? CECHE01 models should definitely be able to play PS2 games. Unless its broken
@@Solidcancer07 its limited and not all PS2 games plays good GT4 is the best example
I have 80 gb fat model in 2024 still working
I'm interested in this ps3.
My fav is a slim because it's at least compatible with PS1 games
The analogs were kind of sticky feeling for grip lol
Do not trust replace thermal paste yourself. What is needed is replacement of the thermal paste between CELL cpu and it's IHS. Removing IHS from the chip is very very risky. You should get it done. That will make your PS3 quiet. Replacing paste between IHS and heatsink will simply not do and will certainly not extend life of this console. I know what I am talking about. Good luck. Don't do it yourself.
Don't worry about the situation it is a black trim.
That PS3 isn't even on your website 😒
Buy a halo xune, lol. I had one til it became a brick after an update.
I remember back in 2009 when my backcompat PS3 triggered the yellow light. This was shortly after the Gen2 released and they announced that they would not replace it with a backcompat model. Really sucked…
I have the launch 60 gb and never got the yrod and looks as good as it did from day one. I don't know how the f**k people get their stuff this messed up?
You didn't even open it to clean it on camera?
Sup man love your video’s!
Thank you
Someone probably just lost the need for gaming or upgraded and never needed the old console. I personally can attest for this I work too much to game besides rarely so my old ps3 and Xbox 360 have been in retirement for 6 or 7 years.
looks that it has been opened by forcing the lid without having to remove the warranty sticker, be careful! could be heated up to temp fix it and than sell to people, it will ylod again
@Jacob R
My FAVORITE CONSOLE 🤩😁
i'm happy that i still have ONE 🙂
man i got a b01 recently that is incredibly clean and barely used, but it has the YLOD! CRAP!
That seems very expensive for a ps3
Surprisingly it's not. Backwards compatible ps3s go for a lot
What are your settings for best graphics on the backwards compatible PS3 for PS2 gaming
I just bought a wii mini last month and last week bought a wii with every thing included
(At goodwill in person)
i got one of these, they are in demand mostly because of the backwards compatablity, i can't really sign in to psn, i think its just the account if you guys got one see if you can log in
I have a ps3 just like that its in its box and is basically brand new and still in its original box how much could I sell it for?
I went into GameStop about 7 years ago and wanted one of these, the only one they had was on display and they didn’t even know if it worked, but they plugged it in and it did I think I had it for a year before it yellow lighted on me
PS3 Does not support Auto Fan Speed for ps2 games so it run at around 80% duty cycle.
I do this literally all the time, I can get the all black ones though because people WAAAY overpay for them
If u have a habitat for humanity thrift store by you. They check their electronics before selling them.
ps3 fat is my favorite cuz i have it
that warranty sticker doesn't mean anything if the top slides off. That means the plastic tab broke off.
What’s the best fan to use for the BWC ps3 15 blade fan or the 19 fan blade
19
thw lost jewel!!!!!!! i want it l
please
I hate that they do these sort of things by auction now. It's why you can't find these sort of things in there stores any more.
Now you can also jailbreak a PS3 Slim I did that it easy
Motorstorm fantastic game.
Dirty as hell 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I would be interested in a ps3 I really need one but could not find one on your website
The Back To The Future Game Is Actually Delisted
I would buy it from you as is, how much are you trying to sell it as is?
I Remember owning just like that one ps3 Fat console.
try buffing out the plastic with Meguiars PlastX
Actually the ps3 slim is also backwards compatible
Just jailbroke my CECH-E01 the other day. Sadly no ReBug firmware yet. Only EvilNat 4.88 CFW at the moment.
whats the difference between the two?
I own 4 Fat PlayStation 3 consoles myself but unfortunately of the four that I have only two are backwards compatible with PS2 games and between those two one has the YLOD and a repair store said it can't be repaired while the other console actually turns on and works but even then I had to get it repaired and even after getting it repaired it only works for about an hour before it shut down on its own. As for the non backwards compatible ones one has the YLOD while the other one turns on only for the fans to start blowing like a jet engine within a minute. So needless to say I've not had the best luck getting a backwards compatible console.
That like overheating issue
