- This is a rebuild video of a 2007 Honda Rancher 420 rear diff. All of the rear diffs on this body style Rancher will be the same process regardless of the year model. The kits below include the bearing and seals for the differential as well as the bearings and seals for the rear axle. #ad

Hey man, you're a star. Lots of common sense and clear explanations, I really appreciate you taking the time to post all of this online. Regards to your young 'un as well!
Why have I not found this channel before? Great work, subscribed!
Thanks for watching. Tell your friends about it. Lol
I think the reason they don't use sealed bearings in the diff is so that they can be lubricated by the diff oil. Watching your video gave me the confidence to tackle the task myself. Successfully completed.
Till the next episode ..two thumbs up
Great video.
Putting the bearings in the freezer for a while, and warming the body makes assembly straight forward.
Thanks and thanks for watching
Incredible video, thanks so much man
Thanks and thanks for watching
Did my rear diff on my 2012 Honda rancher last summer.
Had water inside, so I put in new bearings and seals, and the front and rear brakes
Man you helped alot good work man great video👌👌👌
Glad I could help and thanks for watching
Great video. Super helpful.
My issue is that I have oil in the brakes and axle tube. Seems like the right side diff seal needs replacing.
I realise I need to remove the axle but could I simply fit the seal while the diff is in place ?
Thanks in advance
Great video, thanks, I’m gonna have to do mine soon.
Thanks
Link for the seal kit please.
The drain plug screw snapped then I tried to drill it out but the screw went all the way into the differential, what is the easiest way I can get the screw out,
i need the full asembly for my honda rancher ... i need the whole rear end if u have one mine is a 2021 model i think its a 420 or 450
Would this make my diff quit leaking if I did all this and take the slack out of the drive shaft and help from getting water in the diff? Or should I just get a new diff
Great video. I bought the same kit for my rancher. Did you grease pack the bearings or put them in as is?
I do not pack them. Some are sealed bearing and the others are lubed with the gear oil so I don't think they need to be packed
Ok. Thanks
Where did you buy it as a kit
So I'm down to removing the needle bearing. I have spun the wire clip around to the opening and attempted to grab it. Now it is pushed farther in the groove and the wire clip gap is wider than the housing hole. I can no longer see the clip. How can I get that out?
See if you can stick another small piece of wire in there to push the clip on around. What I normally do is get the clip all the way across the hole to just at the edge and then take a screwdriver and bend the clip up so that you can grab it with needle nose.
Where did you order your rebuild kit?
I need help I pulled the shifter out of the side of the block with no effort it just came out what happened do I need to take it apart what do I do
Check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/wlvPCWjSOSE/v-deo.html
You are going to have to take the back of the motor apart and put the bolt back in that holds the shift shaft in the case.
Ok I took it apart and the bolt was loose and is there a compression release if you have it in gear because I have no compression and it is a 2008 honda foreman 500 it's not a es
@@redneckyt2860 it does have a compression release but it doesn't matter on the gear. It is a ring on the cam and it's automatic.
Ok
Thank you
Did you make a video on how to do the front?
No I do not have one. But the next one I get in, I will be sure to video it.
@@FourwheelerDoctor is it about the same as the rear? I rebuilt the rear yesterday
@@lanedegeneres4708 Yes they are very similar
How much would you charge me to rebuild a 1997 trx400fw rear differential
Where did you get the blind bearing puller ?
I think the one I have came from Amazon.
What brand rebuild kit did you use ?
I got mine off eBay from g&h atv .

Hey man I got a 2007 Honda rancher 420 and the fuel injection light and the temp light come on while it’s turning over. Any ideas? I’ve put 3 new batteries in it within 2 weeks and a new fuel pump the last time it did that the battery was going dead. The light come on when the key is turned on like it should but then while your starting they come on to
Sounds like a short in the electric system
I had this problem was the key switch
What’s size and brand of tires are on the red Honda in the video?
They are super swamper vampire tires and I believe they are 25x 8 and 25x12
I have no power to key switch showing 12 volts to starter relay I have cleaned my grounds checked for shorts followed all my wires they go in a control module I still have spark but fourwheeler won’t start is my module bad
04 Honda recon trx250te es
If you are getting spark it probably isn't the module. Have you checked all the fuses? I just had one last night that wouldn't do anything when you hit the start button and it ended up being the connection of the fuses. I changed all the fuses and cleaned the connections and it fired up.
Okay thank you u just saved me from buy a 250 dollar part
Calling that thing a "differential" is a bit of a stretch. It drives a single live axle to both wheels.
By putting a kid to take it apart is telling everybody that if they couldn't take it apart, there's something wrong with them
Not really because this kid kinda has the home court advantage so to speak lol.
OMG ...get a cheap pressure washer and clean your mess before u work on shit
