Excavator wand is great for many reasons. It's pretty tough to reach 60 str / 60 perception without it, and it also has the health trait which leq wand doesn't have. Other than that it's passive is borderline broken. The tooltip isn't correct, it's not "heal per 6 seconds" it's actually a heal PER second for 6 seconds. Not only that; it's also influenced by your stats (skill heal, skill boost) and so on. I did some testing with the exca passive procc and a single swift heal can heal 14-18k hp on my current build.

You are better with the understanding of the game, the quick question is - CAN Melee Endurace finally become viable instead of Melee Evasion for this class ? I am afraid that I have been following a wrong build. Cant link it here but maybe you have time to check it out.
Heya, I'm not familiar with the metabattle builds. However I'm quite confident that this will not impact wand/staff in terms of builds. Melee Evasion / Ranged Endurance will stay great. For everything that's not wand/staff or dagger/X, endurance will become better than it was. Especially for Bow/X and Spear/X. My guess is that the endurance-ceiling will go higher, which means DPS needs to stack crit more to get a crit-sweet spot. They will most likely need to sacrifice (some) hit for this, which will in turn make our evasion better than it was before.
@@RandomToch I have read everything you said. I've been running 70 str 40 perc 38 wisdom. 4 piece ascended+sabatons of field general. I have 970 melee endurance, ~170 ranged, and ~670 magic endurance along with 18,455 HP. I wish i could swap magic endurance for ranged for the spin to win players, but the added heal power is so nice for the heal reductions. Lately for arena i run 50 str, 60 in perc and still have over 30% cd speed. I needed perc to have 710 hit chance to land freeze and sleep (could hit 790 but don't have hit chance on my umbramancer since was mainly for heal stats on my 70 str build which has atrocious hit rate but great survival.) I use the focus skill to have skills on really low cooldowns to cycle heals and CC. I will eventually graduate into a heavy set that gives melee and ranged endurance since mages aren't really the problem for me
Hi, I play in a flank party and I feel a bit slow to keep up with Ebon roar sabatons. Would you say is viable to switch those boots for Sabatons of the field General? Also I prefer to go 70 str 50 Per for extra survivability. I dont mind droping to 500 something hit. For this I also need Ebon Roar Gaunlets. In the end in your Novemeber goal (With purple cloak and belt) I'd go from your 1824 eva to 1702 eva but gaining move speed, 1k HP and the 70 str defense boost. So my main question is, would I notice the difference between 1.8k and 1.7k eva? Ty
You'll notice it but it's a viable option. 70 str / 50 perception is perfectly fine, you should still be able to hit many enemies. I haven't found an ideal build for me yet as I don't want to sacrifice the melee evasion that much.
I play dagger wand on ranged and magic evasion but i feel like i get ownd every engage from a gs sns or dagger gs should i go on some melee evasion as bomber?
For Dagger/Wand both Magic/Ranged evasion and Melee/Ranged evasion are viable. If you do large scale and are a backline bomber - Magic/Ranged Evasion is the way to go If you do small scale and arena's - Melee evasion/Ranged Evasion is the way to go. If you play as a large scale backline bomber and you go melee evasion; melee won't be an issue anymore but both magic and ranged will be a significantly larger issue. So I'd probably just stay ranged/magic evasion and try to stay clear of GS's.
im a gs dagger, my built is 1800 melee eva with 800 ranged eva, i don't think the ranged evasion is doing anything for me, i get destroyed by ranged players. Do you think i should swap to ranged endurance?
Yes. I’m at 1120 like he says and it pretty much does nothing unless they aren’t geared players. Which most people have maxed weapons at least so I’m gonna switch right now.
You could go 2 piece ascended and go full melee evasion / magic endurance. I just don't think it's very viable at this point, it leaves you too squishy in my eyes.
I saw that on the helmet and shoes there is a mana regen trait in your build, is it really worth it considering we already have the inner peace skill? I'm thinking about replacing it with movement speed on the shoes and melee endurance on the helmet, what do you think?
Inner Peace doesn't really give enough mana on it's own. Even if you manage your mana usage you'll end up out of mana at some point while Inner Peace is still on cooldown. Having some mana regen here and there mitigates that a bit. I'm sitting on 1200 mana regen and even at that point, I wish I had some more. That being said, the mana regen traits are mostly a 'Lack of other good traits' option. (Because we generally want Max Health / Melee Evasion / Ranged Endurance stacks) Swapping Mana Regen for Movement speed on boots is totally fine. Swapping Mana Regen for Melee Endurance on helmet isn't worth the effort.
