@ColdBwoyy i agree that as far as dps greatsword is better off with something else. But I think greatsword and wand is like a tier. Was doing crypt with some guild mats today and we only had me healing no tank and no one died. Just think it should go higher on the list it's a good alternative to shield and wand if you wanna do damage and tank at the same time just have to spec in to it.
@charlesruiz5543 i wish the weapons and gear upgrade mats and skill upgrade mats was easier to get or farm cuz I have 5 purple already and upgrade all that to 9 takes forever cuz you just dont get alot of mats so for me to switch armor and weapons now after I used so much to upgrade is not in the cards.
I'm new to this... is there any way to actually test dummy DPS and compare them with numbers? or all the tier lists are all based on the person's "feeling"?
I disagree with you saying the Longbow/Dagger lacks AOE capabilities. We have three actually 1. Flash Arrow upgraded to Flash Wave 2. Arrow Vortex upgraded to Tornado 3. Brutal Arrow upgraded to Gale Area
As a console player I’m having trouble in the early game as a beginner when actually learning my skills. I don’t have enough to set up a rotation since I’m only lvl 16 so I feel like I’m just mashing whatever is off cooldown and with XBow/Dagger if I’m far away doing XBow skills it feels clunky to walk up to the enemy to do dagger skills if I can’t recognize what I’m doing through mashing. Is there any way to make it feel more streamline and second natured?
as far as a greatsword/dagger build does it matter which weapon i have doing my auto attacks? I have mostly 2h abilities in my rotation but I like the look of holding and attacking eith daggers instead is there a downside to that?
@@nathanmassaro4422 While I'm not 100% sure I am pretty sure you're mainly always attacking with the gs specifically. Can you guys raite the weapon type best in slot instead of just the combination because there is a lot of weapons and some of them are better than the other ones and best on slot ...
The best weapons by themselves? Hmmm that’s hard because a build can’t be complete without 2 weapons. I would say crossbow, wand, greatsword, staff and longbow for the best?
Hmm, definitely disagree with the GS/Wand in D tier, it's at minimum B tier if you focus on CC synergy between the wand and GS skills. Just my opinion though
I literally see greatsword users way more than crossbows. I'm using crossbow with wand but I see everyone always list that combo as a support but I'm playing it as a DPS
One of the things I haven’t seen much about is that liberators (longbow/staff) seem to like using the staff as your primary Auto attack generator? Which never made sense to me since longbow has a passive that you’ll wanna use that generates extra shots which comes to being just free damage 🤔
@@regesteel548 I think that only applies to the barrage spell and the firebomb alteration. If it DOES apply to the auto attack, it’s not taken in any builds that I’ve found
I’ll add to this: Longbow/Xbow always showcases longbow as the primary weapon, therefor it’s the auto attacking weapon. Short of the 16 yard range over the 12, wouldn’t taking Xbow as the primary weapon be better as it procs additional attacks via the passive skill? Especially once you get more secondary weapon attack %? I never see any guides offering any statistics behind the difference in auto attack damage
@@Raydr62 Passives automatically apply to your character as long as the criteria is met, regardless of which weapon is currently primary. Example: Dagger crit buffs and dmg is still applied even when not using a dagger
Is it easy to transition from Longbow / Crossbow to Daggers / Crossbow? I only have a green Longbow and Blue Crossbow, but I just got Purple Daggers from a chest so thought i'd switch as it's a good build?
The game with seemingly lot of class options but realistically many of them aren't worth playing or mentioning. :D Especially how punishing leveling weapons, multi classing and leveling gear is. Also dam if I wanna play mage or healer then the meta is to take bow with it. Anything else isnt even worth to talk about. Except maybe staff/wand which is the 1 I like. I wish more games chose GW2 way of making classes. Then you have actually good variety of worthwile build while keeping class/character fantasy alive. Here we really only have 1-2 of each roles as great - meta combinations and rest are for fun for leveling if you want. Or maybe some not so specialised build can work in solo or arena pvp too, but that seems to be about it. Personally I always want to play both DPS and Healers in mmos. Probably going to take a long while and possibly some cash to pull of depending how much materials etc upgrading will require... Wish system was more flexible and cash shop was more about cool skins and morphs etc.

I think GS/XBow (outrider) got left out. It doesnt look meta but damn it's fun and strong if you play right and build right. But thats most classes that aren't based on Staff or bow lol.
I might try out GS/Dagger (ravager) too. As far as pvp goes, it's probably the highest damage
Yep I'm currently second highest pvp kids in my rank 9 guild and #92 on the server for kill ranking as x box greatsword
Yes I forgot to mention it but it’s in the pinned comment at the top!
Greatsword and wand is awesome idk what u saying. Been doing level 50 dungeons with it and never die do good dps and help the healer heal me and tank cuz we close to the boss and the healer can heal the range dps that have no idea what they doing besides button mashing.
It is good. There’s just better choices in my opinion 👍 thanks for the comment and play with what you enjoy! It’s okay to have a different opinion.
I agree GS/Wand is great for dps/healing/tank never die or loose mana with my build
Dont worry gs/wand has its niche even in KR server though lately majority moved to wand dagger.
I’m enjoying Wand/Dagger combo
I started using Wand + Dagger, its strange, but working together in PVE as a DPS? 😬
Gs/daggers loving it, constant 30-40 kills on world bosses
Great choice 💪🏼
I'm new to this... is there any way to actually test dummy DPS and compare them with numbers? or all the tier lists are all based on the person's "feeling"?
I disagree with you saying the Longbow/Dagger lacks AOE capabilities. We have three actually
1. Flash Arrow upgraded to Flash Wave
2. Arrow Vortex upgraded to Tornado
3. Brutal Arrow upgraded to Gale Area
I see what you mean. Would you classify bow/dagger as an S Tier then?
But the aoe damage is not so good.. i play longbow/dagger but i will switch to gs/dagger or gs/staff
I play GS/SS it a beast
All I wanted was to main daggers 😭
i had to compromise on crossbow daggers, play around with the kit and it feels quite rougish!
@@Nighttimes. honestly sounds a lot like OG rouge from vanilla WoW when they still had range weapon slots
So dagger always equip in the off hand?
Yes!
Trust me, when you unlock more skills it will be easy to grasp. Just give it time. It will feel awkward at first.
@@ColdBwoyyI’ll give it more practice
This is the only game that is as good as the commercial
Greatsword and dagger is a S tier
Whatever Rpg I play i always love playing a longbow (ranger/archer) build, it makes me feel like Legolas...
I use the longbow/dagger combo and it’s amazing 👍
I was thinking that one too but might go with the longbow/staff tho, that AoE damage will definitelycome in handy in the future
@@ColdBwoyyHey, same here. Longbow/Dagger is officially my main combo. I love it.
@@albertovaldivia6132Hey, I’m actually thinking about giving that weapon combo a try sometime.
nice video my dude thks
Thanks! I appreciate you watching 🙏🏻
My greatsword staff war wizard begs to differ
Gs/staff is king
Sentinels we up🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
as far as a greatsword/dagger build does it matter which weapon i have doing my auto attacks? I have mostly 2h abilities in my rotation but I like the look of holding and attacking eith daggers instead is there a downside to that?
Keep the daggers as an offhand weapon. Mainhand the greatsword as your primary 👍
@@nathanmassaro4422 While I'm not 100% sure I am pretty sure you're mainly always attacking with the gs specifically. Of course this is likely situational but I believe you rarely use the daggers and are only using them for certain abilities and passives. I don't play it tho so can't say for certain but I've seen streamers so that's all I've got as a reference.
Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I literally see greatsword users way more than crossbows. I'm using crossbow with wand but I see everyone always list that combo as a support but I'm playing it as a DPS
Gs wand geez idc I'm going fully holy knight
One of the things I haven’t seen much about is that liberators (longbow/staff) seem to like using the staff as your primary Auto attack generator? Which never made sense to me since longbow has a passive that you’ll wanna use that generates extra shots which comes to being just free damage 🤔
I thought the staff had a similar skill that double up its projectiles.
Staff in PVE is held in main hand due to its passives
In pvp bow is held in main hand due to its passives
@@Raydr62 Passives automatically apply to your character as long as the criteria is met, regardless of which weapon is currently primary. Example: Dagger crit buffs and dmg is still applied even when not using a dagger
Is it easy to transition from Longbow / Crossbow to Daggers / Crossbow? I only have a green Longbow and Blue Crossbow, but I just got Purple Daggers from a chest so thought i'd switch as it's a good build?
Does it matter what slots your weapons are in? I have sns and wand. I have wand as main weapon and sns as secondary.. should i switch them around?
Nice didn't know I picked an s tier weapon swap I just really like being a healer in any MMO so wand/longbow was a no brainer
how would dual crossbows and a long bow pair up?
11:54 👍
Wait so is picking dagger bow different then bow dagger?
Yes because ones a mainhand and the other is offhand
My combo is Main greatsword and secondary shield sword, i guess thats also an S tier?
Oh yeah. One of the absolute best setups for a tank currently.
The game with seemingly lot of class options but realistically many of them aren't worth playing or mentioning. :D
Especially how punishing leveling weapons, multi classing and leveling gear is.
Umm where was great sword and crossbow Combo is that like not an option or something? Currently downloading the game so would be good to know 😊
im level 19 and running staff and daggers. It too late to change the daggers to wand or should I?
It is not too late to change
@ColdBwoyy I appreciate it brother. This game has alot to it so I'm grateful for the tips. I didn't even know how to sens that pet on adventures if not for youtube
@@CheeseurWiz
I'm at level 50 and constantly changing builds for testing and I can tell you, test everything you want, you'll only really invest in something when you decide and that can take as long as it takes Note: These guide videos are only for you to see the combinations, play with what makes you feel most comfortable because if you play based on the tier list you are likely to hate the game instead of loving it.
The best thing you can do play GS ONLY
Sounds like daggers needs an overall damage buff, to make them really strong. Main weapon
Yes u agree!
This video did not do an accurate job showcasing daggers.
Wand/Dagger B tier is pure delusion, there is a reason why the top PVP guilds value wand/daggers
Each weapon has PVP and PVE in mind. Not just one. They were rated based off of effectiveness in both.
i came in expecting to be told my long bow/wand setup was gonna be graded an F. Then got told it was an S. 🤩
Ultimate healer setup 🔥
It has the most healing throughput in the game. It isn’t as adaptable or versatile as staff/wand, but it can put up huge numbers for sure.
Staff/wand can be a good Dps ? Or its heal/sapport
It can be great for DPS especially for AOE
It can be configured for single or multi DPS as well as healing - it's good all around.
@@hadoken95 thx play staff/dager before whant test some neew
What about staff longbow?
12:15 👍
No GS crossbow tier?
Check pinned comment
If I could remove 1 weapon from the game it would be daggers. So overpowered, there is no reason to play anything else in offhand, especially in PvP
They are really strong.
What weapon do I use in my hand, staff or wand?
I'd move dagger/wand to A as the statement about being weak in pvp is flat out wrong and it's solid in pve
Sword and shield with staff is the most op tank build i have all the aoe and all the tanking down i let them swarm me and watch them all fry.
Bruh I’m crossbow and wand 🥲 I don’t have purple weapons yet should I just swap?
Do whatever you’re comfortable doing! Do you enjoy the playstyle? If so stick with it. If not, choose one of the higher tier options 👍
@@ColdBwoyy I feel like I am lacking sometimes in the damage department but healing myself is kinda clutch too in a fight also an extra heal is nice in dungeons. Been kinda feeling like I should swap but I feel like I’m too far in.
As soon as you put Greatsword and wand in D tier, I knew you had zero clue what you were talking about lol
Here I’ll just put everything at S Tier so I can please everyone. Sound good?
Its true though, lol. You wont be invited to end game groups and it doesnt do much in pvp either compared to literally any other wand combination
Read so many comments, and it seems I'm the only one who picked GS/crossbow. What are your thoughts on it? I'm brand new to the game and saw that there is a small synergy with GS dashes and crossbow's skill after dash, but that's as far as it goes I think?
It will still work and feel effective! There’s just slightly better options that’s all. I’m sure you can make it work
I'm shocked great sword and wand is so low, that's the only alternative I'm interested in but lack of synergy checks out.
Wand n daggers is mad dps build
Shield sword with crossbows is so OP
Daggers do a duck ton of burst damage
lies tl has no range weapons 10 foot is not range i run a bow GS build
The bow and staff are really nice i d say s tier 4 sure
I can't decide gs dagger or staff dagger
GS and dagger is the best melee build in the game
xbow/gs still getting the kinks out but see great potential. Most importantly having fun in all content. Biggest + is self-sustainability is S tier. No need to even get mana regen
I still dont know what should i choose. I want to focus mainly on PvE but PvP is also fine with me. I want most satysfying build with nice visuals and big AoE. Anyone has an idea what should i pick?
You could try staff/longbow which has great AOE and is the best long range setup. Or greatsword/sword and shield for good AOE and tank abilities!
Staff dagger is the biggest aoe you can get I'm pretty sure in terms of damage numbers since daggers give you boosted crit damage.
@@LumieXwhat ? Staff dager is literally single target burst combo. Staff/longbow is the AOE combo lmao
@@PaPajuZ Huh? Staff anything is aoe lol. The staff is a lot of aoe on its own and since dagger boosts damage numbers, you'll see the biggest single aoe hits from staff dagger.
@@LumieX sure bro cope harder lmao
Any idea between tank and dps which one is in shorter supply? I've been hearing conflicting opinions on this. I already know certain dungeons will have more tanks queueing, cause of the loot pool, etc, so I mean in other content, rather than dungeons that have weird loot pool diversity.
That’s a tough one. I think it’s harder to find DPS players tbh. So I would say DPS are in shorter supply compared to tanks imo.
I'm using a GS and xbow as of now at lvl30, and i'm starting to felt short on PVP. Planned to build the GS/SnS when i get lvl50. Tell me if its not good to wait for lvl50 to build the gs/sns or i need to run the gs/sns right now at lvl30
You want to switch early as you’re getting weapon mastery already plus why level up skills that you’re not gonna use
The problem isn't the weapon combo. The issue is you're lvl 30. If you're attending pvp events you'll be seeing plenty of lvl 50 players with better stats and more skills upgraded.
I'm currently xbow greatsword and I'm second highest kills in my ranked 9 guild and #92 on my server in kill rankings.
PS I'm free to play no swipe
@@cenciqt6045 thank you, I keep that in mind

GS/Bow for me!
Where my staff and crossbow brothers at
SnS / Wand is still absurdly OP in small scale. People are straight garbage with it in large scale in global atm. Trying to play it as a front line heal and getting obliterated
Nothing against you in particular, but why are most tier lists so wildy different? Specially below S tier. I just watched one that said dagger/wand was great for pvp but lacking in pve.... The opposite of whats here.
This list is subjective. Everyone is going to have their own opinions. It’s just the way it is. I tried my best to explain why I made each decision for each weapon combination!
I just changed from xbow/dagger to long bow/dagger.
Xbow dagger is fun with the mobility skills but i like the long bow more with the heal and regen.
Can’t do damage if you’re dead. 😂
I dont think gs/staff is D tier, It feels great, looks so cool, and awesome damage and cc. it kills people fast too.

I would go crossbow dagger
Greatsword/Crossbow cuz I I don’t like following meta 😂 still been a fun time
