Outside of that all of the healing skills synergies work together great in basically all aspects of the game, purifying touch is good in group combats and is weirdly great against certain bosses who have powerful debuffs
I been playing as paladin pretty much since the very first MMO I actually played. That game sadly being new world. Then lost ark. And now this game. I just love being a tanks that can heal if needed
I'm doing a crossbow and sword and shield build. I understand what you mean with them scaling with opposite stats, but I found they work surprisingly well together as a dodge tank. They both give dodge bonuses as well as both using weaknesses. You can also get synergy with the crossbows cc cure while tanking.
Oh yeah I’m sure it works great! It wasn’t my intention to make a specific weapon combo feel useless. It was just difficult to place each combo in a tier since every combination will work for certain people. 👍
Yeah I use that combo and it’s crazy good, if I don’t block or absorb the damage I evade it. And the marking them with weak plus the roar to put down their defense is crazy good. The only downside that I noticed is when you’re under gear level things hit you like a truck
@@ColdBwoyy Oh I know that's not what you meant with this video. I actually agree with where you put the combo on your list too, just thought I'd share how I'm making it work.
Just found out about this game and it checks on everything I care about in a game and doesn't have anything that would throw me off the game like recent titles. Guess I'm going with GS/DGs
Nice, I didn't think my choice would be S-tier but sword&board + wand for paladin sounded good in theory. It's good to hear it panned out now I just need to pick out a name after all the names had already been taken. I wish there were servers staggered releases like 1 each week because it makes it difficult to acquire the perfect for your playstyle.
That bass sounds good. I went Templar on day one pre youtubing. Wand Sns. Definitely low damage and requires discipline to play because it's not the most rewarding and doesn't have great escape when ganged but it holds up really well and takes time for people to take you down.
I LOVE the playstyle of SwordStaff as a damage tank with my co-op friend in world grinding, but maybe I'll try working some of these other setups in my other gear sets and see how it pairs in more structured content. Thanks for the info.
Staff and shield is OP i take no damage but just dish out long range AOE. They get too close i bind them back up and freeze and electrify. almost got first place in a wolf hunt at lvl 19
Same, I was LATE probably more than 5 minutes to a field event in the eastern desert (where we need to kill demons), and I was somehow able to get 7th rank (and I wasnt even max level nor in decent gear). SnS survivability + Staff's AoE burst is just nasty.
SnS / Wand is still absurdly OP in small scale. People are straight garbage with it in large scale in global atm. Trying to play it as a front line heal and getting obliterated
I feel gs/wand is better then he explains especially pve where u have a lot of health good damage and can help ur healer keep everyone alive , it’s a great solo pve, and with the right gear think it will be good at pvp
It definitely is, I feel like there's more to it than what was said. GS/Wand is a nice melee support with good DPS and helps healer. It can also be a tank with the right setup and a good off-tank. Basically a jack of all trades
@@Raydr62 unfortunately you are incorrect. I am playing it as a tank in PVE. It has specs to up agro and when Magna’s greatsword lets you provoke with that one ability that hits 3 times (forgot the name), which forces the boss to attack you. I have kept agro from sns/gs many times in dungeons and tanked bosses successfully many times. I usually join 3k+ CP runs as well with high output DPS, it can tank.
I knew I wanted sword and board mixed with either wand or greatsword when I started. Ended up going with greatsword just for the slightly simpler gameplay loop as a tank. I liked the Idea of being able to switch between tank and support with the sword/want build, but it seemed like an easy way to screw up and end up meh at a bunch of things instead of great at one or two.
Hmm, definitely disagree with the GS/Wand in D tier, it's at minimum B tier if you focus on CC synergy between the wand and GS skills. Just my opinion though
Greatsword wand combination is a very strong combination that fits great together. Even some very experienced rpg youtubers recommend it. Definitely not a D tier.
Crossbow/Greatsword 25 levels controller here. I mainly upgrade crossbow and it's insane that most damage comes from Gs . The combo works great but you gotta go tanky abit otherwise it's not gonna work I think
Longbow/Wand. But as DPS. I'm having a lot of fun. Just have to clarify I have no healing when I join groups lol. Debuffs, Vamp Passive, High Crit, and Cooldown speed.. literally can't die.
Picked Crossbow dagger because it made sense... Looked at every party board, and EVERYONE is min-maxing crossbow dagger, so I looked here to find the second best. lmao
thats the biggest issue with people who make these videos. in this video he does not state whether this tier is an average ranking, just pve or just pvp, this is very important when it comes to making these. i wouldnt pay attention to a single thing this guy says simply due to that reason. i know for a fact that SNS/wand are extremely helping in sieges because of their sleep bombs, and then the ability to jump on those sleepers with other melee, and help keep the melee alive while they are breaking up and killing the other group
Youre wrong with the staff and shield combo you should be specifying in to the attacks missing you so you can gather the agro and then wipe the floor with everything yhe stagg i not just aoe as ot had a high damage fore bomb perfrct for single targets i regularly am the last alive yo finish a boss off 😅
xbow/gs still getting the kinks out but see great potential. Most importantly having fun in all content. Biggest + is self-sustainability is S tier. No need to even get mana regen
I main Greatsword. Tried bow at first (since it's starting combo) but quickly changed to crossbows. I played some time with them but wanted to check something else so I picked up dagger but for like a moment to just go back crossbow. But a moment I switched back to longbow and added healing combo I feel like tanky DPS with quite good self sustain healing. A true working hybrid I really enjoy to play. Honestly for solo content, abyssal dungeons and as off-tank in co-op dungeons (in case tank dies or screw things up) nothing beats it. In PvP Arenas I may have the low DPS but the amount of CC + survival options gives suprising results. I may go back to crossbows but never to daggers. Sorry but it's overrated.
@@ColdBwoyy if that suits you... I honestly feel too powerful with GS/bow combo to switch to anything else. Definitely not gonna put GS/dagger so high and GS/bow or crossbow so low. For me GS/bow is A. crossbow B and dagger C.
I'm curious to see where my build lands on the list, obviously in my opinion the one I chose is S tier but only at its one very specific job: don't die.
IMO SnS/GS should be A tier simple for how good it is in PVE. It really just not as great as people want to claim in high CP PVP. Early mid gear PVP it good sense everyone is squishy and you can 1-2 shot them and your only one that can't be be 1-2 shot, but once people start getting those traits that make them just as tanky the dmg for SnS/GS is basically zero, you'll either never be in a position to hit people cause of how clunky melee is and how often you'll be stuck in 6-8s bind debuffs not being able to do anything but twiddle your thumbs (amazing gameplay BTW, I like how long binds last in this game and how often people can spam them plus how blocking them doesn't actually prevent that CC which really only fucks over SnS/GS sense GS/Dagger has a skill that let them break out of it.), and when you do get on someone you'll either miss 80% of your attacks cause they'll have 1.8k Melee evasion and your pathetic 1k hit chance means nothing to them, or you'll only hit them for 2k with your strongest attack cause they can easly get more Melee endurance then you have Melee crit rate so you'll always hit for the lowest possible dmg or not at all. PVE SnS/GS one of the best for solo farming but that really it. Plus also to mention it easy to see a SnS/GS player coming at you from a mile away and time your dodge roll so they miss their CCs on you not so the case for every other weapon in the game do to their instead cast CCs from across the map.
i would argue that dagger/wand is higher if not S tier due to sleep bombing in large scale pvp. its disgusting a bit niche but is probably going to get nerfed due to the sheer ability to damn near sleep and explode half a zerg i basically agree with the rest of the list though its p spot on.
I started playing Staff/daggers and I've found a pop in/pop out playstyle that seems really fluid in debuffs/huge aoe, but I'd like to shift to all long range, what do you think should i should go for? Wand or bow?
I choose Staff and wand , because I just thought it synergize because its magic never thought it would be strong. I was gonna go for a full support build.
I literally see greatsword users way more than crossbows. I'm using crossbow with wand but I see everyone always list that combo as a support but I'm playing it as a DPS
I just changed from xbow/dagger to long bow/dagger. Xbow dagger is fun with the mobility skills but i like the long bow more with the heal and regen. Can’t do damage if you’re dead. 😂
I'm new to this... is there any way to actually test dummy DPS and compare them with numbers? or all the tier lists are all based on the person's "feeling"?
I dont recommend crossbow dagger, it is really annoying in skill rotation, you have to press 2 skill Then 7 skills in 6 seconds buff to maxout your damage literally same rotation for every mob you fight I press 2 buff and keep spam 1232324, which hurt my eyes and fingers also the skills dash backward, so you have to keep walking back to fight, I just have to over do for small thing I just switch to greatsword, its so much easier
Is it easy to transition from Longbow / Crossbow to Daggers / Crossbow? I only have a green Longbow and Blue Crossbow, but I just got Purple Daggers from a chest so thought i'd switch as it's a good build?
I just started and went daggers and longbow because of the healing capabilities of the longbow. However, do daggers/crossbow offer healing abilities too?
I use Crossbow/Wand&Tome combo not because of the heals, but because of the weaking curses, if i remember correctly crossbow has abilities that deal extra damage to weakened targets, so thats what i have on one of my characters. Currently on another char to try daggers & longbow (longbow as support for debuffs mainly) and its really fun!
Ive had some good luck with sns/xbow using the diffusion to keep your cooldowns up and keep weakens stacked, but i do see the downsides you say i just think its maybe c or b if built right
I am using great sword and shield as primary and for dungeons the shield and wand, the second option sometimes doesn’t feel so great if you are below level 50, but I believe after it should be amazing for surviving
I disagree with the Wand/Bow. It might be because I am only level 26, but I do not lack in damage what so ever. The single target damage is great although the AOE lacks a little
How effective, late game, is multitasking? Currently, I'm sword and wand. But what if later I want to have that and great sword? Is that viable to swap out?
as far as a greatsword/dagger build does it matter which weapon i have doing my auto attacks? I have mostly 2h abilities in my rotation but I like the look of holding and attacking eith daggers instead is there a downside to that?
@@nathanmassaro4422 While I'm not 100% sure I am pretty sure you're mainly always attacking with the gs specifically. Of course this is likely situational but I believe you rarely use the daggers and are only using them for certain abilities and passives. I don't play it tho so can't say for certain but I've seen streamers so that's all I've got as a reference.
Does Main hand means the weapon you have out, or thr majority of thr skills you use from that weapon? Cause i find daggers to deal more dps on normal attacks than GS, but i use mostly the greatsword skills. I'm noob so i don't really understand the terms 😁
How would you rate great sword for main hand and sword/shield for offhand? Or would it just be better to always go sword/shield main hand and greatsword for offhand?
You could try testing both but honestly both will serve the same purpose! You won’t sacrifice anything really since you’ll mainly be taking anyways and will always have access to the greatsword skills
@@ColdBwoyyok thanks bro. I also thought about using greatsword and wand because of the amount of people saying it’s good. Not sure what skills to max other than strength if I go that route.
How in the world is greatsword a great aoe weapon? There are two skills with specialisation, that can do dmg in tiny aoe and it's rng locked, so if you group up mobs and don't get lucky, you are stuck with them for 20 more seconds. The other skills that can inflict aoe do no dmg whatsoever and are there for effects. Am i missing something? I have it with dagger and i really wish i had staff with me

ye i run that basically too. a mix of tank+dps+cc with team and self heal options and still not bad damage output. i don't use the bow actively yet tho, i might try weaponswap once i get a legendary bow, but for now i just use its healing skills
@@andrewstricher144 I recommend strafing in general because it amazing single target damage especially with extra projectiles, ensnaring for anything pvp related, and Deadly marker for bosses.
Outside of that all of the healing skills synergies work together great in basically all aspects of the game, purifying touch is good in group combats and is weirdly great against certain bosses who have powerful debuffs
Great voiceover. Watching while downloading. Appreciate it
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. 🙏🏻
I been playing as paladin pretty much since the very first MMO I actually played. That game sadly being new world. Then lost ark. And now this game. I just love being a tanks that can heal if needed
Wonderful structure to your video. This was. Very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
That’s great to hear! I hope you enjoy the game 😁
Gs/daggers loving it, constant 30-40 kills on world bosses
Great choice 💪🏼
Crossbow and dagger for me 😎 picked it before I even watched this it’s just so cool
Rocking this right now, may be a sleeper build fr
Same, I was LATE probably more than 5 minutes to a field event in the eastern desert (where we need to kill demons), and I was somehow able to get 7th rank (and I wasnt even max level nor in decent gear). SnS survivability + Staff's AoE burst is just nasty.
I want to try this
SnS / Wand is still absurdly OP in small scale. People are straight garbage with it in large scale in global atm. Trying to play it as a front line heal and getting obliterated
Ha haaa! I KNEW my staff/longbow was going to be high up this list! So much dmg and nothing can touch me!
I feel gs/wand is better then he explains especially pve where u have a lot of health good damage and can help ur healer keep everyone alive , it’s a great solo pve, and with the right gear think it will be good at pvp
yep due to [vital force] that give a lot of hit there no need to put stat on precision.
Use whatever you like 😁 Like I said these lists are subjective everyone has their own rankings
It definitely is, I feel like there's more to it than what was said. GS/Wand is a nice melee support with good DPS and helps healer. It can also be a tank with the right setup and a good off-tank. Basically a jack of all trades
@@eeveeny4729 It cant be a tank at all because it severely struggles holding aggro
This is the only game that is as good as the commercial
I knew I wanted sword and board mixed with either wand or greatsword when I started. Ended up going with greatsword just for the slightly simpler gameplay loop as a tank.
I liked the Idea of being able to switch between tank and support with the sword/want build, but it seemed like an easy way to screw up and end up meh at a bunch of things instead of great at one or two.
Sword and shield with staff is the most op tank build i have all the aoe and all the tanking down i let them swarm me and watch them all fry.
My greatsword staff war wizard begs to differ
Gs/staff is king
Sentinels we up🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wow. I must be a natural I picked an A-tier setup without looking up anything! Nice!
What did you go with?
Crossbow/Greatsword 25 levels controller here. I mainly upgrade crossbow and it's insane that most damage comes from Gs . The combo works great but you gotta go tanky abit otherwise it's not gonna work I think
I want GS/xBow to be good just so I can make Guts for my 2nd character lol
GS/xBow is amazing you have damage and decent sustain I manage to do well in arena pvp also
Sounds like daggers needs an overall damage buff, to make them really strong. Main weapon
Yes u agree!
This video did not do an accurate job showcasing daggers.
Daggers are strong af already lol
Longbow/Wand. But as DPS. I'm having a lot of fun. Just have to clarify I have no healing when I join groups lol. Debuffs, Vamp Passive, High Crit, and Cooldown speed.. literally can't die.
Sounds like you got a really cool build!
Picked Crossbow dagger because it made sense... Looked at every party board, and EVERYONE is min-maxing crossbow dagger, so I looked here to find the second best. lmao
Paladin Hurt, Paladin Heal. Paladin defend, Paladin Attack. SnS/Wand is bursting at the seems with pvp capabilities.
thats the biggest issue with people who make these videos. in this video he does not state whether this tier is an average ranking, just pve or just pvp, this is very important when it comes to making these. i wouldnt pay attention to a single thing this guy says simply due to that reason. i know for a fact that SNS/wand are extremely helping in sieges because of their sleep bombs, and then the ability to jump on those sleepers with other melee, and help keep the melee alive while they are breaking up and killing the other group
I just started and this was my first pick.
I got GS+Bow but i like playing like this!
I picked the Greatsword and daggers.I like the high damage, and critical damage that I can do throughout the game.
I'd move dagger/wand to A as the statement about being weak in pvp is flat out wrong and it's solid in pve
I'm shocked great sword and wand is so low, that's the only alternative I'm interested in but lack of synergy checks out.
I had to switch my staff for longbow since I didn’t see myself healing at my best with the staff. I use Longbow and wand now 😊
Nice video, thanks!
The mobility and crit buffs are so nice from the daggers tho!
I think you’re probably right, the effectiveness of your build is a lot about how you’re using it
Is the build your talking about that you picked is the sword and shield and greatsword.
Nice didn't know I picked an s tier weapon swap I just really like being a healer in any MMO so wand/longbow was a no brainer
I'm using shield + curse and I'll stick to it until I die :D
thank u very much for this guide bro
Automatically did the staff and daggers glad to see it's good lol
i would argue that dagger/wand is higher if not S tier due to sleep bombing in large scale pvp. its disgusting a bit niche but is probably going to get nerfed due to the sheer ability to damn near sleep and explode half a zerg
i basically agree with the rest of the list though its p spot on.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Been wanting to main dagger/wand but haven’t seen a build that I like since it’s rare. Helppp
GS + Dagger is amazing, love this combo (lvl 48 atm, and having a blast = pve only though!!)
You’re gonna love it in endgame it’s really strong!
I started playing Staff/daggers and I've found a pop in/pop out playstyle that seems really fluid in debuffs/huge aoe, but I'd like to shift to all long range, what do you think should i should go for? Wand or bow?
You could do wand and bow or staff and bow or longbow/daggers which is what I’m using 👍 you’ll feel like a true assassin
I choose Staff and wand , because I just thought it synergize because its magic never thought it would be strong. I was gonna go for a full support build.
Thanks for the video! Very informative! Btw can you share the preset for the UI? I would be very grateful
This is the UI you get for using a controller!
I literally see greatsword users way more than crossbows. I'm using crossbow with wand but I see everyone always list that combo as a support but I'm playing it as a DPS
I understand GS and wand being D tier HOWEVER, if you want a paladin build thats the go to. Tanky self healing and decent dps. PERFECT for soloing
Gs/dagger I’m hoping I’ll be annoying af in pvp. Pop up knock them down then burst
I went with Staff & Longbow for that magic archer feel from Dragons Dogma 🙌
Feel like we’re a very small % rn. I started staff wand and it felt stale so I went staff longbow and love it
@@julianbazman7504 I've seen a few but not many, honestly I've seen GS more than anything but not what weapons it's being paired with
planning the same, we increasing in numbers
I just changed from xbow/dagger to long bow/dagger.
Xbow dagger is fun with the mobility skills but i like the long bow more with the heal and regen.
Can’t do damage if you’re dead. 😂
Good point 😂
Whatever Rpg I play i always love playing a longbow (ranger/archer) build, it makes me feel like Legolas...
I use the longbow/dagger combo and it’s amazing 👍
I was thinking that one too but might go with the longbow/staff tho, that AoE damage will definitelycome in handy in the future
@@ColdBwoyyHey, same here. Longbow/Dagger is officially my main combo. I love it.
@@albertovaldivia6132Hey, I’m actually thinking about giving that weapon combo a try sometime.
I'm new to this... is there any way to actually test dummy DPS and compare them with numbers? or all the tier lists are all based on the person's "feeling"?
You can test it on the dummies
Does it matter what slots your weapons are in? I have sns and wand. I have wand as main weapon and sns as secondary.. should i switch them around?
I dont recommend crossbow dagger, it is really annoying in skill rotation, you have to press 2 skill
Then 7 skills in 6 seconds buff to maxout your damage
literally same rotation for every mob you fight
I press 2 buff and keep spam 1232324, which hurt my eyes and fingers
also the skills dash backward, so you have to keep walking back to fight, I just have to over do for small thing
I just switch to greatsword, its so much easier
Is it easy to transition from Longbow / Crossbow to Daggers / Crossbow? I only have a green Longbow and Blue Crossbow, but I just got Purple Daggers from a chest so thought i'd switch as it's a good build?
Crossbow daggers will give you very high DPS I would say it’s worth it just gotta get used to the skill rotations
@@ColdBwoyy I quite enjoy the barrage of skills from Crossbow and Longbow, only problem is mana runs out very quickly!
I just started and went daggers and longbow because of the healing capabilities of the longbow. However, do daggers/crossbow offer healing abilities too?
Crossbows are more for DPS. I’m using longbow and daggers as well and I like having the self healing capabilities from the longbow 👍
@@ColdBwoyy thx for the input!!
Great guide!
The single target damage is great although the AOE lacks a little
See what it feels like when you get to level 50 dungeons that are scaled to 6 players. I’m sure it will still be decent 👍
crossbows where you have to be close, with low survivability 😭 great start.
How effective, late game, is multitasking? Currently, I'm sword and wand. But what if later I want to have that and great sword? Is that viable to swap out?
As long as you have skill conversion books you can respec into a new build easily
as far as a greatsword/dagger build does it matter which weapon i have doing my auto attacks? I have mostly 2h abilities in my rotation but I like the look of holding and attacking eith daggers instead is there a downside to that?
Keep the daggers as an offhand weapon. Mainhand the greatsword as your primary 👍
@@nathanmassaro4422 While I'm not 100% sure I am pretty sure you're mainly always attacking with the gs specifically. Of course this is likely situational but I believe you rarely use the daggers and are only using them for certain abilities and passives. I don't play it tho so can't say for certain but I've seen streamers so that's all I've got as a reference.
i subscribed for more throne and liberty and even soulslike content
😂 thank you
Would Long bow and Dagger work ? i was thinking of trying this ?
This is what I main and it’s awesome 👍
I also have builds on my channel for it
@@ColdBwoyy Thanks ill check out the video 👌
Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Im a crossbow/wand user. Am I cooked? I like it a lot. My damage is alright and my heals arent bad either.
No you’re not cooked. You can make it work 😂
Good tier list.
btw idk why there's no axes or greataxes in this game
There's room for a new weapon later, based on the blank space in some screens. Maybe they'll add that or a rifle?
@@quintint3973 i heared something about Katana, Polearm or Scyte in December.
I have it with dagger and i really wish i had staff with me
Greatsword + SnS is one of the best AOE combos in the game with provoking and the ice spins
how about greatsword/crossbow? what tier would u put that in?
Check pinned comment
Im long bow + cross bow for double the pew pew and im loving it. If they add a mace, scythe, chakrams anything like that though thatll replace long bow. Definitely keeping cross bow though its too fun
