Hey Mav an idea for you, consider getting a ham radio license, the test is very easy with a little study and almost every state you will go to will have a repeater system that you will be able to use if you ever really get in a pinch.
Ay that's a good idea my dad uses ham radios the test isn't super hard to pass just study for it
Don't even need a Ham rig, a strong CB unit with an external antenna would be good enough. Police in every State monitor CB channels and they have very sensitive receivers/strong transmitters.
@@itsjohndell 20 to 25 years ago I would have agreed with you but not now very few agencies monitor CB traffic ( Some DOT or Troopers at weigh stations ) but for the most part I would not bet my life on anyone away from a highway or region for CB in an emergency. Ham radio is far superior for range and also the ability to use the local repeaters that will increase the range even further. Another option that is gaining is GMRS radio (test free and only costs $ to get the license) Gmrs also has many repeaters going up across the country. As an example, I live in New Mexico and we have a repeater network (34 repeaters I believe) that covers about 95% of the state so I can talk from one corner of the state to the other corner. I still love CB but I would not use it for anything further out than 5 to 20 miles reliably ( conditions vary widely )

quicktip: shovel snow onto the sides of the vehicle so that the underside doesn't release heat as easily. Same concept for living in a trailer, you shovel snow onto the sides of your skirting so that any heat lingering under your vehicle will rise up instead of releasing from the sides.

Truck cooking asmr. Makes me sleep like a baby haha
Burritos in a blizzard.. I think I’m in love lol
Hello! So after watching some of your videos I started researching, and I realized truck camper conversions are in fact pretty popular.
But most builds focus oj having a small bed on the driver side, maybe a countertop on the passenger side and enough space, a corridor in the middle to allow sitting up while cooking or doing stuff. The countertop includes lower shelves or cabinets for heaters or even a small sink. Your setup limits you instead to just use the camper for sleeping.
i have a setup like this inside the back of a van with the entire back except the back doors area converted to bed space. it requires doing more outside but i enjoy the space to stretch out and roll around. definitely a little less incognito
*cuts to someone buying a huge van and converting it into an rv and gaming studio*
