THe reason why I love Hord is that he wasn't just a mindless evil asshole, he was actually honorable and even inspired loyalty in his troops. That is exceptional for a Sith.

Theyre extended universe so most people dont know them. And it could end up as a Solo style bust bc they're unknown
Isaac Maya. Not if they start with a General Movie of the Old Republic & the Great Hyperspace Wars, to set the scene &gain Interest. Lots of people would be interested if you said there was a movie coming out that explained the great Jedi/Sith Wars of the past, even if they knew little of the Expanded Universe material. Then do more specialised & focused Movies on these Badass & Interesting characters.
Of course that would have worked Pre-Disney Era, but not so much under Disney control. Unless they decide to get rid of the Ideology pushing Idiots & get someone who just wants to tell the story based on the already Plentiful & Brilliant Source Material on hand.
So either Disney needs to step up to the plate or we need to wait until Star Wars changes hands again for it to happen, hopefully to someone who actually cares about the Franchise & doesn't just use it to push their Politics down people's throats.
(Below is just some general ranting & my opinion on things, not targeted at anyone particular)

His legend will always leave the question about who was the strongest of all Sith since as the video says, most records and even Hord's amassed knowledge was lost to time. Had he returned, Sidious would fear him immediately and possibly side with the Jedi just to take him out.

@@camo327 That doesn't mean they're more powerful. Sidious isnt a fool. He may be ridiculously powerful but he knows he nor any other sith or jedi are invincible. Star Wars isnt fucking dragonball z you're not untouchable because you have wizard powers. Dont get me wrong tulak hord would give sidious the fight of his life but if you count each character's relevant feats(although now legends, including hords entire existence, thanks disney) sidious comes out on top. He fears them like he feared yoda, because they can rival him and if they confront sidious together or plot against him they could be a threat if not to him to his empire. He fears someone stumbling upon their teachings because sidious became as powerful as he did studying the sith lords of old, he can even speak their language. He fears them moreso because they're dangerous rivals not his superiors. Only exception to that would be vitiate/valkorion who was sidious' possible equal as both attained immortality and planet devastating powers. Naga Sadows best feats, manipulation of stars, require alot of preparation and ritual and arent something you can just use like a lightsaber in combat. Still if naga sadow wanted to overthrow the empire he could just have coruscants sun explode. Sidious could avoid this but now the economic and political center of the galaxy is in ruin and sidious is broke lol.

I knew Tulak Hord was powerful when it was said that he knew the secret to true immortality. Something no other Sith has truly acquired. Sure, there’s the transferring of bodies like Sidious and Vitiate did, but he actually knew the secret to real immortality. Just that fact alone made him my number 1 Sith Lord.

We'll never know if Horde truly acquired a means of immortality since his secrets were destroyed/lost before anyone got a chance to delve into them.
DAWGZofWAR Andeddu also used mind transference. True immortality would not be that one can just cheat death but that not only can one not age and get sick but also cannot even be psychically or mentally harmed in any way or at least, if they are, the damage repairs itself very quickly.
Vitiate did know the secret to real immortality, he was just prevented from achieving it.

No, it was impossible!! That picture was photoshopped and therefore a fake!! Those weren't even close to the armor of the Old Republic troopers. I'm still can't be this Sith Lord has NEVER fought, or even seen, a Jedi during his rise of power. How can he be claimed as the most powerful Sith Lord and NOT even knew the Jedi exist. Darth Sidious is still far more powerful than this Sith Lord.

My favourite lightsaber style is when Maul used one blade to attack Qui-Gon on Tatooine, as it made his lightsaber look like a long sword with the two handed grip.
But since it’s actually a double blade I’d say Dooku’s duelling saber is my favourite lightsaber in Star Wars

I hadn't heard of Tulak Hord before this video, but I very much like his character based on this video. I would've thought the most powerful Sith Lord ever would have to be an embodiment of pure darkness, and am surprised at Hord's honourable traits with his reward of Khem Val and the loyalty he inspired among those he conquered. I'd love to see and hear more of this character and see his personality portrayed in a video game, TV series or film!!! :) :) :)

Because youre overlooking the greatest tool of the dark side. Its deceptive ability isnt only good for normies and jidai. It works on other sith as well, even supremely powerful ones. Hubris, is what Hordes downfall was.
Even after his extensive life and near omnipotent power, all his knowledge.. he fell because he believed himself supreme. He was supreme, he just didnt plan for the inevitable. None of them really do.
They take an apprentice, they teach them slowly, have them do their bidding as a slave essentially, and then are so shocked and insulted when Sith.. do what Sith do.

I studied martial arts for 51 years I am 68 years old I started when I was 9 years old even today my favored weapon was the Shaolin staff If the sword is the king of weapons the Quan Dao Is the Emporer Its a huge spear with a dragon curved blade on top So the double staff that Darth Maul uses is my choice of weapons if I were to win Your videos are fantastic supplying all the information I need on characters

I think I found my new favorite Sith. I had never heard of the legend of Tulek Horde, really interesting. It's especially interesting that he actually inspired loyalty among his troops.
My favorite lightsabers would be Anakin's/Luke's blue lightsaber or Mara Jade's lightsaber.

Great video, my favorite lightsaber had always been Darth Maul's from Phantom Menace. However, I just discovered from a different video that Ahsoka's white lightsabers came from crystals used in an inquisitor's lightsaber that she killed and healed the crystals after his defeat. That's incredible!

Very true city of wasn't much of a duelist he was more of a force-user but who master everything out of the force and let not forget during a time where you have to master everything was one of the most important things about the Sith and to the point where people loved tulak hord that is completely different from what Sidious Vader or any other Sith did it is the way of the Sith that they die by their princess is just how it is but remember to lock was killed by his Apprentice but never really killed him in a joule or anything because he was feared that much that has Apprentice could not actually beat them in a juul or by force Powers so the only way was to do is buy betrayal even Sidious Sidious would never have killed Plagueis without getting him drunk

In my opinion, the story was excellent and so were the the characters. Honestly, we need another KOTOR game. Or a single player pseudo open universe game as good as KOTOR. Star Wars gaming is literally suffering at the moment. We're in the dark times of Star Wars gaming.

No they usually used duel bladed red lightsaber before syth vs jedi i think
blazer 144 they had swords forged with dark side force alchemy, and they could etch their soul to it. So the Jedi had to invent the lightsaber to combat them, and the first lightsabers sucked because they had to be attached to batteries. So the Sith thought they were lame until later on. But still some Sith would stick with their swords.

If it is widely known then why exclude it. Once a franchise moves on from it's original creator it's pretty much just a cash cow ready to be milked anyway. Beyond that many peripheral stories have just as much creativity and merit as the original works they draw from.

I guess I've spent too much time watching "Workers doing their jobs perfectly" videos on UA-cam, but every time I hear of Tulak Hord's skill with a lightsaber, it makes me wish we had the ability to watch him spar, even just for practice, so we could see what ACTUAL mastery of lightsaber combat looks like, as opposed to something we've all seen before, like Yoda, Sideous, and Anakin's usage of lightsabers in a duel.
This is why I love sith unlimited untapped power that grows that all can challenge all out, and this man inspired loyalty among sith absolute love!

Was thinking the same thing. That title is getting watered down, fast.
If you think about it, it really depends on the context. During the Era of a lot of the sith lords people make videos about there were a lot of other siths before and after many of them, so the fact that people know about them over maybe thousand other sith is already saying they were quite powerful. But I agree with you on the use of most powerful or greatest. If they were a little more specific I think people wouldn't discredit them that much.

Never knew of hord,thanks for the info and in depth star wars history.i have to admit the the green Luke Skywalker saber from return of the Jedi ,is my personal favorite.just being introduced to a new color was something ill never forget.it changed everything!

1:35 ish around there. Khem Val his Dashade ally told Darth Nox that Tulak faced Jedi when they besieged his outpost at the the Battle of Yn and Chabosh, and singlehandedly broke through the offensive. So Tulak faced many Jedi none of them were ever able to report facing a powerful Sith Lord.
As of late that yellow saber is probably my fave because of your channel and stories of the discipline of that part of the Jedi order.
Behind Darth Revan Tulak Hord is no doubt the best.

Vinnie hill Yeah, the ranking would go somewhat like this:
1. Tulak-Hord
2. Malgus
3. Revan
(This is assuming they all *duel* against each other, instead of backstabbing, engaging in space combat, or maybe even war)
Though this ranking is only speculation, it would make some sense for Malgus to be above Revan, simply because Revan tends to be really passive in the early fight (Because he is observing) I would believe that Malgus (Being really agressive) would have already killed Revan before Revan would be able to observe and counter. Tulak-Hord on the other hans is simply just unmatchable in a duel.
Literally every Dark Lord that's buried in the Valley of the Dark Lords was more powerful than Revan.

tankanstein You do realize that Darth Sidious is the strongest Sith to ever exist right? And he lost the duel against Windu cause Windu used Sidious's call to the darkside to empower himself. The more Hord called on the darkside the stronger and faster windu would become. Literally in an interview George Lucas said Windu beat Sidious. It was Anakin's intervention that saved Sidious.
Carjos07 hord wouldn't need to call on the dark side that much he was the best duelist with a lightsaber he never lost or did you forget that part
The force is what gives the sith and jedi their lightsaber combat prowess. They use the force to predict each other's moves, to strengthen themselves, to fight off fatigue, the force is integral to lightsaber combat. I think windu would win that fight.

The first one is the original lightsabers with the cord attached to a pack on your hip. But my favorite all-time lightsaber was the first dual bladed lightsaber wielded by Exar Kun!! Who truly was the greatest Sith Lord who ever lived by the way!
