Drove M35A2’s all over West Germany. Did fine off-roading, even in the rain and snow.
Mine won't break any land speed record's but I'm glad that I bought the electric wipers and installed a heater in it while rebuilding it. But like all good things that must come to a end its going up for sale due to health problems. Kind of a shame after taking 10 years to restore it.
That sucks.
Mine did a stop speed off 45mph, before it started shaking.
Very informative thank you. You are correct about them being different from when they left to when they came back to the states. Thank you DEUCE AND GUNS!!
Do you know what type of oil filters the deuce and a half A3 takes? I cannot seem to find them
If it still has an unmodified Cat 3116 then the correct oil filter is the 1R0658 last time I checked my local NAPA has them in the store brand under FIL 1791 but verify that cross reference with them before purchase just incase something has changed.
I'd love to find one of the multi-fuel with the 3 PTO options. I've only seen 2 in the wild and both were assigned to Hospital units for running pumps and generators at the same time. I got my Military Drivers License in one of them.
Mine had a Catepiller engine, and an Allison automatic transmission.
What kind of brakes? Is it air over hydraulics or straight air?
He didn't mention what his truck had but if it's the same as a standard M35a2 or a3 then it'll be Air over hydraulic. Hope it's the a3 brakes which don't have the dangers of the a2's single circuit setup.
That's definitely a unique deuce! I'm just happy to have a deuce. It and my 50 cal are my favorite American man toys, lol. Having options to America throughout the week is a must!!
🇺🇲💪
Very interesting. Did not know there were so many variations.
I see I'm not the only one who gets bothered day and night with questions about what lubricants to use...😄
I understand why though. Half the arguments on Steel Soldiers is regarding transmission oil.
@@deuceandguns you're one up on me then. 90%+ of my viewers either never heard of steelsoldiers, or gave up on it years ago.
Steel Soldiers has it's merits though. There's definitely some sticklers on there, but for the most part, the lubrication order is pretty cut and dry. Can't beat it though for the rallies and some of the cool restoration threads. Between both of y'all and Steel Soldiers, it's helped me with everything on my deuce so far.
@@toddk1377 absolutely. Steelsoldiers is great, it just isn't the right place for everyone
I have this same exact issue with the lubricants lol
All useful information
Great video
Good info.
I'm not a small little weak guy by any means, and my deuce-and-a-half m35a 3 with air over power steering will rip your arm off as the wheel goes spinning out of control left or right if you hit a random bump or Rock Offroad. Is that normal for the m35a3?
Hey Rotella I’m available for sponsorship as well!😂
Nice video! Down to the point
Who makes a limited slip for the duece?
who made the power train for the decent A2. Mack? the upside-down rear end is classic Mack truck drives
The axles were made by Rockwell.
Great video. 👍👍
High pressure unitized injection hui pump. Yup 15w40.
But I am available for sponsorship 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looks a 5 ton to me
When my friend was in the sea bees after 911 they only used 15/40 in everything. That was in Iraq.
