The longer the travel of the jacking post, the more unstable it becomes. Adding blocks for a thicker base under the jack is more stable than a long necked jack. In theory, this kit will work and is easier to carry than a bunch of 2x8 blocks, but I'd prefer the wood blocks. Someone will get into trouble using this kit because they don't put jack stands under their work. Safety 1st.
redroofretriever: I agree if you plan on using too many extensions. But the reality is that most people should only need 1 extension. 1 extention is the equivalent of many many stacked blocks of wood.
Listening to this, I can almost hear my Grandad; He would always say "buy good design once, and it'll last you your lifetime" "don't waste money on cheap things, they will only ever disappoint" and "cheap things are the most expensive things you can buy" "good quality remains long after the price is forgotten" He would have loved these, he always had a good eye for quality tools. Great product, and looks to be worth every penny (or Cent in this case).
Great product, I've had too jack up my 5th wheel when getting new tire's, and putting the spare on. I needed too use 3 4X4's too make up the distance from the ground too the frame for the bottle jack. This is a product I will be getting, as soon as I finish typing this. You are the "Man"
I have been fretting about exactly this for a few days as I'm getting my tires replaced and plan to do some maintenance while they are off. The discount code doesn't work anymore but I figure it's worth it to be able to do the job safely. Thanks very much for the information you share!
For ~$300 per jack kit, I'll use my much safer wood blocks or better yet a bigger/taller bottle jack that doesn't require blocks. There's a reason why more people put the bottle jack on top of blocks rather than those that put a block/extension on top of the bottle jack. Maybe it has something to do with a guy named darwin; I don't know, I just know it's what I notice.
Big Truck Big RV 1.Great video 2.Awesome product. 3. Still think that a base of blocks is more stable, esp. if bolted(countersunk) together... a few 2x10 scrap pieces from site, can even screw jack to boards.
Use the power Jacks to lower the front end as far as it'll go down. Javelin welding stands are to be placed at the rear end. Then simply raise the Jacks all the way up as far as they'll go. Wow that only took about 4 minutes. Javelin welding stands are made in Alberta Canada. Rated for 4500 lbs per stand
is this the model? SMALL PIPE STAND C/W V4 HEAD RANGE 16”-30” How much storage space would they take up to cary on road trips? suggested price? Thanks.
Gary Speer they come in a 6 inch by 6 inch box small ones I think are just over a foot high and the and the medium box is 24 in Long. Simply lift up on the red handle and they collapse on themselves I use mine all the time. Super easy way to change a tire as well. Or do suspension work. They have a special thread on them that allows you to lift thousands of pounds with a 3 inch handle
Great fun, excellent presentation. I probably wouldn't have found this without your channel. I want to buy a kit AND that industrial strength floor plate. I plan to use it for changing a single axle trailer tire and perhaps even an SUV tire!! Thanks for the video instructions.
On my 5th. Wheel on the door side the dumbasses at Open Range ran the gas pipe along the frame so I have no how to jack it up......Ever have a bottle jack kick out and almost hit you, I have and I learned quickly you have a large stable base.
To me, their RENNSTAND seems to be better and safer, and it works with floor and bottle jacks! Us RVers surely need something to hold the tires off ground, not just for flats, but for set up long term and storage to keep weight off tires! Did y'all see the thingamabobs Mr. Truck TV reviewed? Set them up under axles, pull forward or back up a bit, and the trailer rests on those thingamabobs®. I need something!! I'll research these things a bit more, but the Mr. Truck reviewed things look like a better solution. Only problem with those is you have to crawl under the trailer to set them up... come on inventers, we are waiting...
Based on your review of the Safe Jack I ordered a 12 ton rescue kit with the extra 8" extension. I have used it twice, but not to lift the trailer. This just demonstrates the benefits of having this kit. Thank you for your review and bringing this our attention.
Bill Valdez: You must be looking at full kits. If you simple get the parts you need vs the entire kit, the cost is far less. You can get the parts you need for probably less than $100
that is awesome, I need the sulastic springs and these. Let's get a buyer incentive on your channel for both. I am sure they would sell alot. thank for the content and useful items.
This is a nice solution, but I agree with others in using wood blocks under the bottle jack to reduce the length of extension. Not to be picky, but extension is with an "s" not a "t". I like those cradles though, to sit right on top of the bottle jack. I would use another wood block on top of the flat cradle. Also, I am a big proponent of multi-taskers, where this is a uni-tasker. I don't like having to carry my entire shop with me in the way of tools. Wood blocks have so many uses, and if in a pinch, you can always toss a few in the fire pit. I carry a small assortment of wood blocks with me at all times, and all with a 45 degree cut angle on one side. Can use them for wheel chocks and many other uses. I always carry a pair of 5 ton bottle jacks with me in my Ram Boxes. Thanks for anther great video. Phil
I was thinking of using a thick piece of steel I beam or channel to lift all 3 axles at the same time, then put blocks under to to replicate the idea behind those plastic trailer legs I saw sold on Amazon, the ones that get your tires off the ground
I have a Walker 5 ton bottle jack that’s over 60 years old and still dependable. I have not found a bottle jack that will last, including the one that came with my one ton Ford pickup. Where is the hydraulic jack manufactured?
Have you ever used X-Chock Wheel Stabilizers. I'm new to this travel trailer stuff. So new I haven't even purchased one yet. So I'm learning here. I want to pull one sometime in future and getting as much knowledge as i can on proper truck and trailer info I can find. So thanks for all your knowledge with all the videos. Big fan. Appreciate you, Mr. Truck (kent), TFL and all the guys putting out good info. Thank!!!!!
great jack!! I've been throwing the idea around to permantly install 4 scissor jacks on my rv. 2 of them close to the wheels. It would give rv extra stability. But could I use them to jack the wheels off the ground?
What do you think for lifting a boat trailer for a flat. Looks like it would work great and would be easier then a small regular jack. Great videi.....
Do you have the road master shock and slipper shackle on your rv?(at 3:41) If so how is it working for you? I'm interested in it. Just bought a 27' toy hauler.(newbie) Thanks for any in put
that is awesome!!! I have bottle jacks in my 5th Wheel Toy Hauler in case of a tire blowout or any issues. but I've been wondering how well that will work. I was wondering.... I have six point hydraulic landing gear will that work for tire changes thanks for the awesome videos kitten coming. thanks for the awesome videos
Michael Kremer My uncle used the landing gear when he had a blowout and the hydraulic hose ruptured. The sudden release of pressure caused that corner of the rig to fall. No injuries thankfully. The tech that came out for the tire replacement said the landing jacks weren't actually rated to keep the vehicle suspended off the ground. just food for thought.
Bigtruck- is this one in video the 6,12,or 20 ton bottle jack please ? I have a 17 raptor 15,500 weight dry TH.. I'm only wanting to lift one side for emergency tire changes but never both sides of trailer. Thanks mike
Adding these extensions to the bottle jack looks way too shaky for my liking. I certainly wouldn't trust it! I much prefer using wood cribbing for a much safer base to support my jack!
If my rig is 14,500 lbs, do I need jack stands that EACH can do 12-ton capacity? Or can I get jack stands with 6-ton capacity? E.g. does EACH jack need to be rated above total weight? Thanks!
Yeah that might be a good idea for trailers with the live axle that goes all the way across but what about us guys that have independent suspension on our trailers I have a 44 footer that I have installed the more ride independent suspension

Not weird at all!!! I’m excited to find such an AWESOME & SAFE solution!!! Thank you for taking the time to share this info with us❣️

Killer2600: You don't need the full kit, just a spacer and cradle. $30-40

Jeff Burton: If you feel comfortable with that technique, I would still use the Frame cradle they have, which can slide onto most bottle jacks.
Killer2600: just get this: safejacks.com/collections/bottle-jack-accessories/products/axle-tube-pad-for-bottle-jack
Big Truck Big RV Agreed
That is one hell of a system! Thanks

God bless you! No one else has a video explaining how to jack up an RV to replace a tire safely. I love learning from you.
On my 5th. Wheel on the door side the dumbasses at Open Range ran the gas pipe along the frame so I have no how to jack it up......Ever have a bottle jack kick out and almost hit you, I have and I learned quickly you have a large stable base.
Great recommendation; got mine this past week. Adding the high lift jack base layer too!
Looks like a great product and I would be interested in seeing how the base makes up for an uneven ground

+Tony Aguiar: outstanding! Happy that you like it. Same here also, I have used it several times for truck projects but not for the RV yet.
Thanks for the video. I also like doing my own work. Looks like quite the way to raise and lower the RV.
The equipment must be made of gold judging by their prices.

Could you list the part numbers for these products?
American made quality life saving tools cost money.
High lift floor jack would work great too.
Can we lift it from the axles when changing a tire or blocking it up from all four axle ends by the U-bolt area if we need to remove all four wheels?
Very helpful thank you thank you 🙏🏼
That looks like a great way to change a flat

have you ever used "Trailer Legs"?
Wish you would've show how it would look with the bigger base plate installed. Great video though.
What do you think about trailer legs?

NonRev: X Chocks are supposed to be a great product! If its a fifth wheel you should also look at JT Strong Arms
Great video this is a great product.
Great information. Looks a good product to have
great jack!! I've been throwing the idea around to permantly install 4 scissor jacks on my rv. 2 of them close to the wheels. It would give rv extra stability. But could I use them to jack the wheels off the ground?
The problem with scissor jacks, is that they won't lift the trailer high enough to safely & comfortably work under the chassis.
What do you think for lifting a boat trailer for a flat. Looks like it would work great and would be easier then a small regular jack. Great videi.....
james desilva: I thin it would be a great solution. May not need the entire kit, just buy the spacers and cradles you think you might need.
Thanks another great video on a cool product.
Once I get my boat looks like Ill need to install the Timbrens and pick up the Jack kit....
Do you have the road master shock and slipper shackle on your rv?(at 3:41) If so how is it working for you? I'm interested in it. Just bought a 27' toy hauler.(newbie) Thanks for any in put

just found this video.... Do you still suggest this or is there a newer and better jack system?
Where is a video demonstration of using this product?

+rcmike38: I ordered the 6 ton versions. At no point should anywhere near 12k lbs be over 1 jack.
thanks so much for making this video
god bless
Looks like a great system. I would love it but way too poor for it. I guess it’s good that I don’t do any traveling. Maybe in another lifetime.
interesting product.
Adding these extensions to the bottle jack looks way too shaky for my liking. I certainly wouldn't trust it! I much prefer using wood cribbing for a much safer base to support my jack!

2- 8 ton. As long as your trailer is not loaded to over 16000 total lbs
An awesome product.
Great info.
Yeah that might be a good idea for trailers with the live axle that goes all the way across but what about us guys that have independent suspension on our trailers I have a 44 footer that I have installed the more ride independent suspension
Another Great Video ... Thanks 😆😆😆
It's called height, not heighth.
Time for you to do an update and a how to video...
BTW like your videos.
+Bill Valdez: thanks!
You never jacked up a trailer. Just sold a jack. What is your problem. Couldn't do it?
The creator of this video is no longer with us. His travel trailer fell on top of him using this jack system. R.I.P.
Love your videos and I hate to nick pick but, there is no such word as "height-th". Just sayin'.
Height.
You're sure it's not "height"? 😆
Omg drives me nuts!
Total overkill.
I would prefer to be safe than sorry … but that’s just me❣️
