As someone who works for another airline, the aviation community is disheartened by this tragedy from the bottom to the top. A lot of people don't know this but although airlines compete in business, they greatly support each other behind the scenes when emergencies/tragedies occurs. Condolences to the families of the loved ones lost.
Now that all the safety and security departments are being defunded, we should all be scared... Only a week ago the administration defunded airline safety departments. It's so sad and not a surprise that this happened.
