geniunley nice guy, more than capable drummer who has played with them throughout amd is also fortunate to have a car collection that most people would love to possess.
I'll bet none of have watched Nick Mason race the Nuremburg Ring in classics. most of us are lucky to get through life with one passion, but few of us have the smarts to carry on through life with many. good on Nick, and it is a joy to watch and hear. inspiration. but damn, I have to say, the pompei series was the best, in particular "one of these days"
The breakup probably hurt Nick the most. David can play guitar and sing, so he was fine. Richard could record some keyboard stuff and end up fine, and Roger Waters was a songwriter, a bass player, and I believe a little bit of guitar, so he was pretty much set as well.
I just one photo shot, it doesn’t get better than a Ferrari 250GTO, Mac F1 GTR, a proper F1 Ferrari, it does if your Nick Mason another photo shot Ferrari F40, vintage Bugatti, plane and Helicopter + many gold discs from a Stella music career. 👍😎
so nice to see he had his Mclaren painted, it looks so good now, not that it was that bad before , just like it solid red. what a lucky man you are to have seen all of these supper cars. thanks for this nice video
I thought the picture of the ferrari f1 car with the 250gto and the mclaren f1 in the background was kinda funny. a casual 80 million dollars worth of cars sitting in the background. not to mention the bugatti
+TheJagjr4450 it also has 250GTO as the licence plate. In England you only have 1 version of any plate issues an Nick reckoned this was worth considerable money also..
Ahaaa that's why the Pink Floyd CD's remain so expensive.... :) What, are these 6,7,8 ? hangars all filled with the Mason collection ? Or is that just the part that he couldn't stash any longer in the 24 garages around his 6th mansion ? Maybe I also should start thinking about making a satirical song about money...
Probably someone who doesn't know Nick and think that he's just some kind of filthy rich billionaire who inherit gold from their ancestor... Well, Nick once admitted (in Google Musician Talk) they came from middle class but not filthy rich. It's their musical genius & talent's.
When the Justin Bieber's, rappers, and other young "stars" / wannaB socialites of the world are seen in their latest "whip", it is usually borrowed, a rental, or a very short term lease. For people with class, like Nick Mason, it isn't a status symbol, it is a passion for the machine, and a love for driving. My grandmother has a '72 365 GTB-4 with less than 12k miles in her old garage that belonged to my grandfather. They had numerous Porsches (that they autocrossed) and Ferraris over the years, including Car and Driver cover cars, that their closest friends didn't even know about?
yeah, nick had a great story on this one.... apparently a week or so earlier on Jaques was driving the car at the Goodwood Festival of speed. also pretty chocked up at the prospect of driving his dads famous car. also not there was an andretti car there and that mcclaren was swapped with ron dennis for a mcclaren that nick had and he wanted. bit like swapping sports cards in the playground only more expensive!
@gr8deadfan75 - wise words.... jaguar is clearly some kind of mixed up foll. Whereas i agree with Nick was fantastic and even came to the local pub for a pint and chat afterwards. as a lifeling fan of Floyd and Cars - this was a great day all round....i suspect Jaguar was a little `jealous of either me or Nick or maybe both
Everyone , is so knowledgeable about every bit of all -AND HE's there with all the cars . I Love it the music . Yeah .. I think he made his way -good on that man . NICK MASON for President . no I don't think so ; But . It could be worse . The Roger Waters institute. I would join or sweep the garage floor or change strings on his guitar- guess I may be wearing the inside out .
Pink Floyd told me to turn my back on material possessions, only take enough money to eat and keep a roof over my head, not to be greedy, and give away anything I didn't need, I fought they were doing the same, seems like I misunderstood the message, doh !
Let me ask the Brits a question... Of you lot drive right hand drive cars, why does the Mclaren F1 with the wheel in the middle have the shifter on the right side? The correct side... Lol. Serious question tho!
most race cars (that aren't paddle shift type) have the gear stick/shift on the right. We Brits are quite adept at using the shifter on either the left or right. Very few people drive autos, most learn how to use a gear stick and clutch at a very early age. They then travel the world and swap sides of the car and road depending on the rules... really not an issue. Where should the gear stick be on the Mclaren? in the middle?
miloaudus If your used to having it on the left as you would in a right handed car, why wouldn't they have put it on the left like a normal British made car? Because it's better on the right which was my point. You understand what I'm saying? The car was built in the UK where right hand cars have shifters on the left yet they put it on the right. Just thought that was interesting. It seems to me maybe they did that because as you say, it doesnt bother you guys where it is and it wouldn't bother me, though I would prefer it on the right side. Maybe they figured it would appeal more to Americans. Anyway ✌
As I said.. most open wheel cars have the gear shift on the right.. for some reason that is the way it is.. fortunately those that other to race are capable of shifting left or right handed and it's not a problem either way
@jaguar2 What garbage. Nick Mason released one album in the 80's that was poorly received, so it's not like he could launch a world tour himself if he wanted to. Not sure if you're aware, but drummer's solo albums aren't exactly high sellers! Nor are drummers the one to decide if Pink Floyd regroups and tours. Nick does what he does and enjoys his hobby. Everyone I have heard from that has met Nick says that he is as gracious, humble and down to earth as one can be.
he told me a story about how he swapped it with Ron Dennis for something he had. I think he said the 250GTO with the 250GTO was the most expensive thing there.
As much as I like Floyd, Nick Mason is the antithesis of the rest of the band, all he does is show his multimillion dollar hobby instead of doing what Gilmour and Waters do, which is great music. We all know they are filthy rich, but with Mason is always about cars and more cars. Why doesn't the other members show their exorbitant life style? Not even the deceased R. Wright was like this. Could that be the reason he is not invited to play with the other members?
Everyone , is so knowledgeable about every bit of all -AND HE's there with all the cars . I Love it the music . Yeah .. I think he made his way -good on that man . NICK MASON for President . no I don't think so ; But . It could be worse . The Roger Waters institute. I would join or sweep the garage floor or change strings on his guitar- guess I may be wearing the inside out .
We both own a Ferrari 312 T3, mine is 3 inches long and came with an attractive display case!
As Einstein once said, ‘It’s all relative.’ Cheers.
OH DAMN! MAY I HAVE A RIDE IN IT MATE?
I love Pink Floyd, I love cars and I love drums. Really enjoy this 9 mins. Thank you.
Leno and Mason have such good collections.
Some rock stars do drugs.....Nick does cars......respect.
Both
He did both 💀
geniunley nice guy, more than capable drummer who has played with them throughout amd is also fortunate to have a car collection that most people would love to possess.
The drummer from Pink Floyd
The absolute legend, just sit back and hit some toms
Conserving excellent cars for future lucky kids:D
A great conservator of beautiful cars, great, example of the English culture for beautiful cars.👍👏🎖️
I'm glad that I helped contribute to his collection. Just waiting patiently for the invitation to arrive in the mail , or e-mail.
Have a cigar.
Best band, great car collection, big money lucky 👍👍👍
Very nice collection, my favorite is the "birdcage" Maserati. Awesome racer.
felt so provalidged to have a look round these and have hi talk through various stories relating to the cars and how/why he aquired them
The breakup probably hurt Nick the most. David can play guitar and sing, so he was fine. Richard could record some keyboard stuff and end up fine, and Roger Waters was a songwriter, a bass player, and I believe a little bit of guitar, so he was pretty much set as well.
band break ups always hurt the drummer the most :(
magnifique collection
Creme de la Chrome...
Finest cars. 😎💥💥💥💥💥👊

Supper cars? more like lunch car's really.
I can´t believe that Gilles car could be owned by an individual!! Envyyyy!!
Ничего не понимаю в авто. Но, дизайн, как и музыка - на космическом уровне!
Welcome to the Machines...
Did anyone ever get pictures of Gilmours aircraft collection?
A Man of taste
Maserati Birdcage = my ultimate racing machine.
I thought the picture of the ferrari f1 car with the 250gto and the mclaren f1 in the background was kinda funny. a casual 80 million dollars worth of cars sitting in the background. not to mention the bugatti
I liked the red one☺
That's really as good as it gets tbh.
Impressive collection, no doubt!
Impressive? Owning one Ferrari is impressive. This us a damn museum.
@Uking9394 thanks... still feel lucky getting the chance. big floyd fan myself, and also a fan of nice cars..
you still a fan?
@@khoralis6458 of course... such a great back catalogue of songs
Some of the most valuable and desirable cars on the planet... the 250 GTO is without doubt the most valuable car there... around 50 million now...
+TheJagjr4450 it also has 250GTO as the licence plate. In England you only have 1 version of any plate issues an Nick reckoned this was worth considerable money also..

Seriously. Who took the time to watch this and hit the dislike?
+D. Batt ..7 stupid people..lol hope you enjoyed it
+miloaudus Yup, thanks for sharing.

Pink floyd e ferrari di miti indiscussi
Car petrolhead for sure, remind me to come back as a drummer in my second life lol
Gilmore sounds so good on this
Fantastic.
I am in love.
Amazing.
I am in awe!
250 GTO $50M. McLaren F1 $20M Ferrari Enzo $4M. This dude has well over $100M in cars…not even factoring him into the price. Amazing….
plus the 250GTO licence plate is probably worth the same as the car
@gr8deadfan75 Nick seems like one of the coolest guys in Pink Floyd personality wise.
if i remember right he swapped this with a car that Ron Dennis wanted of his.... bit different to sticker swapping in playground...
I think Nick originally owned one of the Mclaren F1 prototype cars. Is that the 1 Ron wanted.
It's just like the song says "Money it's a gas".
Jeez, Nick invested pretty wisely here. That mclaren is worth about £20million for starters!:)
He swapped it with Ron Dennis years ago apparently .. he let me start it up .. no free drive though
Did the swap to get it .. not part company obvs
One can never have too many formula 1,auto's laying about
He made a lot more money from his cars than he ever did with Pink Floyd.

Congrats on the GTB4 !!! I WOULD LOVE TO BRING HER SOME BROWNIES!!! WHAT WAS THAT ADDRESS AGAIN?? 😂😂😂🚘🚘🚘🍺🍺🍺
Nowhere in that do you see the crown jewel that 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO in #22 livery worth 43 million
John Workman.. this was done a while a go... he may have one now...not sure..
yeah, nick had a great story on this one....

Mick Fleetwood blew £6 million up his nose ,,ended up broke ,,should've looked after his money and brought some classic,s ,,🤔
NIENTE INVIDIA X IL MITICO PINK FLOYD 💋💋💋

Why number 22 on the Ferrari?
might help if you told us what we were looking at
cars
phew - and I thought it was doggy porn for a moment 😁@@miloaudus
no wonder he was chosen to get an enzo, he own just about every other ferrari ever made
Pink Floyd told me to turn my back on material possessions, only take enough money to eat and keep a roof over my head, not to be greedy, and give away anything I didn't need, I fought they were doing the same, seems like I misunderstood the message, doh !
I thought that he owned the rare Ferrari 206 SP?
Tell me where he lives. We could talk about Fiat 500s and get a ride in that 250 GTO.
All that from drumming??? He ain't no Neil Peart!!!
moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
To think the bank would not give him a loan to buy a house.
I thought his GTR LM was orange?
Mikhail Man Daytona was yellow and all the rest were Red I think
He got a RED McLaren F1 road car?😅
swapped it with Ron Dennis (or so he told me)

A small majority of humanity is right-handed; all else being equal (as a center-wheel car is) it makes sense to put the gear shift on the right.
Where was his helicopter?
He flew in it to meet us .

Maclaren F1 worth 25 / 30 million maybe more
he told me a story about how he swapped it with Ron Dennis for something he had. I think he said the 250GTO with the 250GTO was the most expensive thing there.
That F40 is worth 2+ million from the late 80's
F1 GTR worth 25 million
that GTO would fetch 60 million plus
He who dies with the most toys..........
He isn’t dead
He who dies with the most toys is just as dead as the poorest of the poor.
(And yes, I know Mr. Mason is not dead.)
Of all the versions of Money, over all the years, why pick probably the worst one!

nothing there to write home about
lol
Man, where did this guy get all his money
Some small rock band a while back called PINK FLOYD !! maybe you heard of them .
Comedic wealth doesn't impress. Useless as cars you can't drive.
Tutte auto utilitarie 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
stupid habits off rock stars ! cars ! useless ! or usefull how do you say it in english ! old habits and old stars !
very poorly presented montage. thumbs down
Come on this is 10 years old 😂
all i had was a camera and to be fair spent much more time sat in the cars and talking with nick that worrying about youtube comments
That drummer sounds terrible !
the only level headed one of them who doesn't think hes god
