Heartbreaking to see this form of 'covenant theology' coming from good men from Apologia Studious. Absolutely love 90% of their videos which is saturated with God's word.
But sadly this one isn't. It's more saturated with sin. When David, being declared king by God and a Jew, having a full right to kill Saul, didn't dare harm him even when he was in the wrong because He was God's annointed, how much more so you?

This is why I love Pastor MacArthur, for he too has 90% of videos that I love and even in this he is a 'dispesationalist'.
I learnt this just this October after researching why so many Christians are coming to a wrong conclusion after reading the Bible. I didn't know what it's called.

So what was the Lord doing on the road to Damascus when He stopped Saul dead in his tracks? Was Saul not constantly rejecting the Lord? God still saves Sauls. And God will still save the nation of Israel and one day they will turn to the Lord just as Paul did.

It is indeed clear that most of us (if not all), rejected Jesus at some point in our lives as we were naturally in enmity with God. So a better summary would then be: "nobody is a chosen person apart from faith in The Lord Jesus Christ as Savior."
Now, I say "partially" corrected because the pervasive reference to "the nation of Israel" in modern evangelical circles rests on its connection with the flesh, which runs, as shown in the video, contrary to what Jesus and Paul clearly taught in Matthew 3:9 and Romans 2:27-29, 9:3-5. If Paul believed they could be saved notwithstanding their continual rejection till the time of their death, it would not make sense for him to wish to be "cursed for the sake of his brothers, [his] own flesh and blood". Therefore, there is absolutely no salvation granted to anyone, carnal Jew nor gentile, outside of the acceptance of the atoning sacrifice of our Savior on the cross for our sins.

@@dallastester822, I did read it (looks like your passion is getting the better of you predicting what you cannot possibly know by saying I wouldn't), but you don't seem to realize your quarrel is not with me, but rather with Jesus and Paul, and fail to realize the implications of your apparent understanding of that passage, which clearly introduces the basis for God's choice: the new covenant.
If you equate that passage with the salvation of the souls of ALL individual members of the fleshly Israel, you believe that: either Paul had not read it, or that there is salvation outside of faith in Jesus, or both.
We all rejected Christ up to the point where we repented and turned to him in faith. A Remnant of Israel will be saved.
This is so encouraging to hear. I'm the son of a Palestinian and a born again believer. I've struggled often with the notion of blind support for the supposed "chosen people." Apart from Christ all people share the same destiny and need for a savior. Just as all life is sacred.

Hi, I guess it would be hard to accept it from me, because I’m a jew myself, and a believer, but I think something very important is missing… Israel is the chosen nation! Not because they are perfect, nor because they are special, but because that is the first and the biggest proof of God’s sovereignty and that He chooses differently, not like men would!
We have many examples of that, and by reading the Old Testament you can clearly see that although Israel has disappointed God and sinned against Him, God never let them go, but by punishing and teaching them He was walking them in a certain path.
Paul says that their blindness is for a reason - for the mercy to come to the gentiles, but the Gospel that went from Israel would eventually come back to Israel!
I think that this thinking would just lead us to a self centred life, when we don’t see God’s plan even on those who don’t confess yet His Son as their Saviour!
Look at all the nations, everyone of them had a certain period of massive conversation to God! Look at the US, with so much believers! I don’t say they all are perfect, but they believe in the Son of God!
There never been such a thing in Israel. Never was something like that. But actually the opposite, as you can see the antisemitism along the history.
So let me assure you - if a revival didn’t happen , it probably didn’t come yet!

You are misinterpreting this scripture.
Jeremiah 31 speaks to the unconditional and continuous love that the LORD has for Israel. Even Psalm 125:2 (As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever), shows God's position on Israel is forever.

This is an interesting discussion. Make sure to keep reading through Romans, it does appear in Chap 11, the Apostle Paul warns gentiles not to boast God is turned from Israel and we must remain humble in our position in Christ.

The Biblical precedent for Israel, has always been that God brings them back into their land, in unbelief. The return to the land came FIRST and the conviction, repentance and obedience to the law came AFTER See below:
The decree of Cyrus to allow the Jews to return to the land (c. 539 BC) and subsequent return and rebuilding of the Temple under Zerubbabel takes place about NINETY YEARS before Nehemiah arrives to rebuild the wall (c. 445 BC) It is close to this date that we follow Nehemiah 1-7 in all the struggles of that reconstruction project, but not until Nehemiah 8:1-9 do we see Ezra read the Law to the people and they WEEP BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT BEEN FOLLOWING IT. Nehemiah 8:17 says they HAVE NOT OBEYED in keeping the feast since the days of Joshua! (c. 1400 BC)
In chapter 9 the people confess their sins and list the sins of their nation ending with themselves in verse 36 and following:
" we are servants this day... because of our sins... we make a covenant" At the end of Chapter 9 they make a covenant with God and in chpt 10 (see verse 29) they seal a covenant ""an oath to walk in God's law."
NOTICE THE CHRONOLOGY!! These people have been returned to the land for +/- 90 years and are ONLY NOW READING THE LAW and recognizing that they haven't been following God's law, obeying Him, keeping the feasts, etc. BUT THEY ARE IN THE LAND AND SUCCESSFULLY REBUILDING!
False. The biblical pattern is that God brings them back into the land while in unbelief.
The true Israelites were scattered amongst the nations, are "forbidden" to return to their land of inheritance AND, according to Deuteronomy 28 were taken as slaves, and shipped into another land to be SOLD as slaves.

I wish they had kept reading in Romans until they got to chapter 11 where Paul asks the question, "I say then, has God cast away His people? God forbid!" God himself calls Israel "His people" in Romans 11:1-2. This does not mean that all "His people" are saved, but only that He has chosen them for a specific purpose as discussed in Romans 9. Chapter 11 explains that although Israel is rejecting Christ right now, eventually all Israel will be saved (v.26-27) but right now they are enemies of the gospel (v.28).

Judah when against the lord many a time and god punished them for it. However he never said they were no longer his chosen people, in my opinion the Jews are still gods chosen people and the persecution they have gone through through the years has been a “punishment” for them going against the lord. We are made part of Israel through repentance and babtism. We join the family of gods chosen and Israel is the prodigal son in that family. Someday they will come back to the lord, I can’t say when or how but I believe they will. Thank you for doing this video, I have always wondered why a group of people who are so rude to other people could be the chosen. I worked as a CNA for a jewish nursing home, the abuse myself and others received from the residents was horrible. I was spit on, called names, and sexually assaulted. Whenever I would have to do a patient transfer, they would take it as an opportunity to touch me in my private areas. One time this Rabbi was being extremely inappropriate as I was changing him, I told him to stop and his wife ( who was in the room as he was aggressively grabbing my private areas) yelled at me and told me she will get me fired and I will never work in another nursing home in NJ. I reported it to my higher ups ( also jewish) … I was transferred to the psych unit the next night and I quit a few weeks later. They show no signs of being Gods chosen people whatsoever.

I'm literally in Israel right now offering aid to the Jewish people. No one has spat on me and lots of Jewish peoples mindset is being radically changed by seeing Christians coming to their aid while so much Jew hatred is spreading across the globe. If you want the Jewish people to come to Messiah it might be time to get your hands dirty and with some humility serve the Jewish people with love and repair the relationship. Can I just say, as a premilenialist who loves your ministry, you guys consistently misrepresent the vast majority of Christians who hold this view. It is actually painful to hear because I love you guys. No futurist that I know personally, or that I listen to, thinks that Israel is Gods chosen people in the sense of SALVATION. All we try and address is the fact that God made very clear and very obvious promises to an ethnic group of people about the fate of their descendants, and the land God would give them. You accuse us of hermeneutical gymnastics, when you are the ones with the burden of proof to demonstrate that somehow God never meant the dozens of promises he made to Israel in the plain sense that they are read in. Your conversations make it sound like you’ve never listened to a single solid Bible believing premilenialist present this view before. You look at the fringe minority and make large sweeping blanket statements. Sorry if you were disillusioned by dooms day prepper Christians once upon a time, but could you maybe invite someone on your show who can actually properly represent what you’re talking about?

Isn't it hypocritical to never read what Jesus says in John 8, 42 through 48 ? The truth is always the truth.
Remember guys, almost the entire OT the Jews were turning their backs on the Lord and his prophets, killing his prophets, bowing to idols (essentially an OT but much worse version of spitting on Christians, so thats a weak argument). [35] Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar- the Lord of hosts is his name: [36] “If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the Lord, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”
Saying if the sun, moon, stars, waves in the ocean depart, than Israel will depart from Him as a nation. Those things are still here. Then quoted from Romans 10:21 right out of Isahiah
[21] But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

Reading Romans 11:1-10 we see that even at this time, there is a small remnant that is chosen through grace.
Until finally Zech 12:10 can come true:

They finally look on God, the one who they pierced! (Great verse to use to witness to Jews as well, asking "When was God pierced by you??").
