This one is one of my favourite MCU movies, it feels like more of a spy thriller than a superhero movie, and it feels more real, it's darker than most other marvel movies.
A couple of the members of his Howling Commandos (his personal team from the first movie) were seen speaking French, one of them definitely being French. I'm sure he picked up from them as well along the way.
Another great small detail about this movie: The trust Fury shows in Steve. Even though he assigned Agent 13 to protect him, it was more of a "just look after him. He's in a new world. Keep him safe. Keep him sane." I reckon amongst All the Avengers, Steve is the one he trusts the most, even if he is on the threat list. Gahhh, so many cool details and parallels in this movie.
Not just the best marvel movie, but one of the best action movies ever made. It's dang near perfect. Strong message, emotionally fulfilling, and you actually get to *see* the action.
@ThePharaz Yes it's the same element, but Black Panther's suit has Wakanda tech, made by Shuri. The shield was made by S.H.I.E.L.D... Big difference. Even BP's suit has purple energy that shows what you're talking about. I've never seen purple energy coming off of Cap's shield, or any energy coming off of the shield... Tell me where you've seen ANY hint of energy coming from the shield. I've seen these movies dozens of times, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna find it... And Marvel makes sure that you know what's going on, especially with 'powers'. You'll see different colors for different kinds of magic, etc. I hate to brake it to you, but the shield is just that, a shield. A strong shield for sure, but like Ultron said, "The most versatile substances on the planet, & they made a frisbee." 🤔
100% agreed with u mate. People think that shield is a tech or something but they forget that it is just a thing which can either be used as a mean of destruction or for the good sake of others. Only Steve can handle that shield with that much perfection not because he's a supersoldier but more than that, a good man who has a strong will of never giving up.
@michaelconnor1542 Nope... The shield absorbs vibrations, hence the name Vibranium. But absorbing other kinds of energy and sending waves of whatever you're talking about ?! NO... Just an idea in your head-cannon, sorry. The only absorbing & redirecting of energy is by Cpt Marvel, the girl from WandaVision, & Ms Marvel. Until we get the X-Men, that's it. If you want to believe in... whatever, have at it. But unless you can show me a scene where they actually say what you're talking about, which doesn't exist, I'm gonna stick with what I know. Which is quite a lot after 52 years. So, you can make shit up in your head all you want, I'm over this stupid argument. Ugh... I'm done. 😵💫

Still in my top two marvel films, Iron man and Winter Soldier are just solid films. Also gave some depth to Cap who I was always bored of in the comics back in the day.

5:02 Jasper Sitwell has actually been in several MCU projects (including a fun short film you missed called Item 47 which really made me attached to his character) before this film which actually made his traitorous reveal shocking to me at least. 5:23 No he wasn't. Super Soldiers aren't nearly as common as you seem to think they are. Georges Batroc is just really good at a martial arts style focused on kicks hence his supervillain name Batroc the Leaper. Steve might be superhuman but he's still human. Any regular person can give him somewhat of a challenge provided they have a high enough mastery over their fighting skill set. 20:20 About that. Coulson being dead might not be as conclusive as you think. Safe to say you guys aren't watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but it's Coulson's spinoff series. He's front and center of all the marketing so it's not spoiling something you wouldn't have figured out queuing up the first episode but how he's still alive was one of the show's big mysteries. 22:15 Keep waiting. That isn't happening. They're more like siblings the way they look out for each other. And you know by now that Natasha has a thing for Banner while Steve is interested in the Carter women. 24:28 And there it is. The shocking revelation from Civil War was actually first revealed here. I think most audiences were so caught up with the HYDRA reveal they missed the other important detail that the Winter Soldier killed Tony's parents.
This has been one of my favorite non team up marvel films ever. Everything felt a bit more real than the other movies. The maid being shot was like OH 😮 well ok then 🤷🏾♂️😂

Couple of fun facts: Malekith leader of the dark elves was played by Christopher Eccleston aka Doctor Who which i really don't remember ever see play a good guy in a movie. Also the actor for Fandral of the warriors three was replaced by Zachary Levi from the Chuck series, and the DC Shazam movies.
4:22, the first time I saw this I thought they would eventually have Cap say "Well how about you?". But Cap (and the other Avengers) view Nat as their snarky little sister. Fun fact there is an animated Avenger film in which the children of the Avengers take on their parents mantle. Steve and Natasha were a couple and their son avenges their murders.
You may remember the bald Shield/ Hydra agent that they kicked off the roof from The Walking Dead. He was the Atlanta hospital cop that Rick hit with the police car.
I remember this movie being when Marvel, like, realllly took off with me. The smithonian display was recreated for a MCU travelling exhibition. I got to see it in Brisbane, Australia. They even used Lt Dan's (Gary Sinise) voice recording.
It is funny because she says unless Fury's car transforms he looks like he is done for. I am not sure if she noticed that there was a flight option for his SUV that showed up on his center console, but it said it wasn't functioning. So his truck COULD have transformed and flown away if it was in good condition.
It is such a bummer that Natasha had absolutely zero love interest before she died. I think Cap would have been a way cuter story than one scene with Peggy in an end game which was amazing but it would have been way more fun to have Natasha have a lover. Especially if it was uptight prudish Captain America. I think the Banner and Natasha love storyline was cute for a scene or two but the fact that they literally did nothing with it is why I th think Cap and her made way more sense.
This movie made me think about profiling. If you are a perfectly innocent person driving a certain kind of car through a certain neighborhood at a certain time, should you be pulled over and searched? Can we ever upbe sure enough to not violate peoples rights? We can't round and eliminate potential threats.

I don't know if you will watch the Agents of SHIELD show, but what was cool was just after this movie came out the very next episode of Agents of SHIELD had our heroes on the run as some agents were revealed as Hydra operatives including some significant members of the cast. I won't get any more specific to avoid SPOILERS in case you do watch the show. It was fantastic how it just all blended together.

I am loving this series of videos! This is (still) my favorite Marvel movie. A perfect comic to film depiction of Cap, and as a reader of the Winter Soldier comic, I was over the moon with how well the adaptation turned out.
not only about the not free because of neutralizing preemptive threat, but my first reaction seeing all that "stuff" was my god, all the resources that go into all that machinery.
I saw Hayley Atwell in a play, Rosmersholm by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. She was fantastic and beautiful from Row C of the stalls. But they had the air conditioning up full and it was freezing - I joked later they wanted us to feel like we really were in Norway. Hayley was up there giving a speech when a woman a couple of seats down from me decided she was too cold and proceeded to tunnel her way into not one but two huge jumpers. It was quite the kerfuffle. Hayley stopped mid-speech and waited, aiming down a very Agent Peggy Carter stare until the woman was settled. As I was so close it was almost as if she was staring at *me*. I still get a little shiver when I see that perfect face . . . You should watch the Agent Carter series. It's only 18 episodes, cut down cruelly before its time. This is one film I don't know so well, so it's good to get this reminder. EDIT: Completely forgotten about Emily VanCamp, almost as beautiful as Hayley. Those Carters have the gene, don't they?
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Bro, it's just my opinion, lol. It was extremely well done and doesn't get enough credit. But again, just my opinion. If you don't agree, you don't agree. 👍

But it will happen someday.
19:18 My dad and I are currently 3 episodes from the end of season 6 Of walking dead. So I wasn't looking at the TV when you said this line and I heard, "What Negan said." It doesn't help that I've been watching your videos of walking dead as well. Lol
This is in my top 5 marvel movies.
If you didnt catch it, Fury's tombstone has a quote on it, & those words were from a line in Pulp Fiction, a line that Samuel L Jackson said in Pulp Fiction.
I REALLY hope you guys have seen THAT movie!
If not... WATCH THAT SHIT ASAP! It's one of the best movies ever made! 🤘😁
Also Rob and Trin if u want to know about Peggy's journey, then you guys should watch her series "Agent Carter", its 2 seasons, and it's amazing.
Been watching you for a bit here randomly on stuff I like. But getting to the end of this video, realizing it wasn’t gonna be the full movie, being crushed I’d have to wait a week to see the second half, and then seeing you did part 2 the same day… earned my subscription. Thank you sir
It’s all Hydra.
Another fun fact: Batroc actor is a (or was i dont really know, not interested in this tbf) ufc fighter.
Let's go!
Finally
I guess it's good they're further along on Patreon, otherwise they wouldn't know yet about Sharon being a Carter after all
Best Marvel movie, right here!
Agreed!
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Bro, it's just my opinion, lol. It was extremely well done and doesn't get enough credit. But again, just my opinion. If you don't agree, you don't agree. 👍
