Hey hansol, does fire mages still have the 2set bonus which increases the cast time/crit chance of your fireball by 15%, stackable 3 times or is it removed with something new? If it isnt removed, wouldnt it be better to play with Flare Up since you'll use scorch to position for a setup and then'll have the increased fireball cast time anyway?
IMO it would be smart to use atleast one pheonix flames to keep the cd going, but I agree with hansol using fire blast first since it has a lot shorter cd and is a lot better for setups since u can use it midcast + off gcd

I decided I'd try out fire since I was frost while leveling. This helped me a lot, & now I'm part of a HUGE guild that does raids a lot. Increased my damaged by 10% lol
Hey Hansol! Great video =) Just to point out, so you dont get confused. You dont get 100% crit chance with Combustion, you get a 100% increase crit chance stat. So if you have let's say 35% chance to crit, you get 70% chance! Which is basically crits every pyro anyway! Anyway - just thought I should tell you =) have a great day!

Hansol, do you think it is stupid to have a stopcasting macro on your pyroblast ? because you can with a mistake loading a fireball, spamming on the pyroblast buttom, cancel the fireball, and then you have less burst, if you understand. I would apreciate a answer and what are you doing ? what are your macros for those situations ?
Not to like be that "know it all" guy but some of the mechanics changed with pyro, flamestrike, and ignite and I feel it's important enough to actually address it in a vid because they are subtle changes but not too subtle to not talk ab them. Just a suggestion - awesome vid!

I mained frost since the pom pyro stopped being a thing like 8 years ago. I might try fire this xpac but I have to say all those instant cast and crits look so op that im afraid it might get nerfed to the ground after some time into legion.
Love my fire mage, but at iLvl 710 I am still extremely weak, I can't kill one monster during a quest without having to eat afterwards, and the damage I am sending out isn't really enough to make up for the lack of defense. I hope it gets better as I level up
Want to really know how to fire burst Hansol? Try the following order in exact order fireball combustion(when fire ball is mid flight) fireblast pyroblast fireblast pyroblast flame on, fireblast pyroblast fireblast pyroblast meteor phoenix flames Essentially you get to make your 4 fireblasts cause 4 free insta pyroblasts.. throw some extra burst at end with meteor and some phoenix flames

I reccomend you to make some guides that fires can play togheter, like spicychicken (wich will be rly strong in legion)... Somehow to show up why your viewers should play fire at all and learn how to use their char as a support, when to dmg, when to cross cc for teamates on arena. THAT WILL BE REALLY COOL! Could you do something like that? I don't see how its clunky, phoenix flames is an instant cast mini pyro that always crits. I think of it like have 3 more charges of fire blast that has splash damage.
The artifact spell works differently. With Inferno Blast you could keep casting your fireball with the Heating Up and just Inferno after the cast and it would give you the free Pyro Blast. Phoenix Flames has a longer travel time so it will hit after the fireball if used in the same way as Inferno Blast.
Stefan After playing a little bit of pvp Scorch seems to be a very unreliable hot streak finisher. With our crit at around 40% because of pvp template you more often than not just lose your hot streak.The spell seems a little bit useless at this point. It doesn't slow either anymore so we can't even use it to create some distance between us and current mongo melee. Either our mobility and survivability has to be buffed or (leather) melee has to be nerfed.
Hansol, you should try to level your mage up on the Beta so you can plan out your Artifact talent pathing. It'll take at least 6 months or so to farm all the Artifact Power necessary to fill out your entire artifact. Make a video on it and let us know what you think would be the most optimal path choices for PVP so we can turn arenas and battlegrounds into a violent conflagration of crimson splendor.

it didnt get nerfed?....
It did, dragon's breath got it's cc reduced from 5 to 3 seconds, and fireball went from %150 down to %75 damage. (Both changes only for pvp)

So outside of combustion, if you got a heating up buff and had no fire blast charges, you'd stopcast and hit them with a phoenix? Looks mad clunky.

Will Scorch still be a reliable hot streak fisher or should you really only be using it while moving/waiting for phoenix/flame blasts?
yeah if ur waiting and u have to move if not use fireball, or just cast scorch in between ur quick fireballs
since its cast time is much faster and it can be casted while moving it will be your main pyro fishing ability in pvp when you are under pressure.

Should also mention the chance to reduce the cd on Phoenix flame by 5 sec
