Here are several key takeaways, that I found from this episode: 1. Set impossible goals 2. Be innovative so that you could achieve the impossible 3. Be prepared before deadlines as to not overstress/overwork yourself 4. Nothing is impossible unless it's not achievable as a human being On another note, it's a great podcast for the younger generations who have yet to get out of their comfort zones to strive to be a better person. I see potential and maybe there'll be improvements in the upcoming episodes. Hope to see more episodes like this in the future!🙌🙌
Congratulations, Dato' Seri Idris & Leon! Dato'o' Seri Idris Jala, I am very touched and impressed by your statement, "My son, Leon, and I have just started a podcast series, The Game of Impossible." This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, different from the many feats and achievements in your careers and other prominent leadership positions. This father-son series looks simple but is like catching a fish in the open ocean. I can only say congratulations; well done, and keep it up. You have conquered the world, but this one will be your authenticity and life success in your legacy journal for your generations to emulate. I am writing because it resonates with my "Making Parents Proud" program rather than seeking roller-coaster happiness. Success cannot guarantee the happiness we want, but creating a high benchmark to force the mind to innovate is akin to chasing after the tiger. Well done, Datuk Seri! Keep it up, Datuk Seri Idris Jala! Hong Khay Chai (A friend of Datuk Chris Tan)
DSIJ is one of the most positive minded persons I have ever met in my whole life. Congratulations on this podcast launching. I have subscribed. Looking forward to watch its exciting contents.
This Podcast is a MUST WATCH! Had the privilege of working for and with DSIJ, and I can say the lessons and insights he has shared has positively influenced me more than anyone else in my adult life. Eagerly waiting next week's podcast since Leon is "pregnant" with doing this podcast weekly. 😂
Great debut podcast. Congratulations Leon & DSIJ. To think my family used to live in the same govt flat block as DSIJ's family in Miri in the 80s. Humble beginnings. Still remember seeing his late father.
So happy to have found a fellow Bornean. Being a pastor and doing God's work is highly commendable, respectable and you gain your parishioners trust. Keep up the good work.
As fellow Dayak Borneon myself, I was glad they're Dayak people out there successful in global level achievement in the corporate sector. Idris is an exception and the answer of the sceptical and pessimistic cultural mindset of native Borneo that we are as Dayak is difficult and cannot be successful in the modern world. Idris Jala proves that we are also capable at the global level. Hopefully they are more entrepreneurial fighters among Dayak and create our own supply chain and influences in the business world.
Glad you’re making the GOI so easily available to the public at-large. And in a very interesting and entertaining way with Leon, too. I was so fortunate to practice from Idris his rules of the Game of the Impossible during our time in government, myself in Sarawak. One of the many examples was the landmark success in the survey of native customary lands for Sarawak natives, once thought as a forbidden subject. It’s unbelievable but it’s a fact - after 10 years, about 1 million hectares have been surveyed.
First and most important very high-quality video! I always love listening to your stories. I wish that Malaysian are able to step up their game to " conquer the fear of failure" as failure is an essential part of the innovation process. Celebrate your successes no matter how small and use them as fuel to drive further innovation. Strike out the spoon feeding culture! All the best to you and Ngan on promoting positive aging a.k.a Geriatric Movement 101. ...Ris
A truly insightful podcast!. I love every word of wisdom offered in this session. I learned so much from this episode. I look forward to listening and learning more from future episodes. Congratulations Leon and Dato' Sri Idris Jala!
Can't thank you enough for this great podcast DSIJ and Leon. It's indeed a huge blessing to be able to learn priceless inspirational tips and insights through this simple yet professional father-son conversation with the most kind intention of inspiring others toward success. An exemplary family indeed. Looking forward to the upcoming series. God bless both of you and your family always.

It is a wonderful podcast that is inspiring and full of practical tips. I wish DSIJ a most enjoyable and fruitful sabbatical, and to Leon, a successful interim chairman role.
Hi Idris. Yusuf here. I dont usually watch podcasts and if I do, it will usually not be for more than 10 minutes. But I watched you and Leon right to the end. And that means that I was really enjoying it. Looking forward to watching future editions, and to your book. If its not too much trouble, please send me a link for all subsequent episodes.
Great sharing! I could really relate to you when it comes to organizing events. Unfortunately, when the visibility is quite high, there're always those who think they know better and ask for more things :-) Very inspiring tips for the Game of the Impossible.
Hi D.S Idris & Leon, I have a question on the matter of time. I also subscribe to the thought of "being on time is late", however, I often find myself frustrated waiting for others, do you face the same frustrations and how do you deal with it?
There is one serious historical mistake that the speaker make. Singapore is not kicked out of Malaysia . It was a secret negotiation of separation without the knowledge and consent of the people of Sabah and Sarawak . In fact it was the betrayal of Malaysian Malaysia by Lee Kuan Yew, the one who created the Grand Design of Malaysia and came to sweet talk Sabah amd Sarawak to form the federation for Singapore own self interest. This Historical untruth must be corrected . Many Malaysians never knew the truth because the secret files were never opened to the public for scrutiny.
