Honestly, this is one of the most underrated films I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.
Are you on Meth?! This is one of Ben affleck's worst movies ever! The screenplay was terrible, the directing was god-awful, and the editing sucked. He got the movie because he's handsome and he was a hot ticket at the time. Otherwise the storyline and the logistics are atrocious. You need some help.
Would have been very interesting if they had kept going with the classic Ryan style (not like the newer stuff), and Ben had been given a chance to age into the role.

Underrated movie honestly, it has aged really well politically even if unintended (the book actually had Arabs as the bad guys I think?). The pacing is also great, Ben Affleck is alright in the role and the movie has a 90s feel to it which I really like. It's definitely the most underrated Jack Ryan movie at least.

This whole movie is just an endless series of establishing shots. They don't even attempt to tell a story. "Here's a helicopter landing outside Baltimore. Is it important? Who knows, because 3 minutes later: Here are some CIA cars racing through the wood of Virginia. Is it important? Who knows, because 3 minutes later: Here's a nuclear bomb going off. Should we care about this? Well who knows, because 3 MINUTES LATER . . . . ." This is film-making for the ADD generation.

@@SimpleManGuitars1973 It bugged me to the point where about half-way through this movie, I started fast-forwarding and I actually missed the part where the nuke goes off. (I wasn't skimming very fast, either) I had to rewind and search for it. It turns out that the central threat of this entire movie . . . a nuclear bomb going off (and its aftermath) . . . took up about 5 minutes of the movie. It's just unbelievable.

Later Jack Ryan will be played by Harrison Ford in two movies , Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. and also Alec Baldwin in Hunt For Red OCtober. in 2014 they did a sort of reboot with Chris Pine , called Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit about him working his way into the CIA,

The first half was good..the second half was frustrating..it could had been edge of the seat thriller but not Ryan could have communicated that he is one who altered and Abot saved the president..people would have atleast given a chance and listened to him...and the climax was satisfying when all the terrorists meet their fate..

Tom Clancy had so many printed copies of his books that you just need to walk into a used book store and buy it for $1. At least that's what I've done for all of his books. $1 is basically free ;)

The part when the nuclear blast happens was pretty good, but i think they coulda made it more graphic! I think they shoulda shown the massive crater where the football stadium used to be. I wanna see the absolute horror of a nuke vaporizing a city. There wasn't a whole lot of crying in the aftermath of the nuclear detonation. This movie coulda been so much better!
Jack Ryan's girlfriend in this movie was Tom Brady's first girlfriend. He left her to be with Gisele. He regressed!! Bridget Moynahan was absolutely beautiful back then, and she still is pretty hot in her older years. I never liked Gisele, and do not see 'supermodel' in her. She is not as pretty as Bridget. Just sayin...
I used to LIKE👍Giselle and she is a Supermodel! One of the best catwalks ever but I there is something about her aura that I DISLIKE👎and she appears mean.
