I prefer Oregon over Utah or Nevada, the Coast is beautiful, I’d rather have rain over snow. As the saying goes that you don’t have to shovel rain, Oregon has lots of outdoor stuff, this video is not entirely accurate.
Oregon is also ran by insane liberals
If it wasn't full of crazy and violent fanatic people i'd give it a visit
Yep and less rain than washington and less traffic than seattle. Not as hot and expensive as Cal either. PDX airport ranked one of the best in the country!
Great video Nick! Like your ranking system. 👍🏻 Can you do a video for “which states have the most missing people or which states you are most likely to go missing?” (Missing 411, it’s actually a really interesting topic) and “which states are you more likely to encounter Bigfoot?” 🙀 🦶😵

Pennsylvanian here. I just came back from an Arizona and Utah trip. I gotta say, Utah really impressed me with its beauty, friendly people, and outdoor opportunities. It just moved up to number one for western states I'd move to.
Nice!
I know I'm late to the conversation but I'm trying to get out of Utah. The wages are abysmally low and housing is so high its unreal. It's turning into California fast. Traffic is awful and you can't afford to do anything. It's it pretty? Sure, but the joke is that they pay us in sunsets. And unemployment is only low because everyone needs 2 jobs to survive. It's really sad. I grew up here and I'm being priced out by everyone moving here.

Nobody is allowed to move to Wyoming. We're full up. No vacancy.
Im from Las Vegas and I highly agree Nevada is one of the worst out west. Dont move here. However, my dream is moving to San Francisco. Think with me; im gay and an immigrant and I need to go where I feel safe and free and thats the place for me, even tho cost of living is high, I know I will be safe. I need to go somewhere where people are open minded. Utah can be the best state out here but its too conservative to me. Same with Idaho and Wyoming.
las vegas is open minded... just avoid the strip since that is all tourism...

I can’t stand when people use the phrase “out West” - it’s biased to think that west is further out. East is also “out” in another direction
I agree but it’s a historical phrase that stuck around. When the white people got here they all lived on the east coast so moving away was generally going west. It’s antiquated and doesn’t need to be said anymore.

People in Colorado are very strange.
Why cause we aren’t 600 pounds?
Utah has its priorities out of whack a lot of the time but the quality of life and amenities for the cost of living is un-fucking-beatable.
Colorado sucks. Lived here for years, unless you want to go live in the mountains there’s really no point in moving here. Can’t wait to leave.
Which city?
Truth. Most people live in the Front Range, which is way too expensive for being an overgrown suburb with almost zero culture. Like you said, the only way living in Colorado is worth it is if you can live in the mountains, which I don't. Hopefully moving out in February.
All that said, Colorado is the only state I would live in the West other than California.
Rachel_Rebel_Makeup Right outside Denver. It has all the negatives of a “big city”, but doesn’t offer many positives usually associated with “big cities”

how stressed you are in Seattle/WEST Coast depends souly upon how much money you make, as the more money you make, the exponially its easier to completely AVOID everything stressful - - - so although it may seem like OR/WA should be higher on the list, As far as here in the Emerald city, if you make above 50K and make use of your time, or simply take advantage of any/all free social resources its quite easy to live a pretty relaxed comfortable peaceful life almost just about anywhere in the PNW.

I was going to buy a house in Montecito(santa barbara) until I found out that there would be a good chance that my house would either be covered in mud, from a massive mud slide, or burnt to a crisp from a brush fire episode...lol....That is when I said, "Virginia, you look better and better by the day"...lol...Of course california is the worst....lol...I mean, d*mn when you have high regulations, highest taxes in the nation, allowing people to steal up to $900 in grand store theft, without the court giving them a felony or receiving jail time, on top of all the homelessness, & raising the price of gas tax without public voting, so yes, I would say that it's 'predictable' that California "SHOULD" be the worst; perhaps with the exception of Hawaii...lol...
As of 7/2022 average house in Montecito is $6,000,000.00
@@robinscottmarsh846 in the overall scheme of things, it's not worth living in Santa Barbara and I know that Oprah Winfrey partially regrets spending all that money to buy all that land and build that house 'add-on' to her land, when her FIRST intuition was to buy land, right here, in the great state of Virginia and build any size house she wanted for at least 50% LESS of what it cost her to do the same thing in California.
I enjoy your videos and I was wondering if you have done one on the best cities to live in the south?
I guess Oregon, California, and Washington have different standards for crime than the rest.
Sw Washington is real bad for hard drugs
Property crime is super high, especially in the cities (which comes with a high homeless/ poverty problem)and a understaffed police department), but Violent crime isn't as huge as it is in other states.
