I think the chair cushion has covered up the most unique part of that gorgeous chair... maybe try removing it? ❤❤
I love all your videos, the longer the better
Thank you Gina! I'll try and do lots of long videos in the future
@@DesertDIYI agree with Gina
Me too!
On the chair, take the cushion off the seat.
Me too. I am a new subscriber. Enjoyed all your projects!!
Definately longer video. I'd watch you every day if possible. 😊
Wow thank you so much!
I love the blue with the white headboard ❤❤ Cory don’t worry about what anyone says. It was falling apart and you gave it life❤❤❤
Thank you Paula!
Girl, I would never second guess your paint or decor choices because, honestly, I just love your vision for these much loved pieces..
Thank God you are all safe. Beautiful projects and flips
Thank you so much!
I prefer the longer videos. Your videos are so well done and practical. Thank you for your content- I have been watching for years when you mainly did furniture in Arizona, but I love these thrift flips even more.
Wow thank you so much! That makes me so happy to know that
I second that! 😁🥰🥳
Love the little nightstand but antiquing wax would make it sublime
I think so
I prefer videos less than 30 minutes but I will watch yours no matter what. Love your ideas.
I definitely prefer the longer videos. I'm always excited when you post a new one. Your flips are so unique and creative. ❤❤
So happy you survived Beryl with minimum damage. Up here in the Tyler area we had lots of rain and some wind. Loved your video today! It was so nice to follow your shopping at the Goodwill bins. You got some awesome decor items. Be safe and stay cool. 🤗
I agree, the longer the better. Thanks for asking. Also, I would take the pad off of the chair so they can see the beautiful cane work.
Thank you Maxine. That's a good point
Corey, I’m 70 but do remember nursing 101- let the alcohol sit 30-60 seconds to be most affective.😅You rock sister. Elizabeth
There you go! Thank you
I would keep the wreath hanger. It's so versatile you could change the wreath at any time for any season
I definitely prefer longer videos with many projects rather than short videos with few projects.
Do the triple drawer bedside unit to match the blue. Keep the blue lamps and mirrors. Very attractive with the bed head. Put the cute chair in the modern Monet room with a Monet inspired cushion cover. The happy yellow painting will be perfect in the modern Monet room. You find great stuff. The child’s bench would be a lovely plant riser.
Thank you for letting us know about how you weathered the storm. You definitely were surrounded by “whomping willows”! Glad you are all safe and have just clean-up rather than major damage or flooding. Since this is just the beginning of the hurricane season it may be a good idea (if you can budget it in) to have a trusted arborist remove those branches and check for any other damaged ones that may come down in the next storms and have them removed. My parents did that since we have tornadoes pass through our area and our trees have fared so much better in consequent high windstorms. It was worth the investment for peace of mind and house protection. The trick is always in the budget. Looking forward to seeing you again under sunny skies ❤
Thank you Heather. We are going to get a quote to remove 10 trees from our property in hopes that it will prevent anything happening in future storms that might be worse. Might have to take out a loan to do it but it's better than them destroying our home and not having a place to live for months waiting for insurance
@@DesertDIY absolutely 🥰
❤ I think dark wax would make it even prettier. The blue cabinet turned out great! All of the projects did!!
I think you're right
I agree!
That little table would be gorgeous with dark wax on it!
For your guest bedroom, I would paint the second dresser blue, keep the blue lamps, but get one or two pretty books in the color of your choice, besides blue, to put under each lamp. That would give you a distinction between the blue lamp and the blue nightstand that you need. I love all of your videos.
First, I am glad you and your family are safe. Living in FL, I know what these hurricanes can do! I would keep the mirrored tray and the sunflower picture for your room. Just an idea: I think because the nightstand came out so fabulous, I would pain the other nightstand the same! I love having two different night tables and then have matching lamps. You did a great job finding all of those items, and I cannot wait to see your next trash to treasure! Have a great day!
Well I am no help😂 because I totally think you should keep that bench it looks so cute for fall decor. The pumpkins totally transform the wreath ❤ the table cloth is absolutely gorgeous
Thank you Heather!
Cory I am so thankful that you & your family are safe🙏🌈💖 Will be praying for everyone affected by the storm.
I love your videos & can’t wait for them to be posted. LONG videos are awesome!
You are a blessing to us🙏🌷 Thank you for all you share with us sweetheart!
That little pew bench would make a wonderful addition at the foot of the bed in a childs room.❤
Loved everything you did today. I especially like the nightstand , it’s inspired me to do something with mine. Years ago when my husband and I downsized ,we thrifted two dressers, two nightstands and a headboard. I painted all of them Swiss coffee. The walls are a pretty light blue so painting the nightstands blue would look good. I like both long and short videos of yours
I love pretty much everything you do so I would want to keep it all for myself.
Corey I am almost 73(October the5th) and you do rock girl! Keep doing what you’re doing and I agree the longer videos the better!
Ido like the longer ones. I broke this one up and made it a treat for doing a chore. Thank you terrific projects
I agree! The longer the better! I love watching your videos and get so excited when I see a new one!
So glad you and your family are doing ok after the hurricane! Thanks goodness for generators! I appreciate the long video with all of the good thrifting and flipping. Take care and good luck with cleanup!
I think the Christmas tree is for Christmas, the only thing I would use for fall in the items is maybe the pine cone.
Loved the wreath hanging frame! Gorgeous!
The painting sitting on the "easel", very cute. 😊
Young lady....you have TONS of talent!
Long or short makes my day! Just fyi love your black pants and shirt at the beginning of the video! You look so cute!
Champnes and heirloom are two very beautiful colors. Heirloom is one of my very favorite
I'll look up heirloom!
@@DesertDIY it is by Fusion
Light and faucet are beautiful! And the curtain rod is perfect! Awesome! BLESSINGS!!!
The pinecone can be both Fall and Christmas. Love it.
I didn’t realize you were in Houston. My bestie lives in Conroe. They lost a couple of trees and a portion of their fence from their back yard, but are safe and their house wasn’t damaged, so that’s a really good thing! I really glad you are all okay!
Years ago on HGTV I saw a person who worked on furniture using a table they made by starting with a circular card table, adding a turntable, and adding another circular piece of wood on top. It enabled them to work without having to squat down or keep turning the furniture piece manually. I think something like that could help save your back in the long run. I love your videos and how you transform things so beautifully! Barb in Cali
Thank you Barb!
On your night stand, definitely add black wax or antique glaze. Also might do lightly distress wear areas. I’m not crazy about the pull hardware but you do you. Nice job. 😊
Thank you! What pull would you have chosen
I am so glad ya'll are ok. Thank you for video of how things look. All your diys are beautiful. I love your shopping at the bins. It's so much fun seeing you dig. 😅 Take care and hope you get things back to normal. 😊
I just love everything you do, wonderful inspiration ❤
I loved everything you got my favorite was the Daisy picture you showed at the end.
You are by far my favorite DIYer, you are amazing and such great vision. Keep it up. Glad you guys survived any serious damage from Byerl.
You did such a great job on all of your flips. Your talent keeps multiplying. I loved this video, so many cute things. If that little kids bench doesn't sell maybe paint it the same blue color that you painted those dressers last month. You hit the jackpot at the Good Will bins for sure!!
Glad you paint ALL of the piece!! Sooo many people go the “easy way out” and it shows.
I try!
Happy you came through the storm with minimal damage. You did fantastic getting stuff at the bins. I really loved it all. I especially liked that you put that little painting on an easel. You could even decorate with a couple paint brushes, etc.
That's a great idea. Thank you
Glad you survived with little damage from the storm...Your items are beautiful. Keep bring the ideas.
Love everything, you have great bins! So glad you all are safe.
Yes longer videos are the best
I love the blue nightstand. ❤
God bless 🙏
Hello from England 🏴 🇬🇧 😀, love your channel and my friends and I have named you ghe queen of thrift flipping ❤️
How cool!!!! I am so honored. Thank you
@@DonnaW25 you are so right ! 🥰🇨🇦
Loving this long video!!!! Omg what a great haul at the GW bins!!!! I love your guest room….wouldn’t change a thing!!!! Loved everything!!!!❤❤❤❤
Thankful you and your family made it good through the hurricane
I love the longer videos too. Wow, you did have a lot of crazy weather. I hope nothing was messed up too badly. Loved all your beautiful creations.
Thank you Mary
I looking at this video today, July 11th and I'm glad you and your family are doing well. God is faithful and He will continue to protect you. Look forward to seeing you return when you can.
Thank you!!!
So so so glad your family is safe ❤ definitely keep that last picture for your Monet room. Love ALL your videos short or long and your continued gratitude and humbleness. God bless
I love the way your little night stand turned out and I love the color. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤️❤️❤️
I like the bench within the tablecloth. It is such a beautiful pattern that I think it should shine on a table.
I'm so glad you are doing well, considering the devastation in Houston. I hope you have electricity. Thanks for your videos!
Enjoy watching your thrift flips and makeovers. So glad you’re ok after the hurricane, we live in Michigan & got the tail end of that storm, no wind just lots of rain.
I think my favorite part of the show today is when you put the painting that didn't have a frame in the picture holder thingy. I love the idea :)))))
I am so glad you liked that!
Also....I loved the white vase and your faux flower arrangement, only wish the arrangement sat up higher so the beautiful design on the vase was visible.
I do love the pods, kinda sentimental.
My Dads funeral was beautiful and rustic, like him The spray was that I got him had a few of those mixed with pheasant feathers and twigs (and greenery). I still display them in vases in my home and get compliments on them. I don’t know what they are called or where they come from. Anyway thank you for all of the beautiful projects that you share with us out here. 💕
Everything is lovely! I wish you had videos more often than once a week. Love watching you transform things. So happy you all are ok
I'm so glad you guys are okay. You are so creative. Be safe out there!🩷
Cory I have had you in my prayers all week! We are all so grad that The hurricanes power decreased from what it was when it was in the golf! Thank God! Even here in Ohio, we received two days of rain and 3 inches of rain just because of that hurricane. Unbelievable that it can affect so much weather so far and wide. Praise God that you and your family are fine amen.
Thank you so much Cheryl I really appreciate that. I'm amazed it traveled that far
I absolutely love the yellow flower painting with white and gold frame. Now if I can only find one like that lol...All the best with the clean up.
Thank you! Wasn't it so cute!
I would paint the original nightstand blue to match the new one and then paint the lamp bases white for some contrast with blue shades. If you could find blue and white Chinoiserie fabric to cover the shades or make throw pillows for the bed, that would look good too.❤
I would use the pinecone year round! I love it!❤
❤❤❤ glad you and your family are all safe and sound.
I absolutely love the french inspired nightstand that you restored and love the mirrors with the blue lamps, but I was thinking that maybe the white nightstand would look pretty painted blue as well. You do such beautiful work and I love watching your show! Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas!! ❤️ Debbie Clark.
Girl your little pants with the beaded trim! ❤❤❤ No matter your content or length you are TOP NOTCH!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Lori! Those are my new favorite pants
Cory what good finds and great transformation Really enjoying your videos 💕
I'm just really impressed you could paint without a drop cloth. ❤ I would have paint all over my kitchen floor.
Oh my goodness sweetie I’m so glad that you were safe ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
The antique fabric on the bench looked great draped on its own. Adding the busy pumpkin wreath gilded the Lily!
It is not meant to be the only way to decorate, just some ideas for things everyone can do with thrifted items. I can understand if it was too busy for you
Always looking forward to your videos. Everything is so beautiful.
The little dresser is so stunning! Love the color! I would definitely use this as a nightstand!❤️❤️ I would use the little bench on a porch, it is beautiful! The mirror/tray is so amazing! Love the elegant rame with wreath! I would definitely keep it! The riser is fantastic! Loved the stunning chair, I don’t think covering the center weaving is definitely a huge mistake! I absolutely love the bright Daisy picture!💛🩵💚🩷💜
I saw a mirror technique for antique mirrors that had the reflective coating peeling or qorn off. You sand off some of the back coating in random wear patches, then decoupage your old paper or tissue paper to the back. That way it peeks through the mirror. It's Very Cool looking. That mirror tray would be perfect to try that technique on!! It hides the glass imperfections. And it's easier to dust/ clean than regular decoupage.
Beautiful projects and flips, and Thank god you are safe. Hugs 😍
Love your long videos. Love watching
I love the tablecloth and the wreath on the little bench. Thank you for removing those creepy bug motel things - I hate those!!
Thank you! Yes they're the worst!
I love the longer videos showing lots of creative projects. Thank you!
The blue nightstand is really pretty. I like it the way it is, but think the antiquing might add interest… maybe?
I prefer longer videos, but really, whatever works for you is what I like.
I’m so happy that you and your family fared well in the hurricane. ❤
Love the style of painting this cabinet. Gorgeous. Your dog is so sweet. You definitely have a decorating eye.
Thank you Mary
The pine cone in this video can most definitely be used for fall/ winter! I think natural pine cones overall can be used any time of year as a nature element. I have a bunch in an old wood bucket sitting on the fronch porch under a barnwood bench. I wld like to turn all these pine cones into a wreath at some point but have no idea where to begin with that.
Happy you survived the hurricane so well, even with the cleanup.
Great haul! You always do an awesome job on your makeovers, Cory. Thank God that y’all are safe ❤️🙏🏽
Super grateful that you have minimal damage from Beryl! Great flips 💗
Me too!! Thank you
It is such a sweet piece. I think I would have white waxed it a bit but I do love it❤ I would paint the white night stand to match the blue one to blend it in if you keep the look
Great idea!!
I’ve been watching your videos for quite awhile & I’ve learned a lot from you! I really like your furniture flips.i think the side tables look beautiful-perfect for the look you’re going for!!!
I just noticed how white my German shepherds muzzle has become .. she is 7,now.. my husky is 11.. made me cry, because we never have them long enough..thankfully, both are very healthy, and don’t seem to be slowing down, and now, I’m really paying attention..
I like the blue cabinet but I "think" I would have went with white handle, knob and hinges. What a FANTASTIC haul and great projects that you've completed. Love it all.
Good choice! Thank you!
I love longer videos, I'm in the middle of redoing my bedroom. I can't fully decorate due to ill health but I keep grabbing stuff from eBay and I keep running out of ideas. That blue bedside table was amazing I love how that came out, it has given me ideas for my bedside table.
The longer the better! I love every flip you do!!❤
I don't think it matters if they are longer or shorter. The people who love both will watch both and the people who want to pick and choose can pick and choose. I don't wish a hurricane on anyone but I would love for some of us to have some rain lol.
That's a good point. Being a desert native, I always love rain too haha.
@@DesertDIY I'm in Eastern Tennessee and it's been so hot and humid and dry lol. We had like 10 seconds worth of rain drops yesterday but I'm ready for the fall weather.
I think the pinecones are transitional. They can be either fall or Christmas decor depending use and staging or both if not permanently attached to something. Love the side table. I think you should add just a touch of the gold to the details to bring in the hardware color, imo. Love watching when I have a chance. ❤
More is always better. If a video is longer than the free time I have then I just revisit. Ty!!!
Cory you never fail to amaze me with your creativity!
I would add a tiny bit of gold brush on to the little nightstand raised pieces in the middle of the door. There’s a metal handle up above and a metal pull on the door. Just seems like a little hint of gold or brass on the raised wooden pieces would cause the eye to follow three highlights instead of two. Love your voice and your happy attitude.
Thank you! That's a great idea
I love the chair!!!
Talking about the pine cone.. it’s all depending on how you present it. As in for fall using fall colors but at Christmas time…well the possibilities are endless ❤️❤️
True! Maybe I can use it for both
Hey !!!! You of so many wonderful ideas. I would add gold to everything cameoed in your blue monet nightstand!!! Dark grey pops of color!!!! You are amazing!!!! You and your hubby are beautiful!!!!!
