I loved it all! Especially the tray with the vintage art and the tray with the plate (pinks) in the center. ❤ First time I've heard of Frida, and I'm 68!
I love Frida she's my fave! Every single item I make with her on it sells! I've done jewelery boxes, flower pots, ornaments, kitchen spoons, pocket posies etc. I have the same napkins. I also love the terrarium. 😍
The Frida tray was spot on, as well as all the other projects! I'm having a hard time deciding which was my favorite. Every project was put together with items that look like they were made for each other. Those kind of projects make my heart happy when that happens for me.
Thank you! I have a blog that I started years ago and it was initially about scrapbooking, but then transitioned to repurposing and junking, so the name still fit, but my hubby would just say I'm under a pile crap. LOL
I love the way you use vintage dishes. They're beautiful. That's a great way to enjoy them and they're functional. So creative. The terrarium is gorgeous. Freda may not be my style but what a creative way to transform the tray.
You really have a knack for putting these things together. Different styles, etc. You are really good at this. I personally wouldn't have a place for Frida but it's adorable. The thing about art is you never know where it will fit until you put it there!
Lady!, You have once again outdone yourself!!! After each project I would declare that’s my favorite. 😅 Love them all. You have such a great eye for pairing pieces together. TFS. 😊😍 ♥️Frida♥️
Love your terrarium, the way you married the artwork and plate to the trays, the risers, and the Frida Kahlo tray makeover. Well, I guess that's everything you did!
Every project is beautiful!! Thank U 4 sharing! U’ve given me sooo many ideas!! I just hope I can make them look as gorgeous as yours! I’m sooo happy I found U!!
Great homage to Freda! I loved watching you play around with matching up bases with dishes and bowls. It is interesting to see how we put things together. I would have it a little different on some but they turned out great!
Thank you and yes this comment is what I love! I love that you would have used different bases based on watching me pick out what I used, I love it! Thank you so much for sharing and for watching!
Sharon, these projects are just wonderful. Love them all, but I am a plant person, so the terrarium is my very favorite. Love the color, love the nature aspect of it, and love how you put it together! Thanks for sharing your ideas and talent for grouping items together. It’s always a treat to find a new video from you. Happy 4th!
Just out of curiosity, do you pronounce your name "Tanya", "Tonya" or with the "J" sound, meaning "Tan-ja"? The reason I'm asking is because my name is spelled the same way, but it's pronounced "Tonya", which isn't very common 😊
HOLY OF HOLY SILVER ETCHED work! $1.60 doesn’t even have to be pure silver. That thing is absolutely amazing. I’m telling you no thrift store selling that thing for that price anymore. That is phenomenal. I haven’t even seen what you’ve done with it yet and I just had it come and make a comment how beautiful and exciting that tray IS!
Girl you outdid yourself with these projects! I loved them all and wouldn't change a thing about any of them! You have given me so many ideas! Thank you!!! :-)
Awesome Video. I love thrifting, crafting, shopping, plants and yarn. Always looking for new ideas for my thrift finds. These projects have inspired me ❤ Thank you
Hi Sharon, my favorite is the Frida tray. It's so colorful and striking, much like Frida herself. I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it in the comments, but Frida was a native of Mexico and was married to Diego Rivera, another famous Mexican painter. I love your channel, Sharon. Please keep it up.
Oh my gosh!! That book of swatches just changed my life !❤ all my paints are in a box & its a pain to go thru them to see if i have the color i have in mind ❤❤❤ Btw i LOVE your creativity and originality ❤❤❤ cant wait to watch all your other videos
Awe, thank you so much! Yes I use to have swatches on wood rounds, spoons etc. and it was too hard to take all of them to compare to my project so that is where the book came in. Again, thank you for the wonderful comment!
I love all of your work. You have given me so many ideas and different ways to get the look I want. I have a beautiful tray that's huge. I don't know the age of it. My mom inherited it along with other beautiful treasures. It's black with roses and other flowers on it in the center. It's very ornate, so lots of curves and other raised designs that would be beautiful with the wax rub. Thanks so much. I've had the tray in my building since my mama passed away 34 years ago. Just didn't know what to do with it until I watched some of your videos.
F.....My my my, Girl, you are fantabulous! I loved the tray with the green edges and vintage artwork in the middle. The terrarium was a very cool looking piece. I loved all your pretty bowles and plates, I want to start collecting them. I really thought the tray with the plate in the middle was so pretty. Would be gorgeous as a wall piece. The Freda piece of course was awesome with your creative paint techniques. Some splash of bright color is always nice now and then. Good for the soul 😊
The Frida Kahlo piece would look very chic with a wide satiny ribbon for the handles. Just my suggestion. Frida always reminds me of a gypsy. This is the first video of yours I have watched and I easily became your fan and subscribed. I will binge on your work. 🎉 😅 ❤
Trays are one of my fave things to redo! I get a set of 5 very large unfinished wooden nesting trays on Amazon from anywhere from $14-20 depending on the day 🤪 the largest one is like 10"x16" so they are ALL great sizes and my fave thing to do is paint them, distress them, then use roycycled paper or transfers... You did a beautiful job on ALL of these and you're so dang creative!
Thank you for all the fun ideas! I feel inspired to play around with my own pile of random things now. Your explanations and reasons behind the choices of products are very helpful. Your Frieda project is very 😊cool, but she was actually a Mexican artist.
I ‘collect’ tarnished silver and I would never think of painting on of theses treasures but I’m reconsidering after seeing the beautiful tray and pictures combo you created-so beautiful, made my heart sing! I subscribed after that project 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much. Yes, I collect and keep the tarnished silver as well. Especially beautiful ones. I will paint cheaper ones and duplicates for UA-cam. Enjoy painting some, it is wonderful!
Happy to have found you. I've been obsessed with old metal trays. They've been piling up while I'm waiting for inspiration your trays have gave me that. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now. Already subscribed. These trays turned out fantastic. The one with Freda, I couldn’t even tell it was a napkin after you finished the painting part. You matched the napkin so perfectly!
I love how you mix product brands and all your marriages of your found peices. Also, i had painted the top of my paint lids to match paint colors in the jars but putting similiar paint colors on paper seems to be more efficient way to visualize grouping colors together. Thanks for all the creative ideas
I just have to say the dog you showed with a ball in his mouth is an exact copy of my dog. Same face same ball😂. So I subscribed and I hope u show your dog. It’s so sweet and shows the kindness in your heart
WELCOME!!! So happy you are here! Thank you so much. I love this comment. I thought about showing Chloe, but I didn't want people to think I am pushing her on them. I really appreciate you telling me to show her ❤️
The Frida tray is my fav, it most definitely looks like something that would come straight outta Debi's house. Anytime I use her bright paint I think what would she buy lol.
I loved it all! Especially the tray with the vintage art and the tray with the plate (pinks) in the center. ❤ First time I've heard of Frida, and I'm 68!
Hi Vicki!!! Thank you so much for your comment! I love when people learn new things. I learn everyday, glad you found Frida!
