    I struggled with not drinking my daily dose of Dr. Pepper before my surgery, but now 4 months out of surgery I don't even crave or miss it.

      @@41degreesN12degreesE Don't feel bad. Every time I wanted a Dr. Pepper I drank water instead. That's how I got rid of the habit. Just give yourself time and forgive yourself if you fall off the Dr. Pepper wagon. I still don't drink any soda pop after my surgery. Just give it time and put the effort in and the results are worth it. ❤️😊

    Yeah I need to cut out my diet drinks, I drink too much of them. I like fizzy drinks but I need to cut this out because also it makes you dehydrated as you're drinking but not enough. Thanks Dr A.

    Thank you for this information. Just hearing you say that I can have it in moderation every now and then for some reason makes me feel more comfortable about not having it anymore. And its just something about telling yourself you won't EVER be able to have carbonation, that makes you feel like its impossible to do. Hearing it this way makes me feel like it won't be so bad.🙂

    I have an addiction to seltzer water (not diet soda at all), but plain soda water. I LOVE drinking these and consider it a source of water. So, with what you're saying, you can drink them, but much less? So like, IDK, one or two a day? I know there might not be a specific amount but it's one of the things I will miss the most.

    Carbonated drinks hurt! For me even after almost 6 years out they hurt. I have to drink them over a bunch of ice. Then its all flat and watered down by the time i drink half. Not really worth it.

    • @gabrielacarpio8869

      Short answer, yes it will. I had surgery 15 days ago. The fist week was hell for me because I could barely take sips, before my surgery I used to chug like ice cold water frequently. If you ask me what I miss the most, it’s not the food or carbonated drinks. It’s my jug of water, second week if surgery I was so thirsty I wouldn’t eat or drink anything but water (vey bad on my side) but my body was needing that water. Now that I’m on week 3 I can drink a bit more and am less thirsty. One good hack for when you can’t chug water and you get really thirsty is to suck on ice cubes.

    • @diakmef
      @diakmef 2 роки тому

      Yes, you need to sip water all day long to meet with the 32 to 64oz per day required, I struggle a lot with that and I always wake up dehydrated cuz I wake up late. And my eyes feel very dry. I have been really trying my best but it's hard since you can't really sip too much water and you also feel full to drink more
