I like Russell. I think he is a high quality person and was an amazing QB for Seattle. However, if his high school was the Collegiate School in Richmond it is no surprise he had trouble relating to his teammates in the NFL. Talk about upper crust ...

Carroll/schenider saw wilsons ability to scramble, and thought they could save money on the o line. This didnt really work out, and wilson was pissed, so he stopped trying to scramble, hoping that the team would put more beef up front. But front office just refused...flat out. So i honestly think wilson just played the way he wanted to, which led to a ton of sacks. Now im not accusing wilson of taking sacks on purpose...but his own play style and holding the ball too long caused it, not so much the offense scheme, or even the lack of talent (altho a better line would have helped for sure) and this just got worse year after year. Fans wanted russ "to cook" but they didnt really know what that meant.
Now, im not 100% sure what happened in Denver, wilson didnt lose his talent in 1 year. But i have suspicions its his mentals. His posts showed him trying to act like someone he was not to seemingly impress his wife. Trying to act cool when he is very far from it. Why would he suddenly try to change his image for his wife? I think she either cheated, or he thought she was cheating. This greatly affected his self esteem and ability to focus on his game. Plus his mentor dying didnt help.
He was cheated on by his last wife, and ge just poured himself into his game and won the super bowl shortly after. But he didnt have kids with her. I think his confidence is gone, and i dont know if he can recover from this befote he gets too old.

As far as Russell Wilson behind the line of scrimmage passes, Sean Payton was calling plays. Russell Wilson was only doing what he was told to do...
Wilson wasnt as accurate and read defenses a tad too slow for Payton's offense. Payton run complicated offenses that requires the QB to wait a second more to allow your WR to clear a defense and not run.
