Awesome study tips.At the beginning of this semester I had just started doing the key terms, objectives , and questions at the end of the chapter and I can say it has made a Hugh difference in my grade.
I like to look at the “need to know” if provided, because this is typically the things that are actually required to pass the weekly quizzes or final exam. Then I look over the PowerPoint while I’m in lecture and I may or may not write down some of what they say. Then i usually make quizlets out of the PowerPoints(depending on the time I have, I may skip this part a little and go straight to reading the textbook and THEN see what I really don’t understand and then make quizlets out of those) Lastly I go to my textbook and go over the sections. Sometimes I need to write processes, steps, info I’ll forget, or just whatever I don’t understand on a large sheet of printer paper. I try to fill it as much as possible so I don’t have too many cheat sheets per chapter (cheat sheets have been my lifesaver because it shows me everything I struggle with the most so I don’t have to run back to the textbook or PowerPoint). This study regime I’ve constructued has took me FOREVER to establish. So there’s a lot of trial and error but you’ll get there with time.
Hiii 👋🏽 yes I love this study regimen girl definitely the part where you talk about making your Quizlet because that something I’ve never did. I will definitely have to include that when I get my RN degree. Thank you for your insight. I’m sure this, it will help a lot of nursing girlies 🙏🏽🥰🫶🏽 also quizzing yourself is top-tier, because it really shows what you know and how much you can retain and apply.
Heyy 👋🏽 so when it comes to reading chapters, of course you want to read the chapters in its entirety but most importantly read the side notes/suggestions on the side of the pages. Being that the book is the main source of information, the key to ensuring you understand the chapter is to do the quizzes at the end of the chapter. Also, another tip since you have an online class meet w your instructor throughout the week to make sure you’re understanding the material! I hope this helps ♥️
OK that’s great. What classes are you currently taking? I actually used to attend ECPI, the pros for me were the resources that they offered, it was a small college. The length of the program wasn’t long at all, I wanna say in about 14 months you’d have an LPN degree I believe. Also, there were no prereqs which was nice. For me, the information was a bit hard to retain because it would go so fast, definitely the speed of the program was a hinderance for me. Always do what’s best for you, study & stay focused! you can & will get through it! 🥰🫶🏽

Wonderful! I’m glad this was able to help you. 👏🏽💕
My teachers power points are every bold category in the chapter
From THE BOOK, which is the whole chapter, basically
What if our teachers say to just read the chapter and don't give power points? Most of my classes are online.

I am currently a Ecpi student. What were some of your pros and cons?

The best way to study is to not have any study plans. No study groups and just study by yourself.
yes I definitely agree w this. I tried a study group in second semester and that was the only exam I failed. But always do what works for you 🥰
