Keep pushing through girl! Always impressed with your ability to balance life, don't lose that! Passed my boards last month and currently going through orientation at my first job, all of the work will be worth it sooner than you think 😚👩🏼⚕️
You will forever be my favorite UA-camr. Love hearing your tips to the madness! I start Practical Nursing school August 14th and I'm currently losing my mind. Thank you for calming my nerves as I sit here at 12:30 am watching nursing school videos! Love you and your motivation.
I became an LPN the first time around I watched your videos as you uploaded them. Now I’m back in RN school and I searched for you girl lol!! I’m back again and stuck❤❤❤
I failed pharmacology the first class I've ever failed in my life... it sucks that I'm behind my cohort and that I failed because of 1 point... but were studying to save a patient not for a test. It sucks that I have to see the same professor very embarrassing but I'm sure it'll make me a better nurse :)
JinetNC I am going through the same thing. I found that we just have to be optimistic. I was lacking passion for learning in my first semester after a very heavy past semester. I'm behind my cohort as well and everyone is starting their clinicals this semester however I will be starting two semesters after them.
I love Professor Fink!! I took his Physiology class at West L.A. and it was my favorite science class, I’ve taken all the RN pre-req classes so that says a lot. He makes learning so easy.
This is helpful, thanks. I just finished pharm (prerequisite) and it was the hardest class I’ve ever taken. The color coding is helpful, charts, and lists of drugs in each class, repetition, anything to get those names in your head! Your honest representation of how many things you did to do well shows that it is difficult (but can be done). 😃
thank you holley for making these videos! I'm in the process of reapplying to nursing schools so I really appreciate all the insight you have been sharing. I absolutely love your kind&genuine spirit and I'm so stoked to see you continue doing amazing things in your nursing journey. hope you're having an amazing summer!
My pharmacology class is online and I hate it. I spend more time having tech issues and cramming homework in before the due date that I feel like I'm not learning. Thanks for all the tips! :)
My univ breaks up pharm in 2 semesters. Just finished pharm 1 (aka the basics), and so nervous to start pharm 2. This video helped so much!! I had no idea how I was gonna study all these meds, but LOOOVE your organization & studying skills. Thank you so much!
I'm not going to lie your video just scared me to death and no I'm way more nervous for school!! I got accepted for the fall semester😭😭 this was very helpful though!!!!!
Your videos are so great. I love how honest you are about your experience ( I also did borderline this past semester in patho) and I have pharm this upcoming semester!! So this video helped a lot thank you!
I just got accepting into my nursing program and I’m so excited to start in the fall! I have pharm first semester and I’m so glad you made this video!!
Thanks Holl-doll!! :) I love how organized you are! Thanks for the great tips. Super excited (and nervous) to start pharm and patho this fall! Good luck with your semester!
Loved this video! Starting pharm and fundies in August! I'm super nervous but this definitely helps! Thank you and congrats on passing your classes and getting through!
When I took pharm, I didn't realize how important just focusing on the drug class was! I got bogged down trying to study every single individual drug. I still passed with a B, but I could have made it a lot easier on myself lol. So funny how we can recall info just by remembering what color we used in our notes! That def helps me too!
wow thank you for posting this video. i'm nervous to take pharm, i heard its the hardest class ever. i will take your tips into consideration. and good luck to you on your upcoming semester!
hey holley! yes, plz do more nursing videos. its very helpful and informative for me personally bcuz I'm in the process of doing prerequisite courses to enter into an accelerated nursing program. however, i really enjoyed watching this video bcuz ill know what to expect when taking pharmacology. keep up the good work and look forward to you posting a video when you graduate!
LoveLuna mine is the same except for intro A&P, advanced A&P and Human patho they all had end of term exams with one written assignment it's crazy her pharmacology also seemed a bit more about learning and the drugs themselves where as we mainly focused on the drug categories and how they work in the body
I'm in semester 3/5 & already finished pharm, however I think using this organization and study technique will really help with my other classes. Glad I saw this !
Thank you for the video! I've been watching so many pharmacology nursing videos. I start my second semester of nursing in a week and I'll be taking pharmacology this semester. So I'm trying to prepare myself because I'm also taking Med Surge I and I know they will be the hardest classes this semester. I'm really going to work ahead this semester and breath!

Thank you for posting this video!! I start nursing school in August and we dont do pharm until second semester (they do 2 semesters for pharm because the pair it with pathophyis), I feel like I am going to need all the help I can get! I have to rewrite things to make it stick so I think these tips are going to really help. Thanks girl
I've been in summer school selfishly waiting for you and all of my other favorite YT nursing students to start back! This was great to get me ready for pharm. I have to stay on top of it! I start med surg I, psych, and pharm on the 22nd! It was the 21st but they pushed back the first day for the eclipse! Thanks for the video :)
We have an ATI test over that book this semester and I'm so scared because everyone says that that exam will make or break you for the semester. 😅 thank you so much for your tips!! Ill definitely pay attention to the drug class content and watch for matching suffixes. I ordered these giant pharm phlash cards I found on amazon with lots of content and pictures so I hope that helps too!
I start pharmacology next fall but I want to start getting familiar with the class and how to study because everyone says its the hardest class in nursing school. So, I want to get prepared. Thanks so much for the tips!
You're lucky you got the summer off! We got stuck with OB, Mental Health, and Informatics this summer. We finish up finals this week but HOLY MESS do I want to die. Cramming those classes in 8 weeks was seriously the hardest thing ever.
Absolutely love your channel been watching for about four or five months and I've got to say your like one of the best channels out there, I'm starting my BSN in child nursing in sept. It's weird we specialise before we go into uni it's Scotland 😂😂 I was wondering if you have thought about making a video on male nurses and what your experience is ? Again love the videos ❤️
Hey girl! I absolutely love you videos. I'm starting my nursing program in less than a month and I'm definitely excited and nervous. Do you have any good tips for motivating yourself to keep health and fitness of a high importance? I love to workout and do it almost everyday during summer, but during school I notice that when I become tired and stressed out I make every excuse such as needing to study to not workout and eat right? Just thought I'd ask to see if you have any really good ways to balance school as well as health and fitness ? Thanks girly :)
Love your tips and study methods! We use similar methods as well! And that's the same textbook we use as well! So awesome that you're instructor gave you the book!
I will be starting nursing school on September and I'm so excited! During your first semester what classes did you take? I love your videos & thanks for your help Holley

Okay I hope you do not take this the wrong way. But if you'd like to relay helpful information to an audience it's best to make the introduction less lengthy. At 2:11 you actually started to talk about what the title of the video said. Just something to think about. Good tips though!
I live in Iowa as well, they added a CNA course to Valley High School that is a year long! Is there anything I should know before? Also do they choose where you work after? If not, how do you know which nursing home is the best?
Hi I'm studying in the UK and in my last year of nursing, feel like the support is useless for pharmacology is useless! Top tips on how to remember everything?
I'm in nursing school and we have an exam every single week along with clinical's. I am in my 2nd semester of core classes and I have never seen such horrible grades in my academic career. I'm becoming discourage as I do not have enough time to study due to the condense courses. Apparently, this is new to the college I attend, and I don't know what to do at this point. Hi, how did you guys get over that pharmacology class?
