Holy heck that rolling backlight strobing is genius. Why bother messing with overdrive like ulmb2 when you can just strobe each region when it's ready? That should improve input lag a tiny amount too since you no longer have to wait for the refresh to reach the bottom of the screen before strobing. This is what local dimming capabilities should be used for instead of shitty HDR implementations.
Time to ask Monitors Unboxed to check it out!
Waiting for it!

Your site says DyAc supports 100fps/hz+, I was about to get this monitor but the lack of 60hz support is leading me into a different direction. Its very useful for retro content, videos, singleplayer games, etc. Like yes I am a eSports player but people use their monitors for more than just one thing, you know that right? Theirs a million different games to play and a ton of things I can do on my PC.

The reason why salaried professionals rarely use more than 240Hz at home is because a majority of tournament organizers still have 240Hz stuff in their event equipment inventories. So sitting down at a setup on stage at a large LAN event means you'll be stuck on a 2-5 year old 240Hz monitor, anyway.
Reading the comments...I dont know why half people commenting on OLED 1440p etc, this is esport fps focusing monitor if you want pretty image quality there is other choices.
I own one, and I can't spot a worthy difference. Once I bought a decent Asus 1440p 300hz monitor, I couldn't go back to 1080p due to the huge difference in clarity which is a huge advantage in so many games. I love Zowie and I respect the effort and the technology they offer and produce, but it is time for you to go to the next level which is 1440p with Dayc. I will be the first to buy such a production.
Hi, sorry for we don't have this offering at this moment; this is mainly due to economic scales limitation for panel makers to make good/fast response 2K panel (even there a lost of slower IPS panel already). We will keep studying on solution.
Great, as i just bought the xl2566k 2 months ago 🤣. I’ll keep this one for the years to come though. My pc can barely get the 360hz on cs2 anyway.
Good decision. Even at 360hz you can get drops to around high 200s in combat with the best hardware. Idk whos expecting a constant 500 fps in anything besides a couple games with the lowest possible graphics with a 4080 and i9 or something
You dont need to run the game at 540 fps to have a benefit you will still get a better response time and DyAc2, but you can wait for the monitor that will beat this one or the next
same situation. I will have to sell it for half the price i bought it for and buy the 540hz zowie.

@@ZOWIEeSportsplease make them relatively light, 70-75 gram range please 🙏
I have had the XL2546K since it came out and their 144hz version before that. I recently got the PG27AQN to try it out and while the 1440p is nice if your system can run it, there is something about the zowie that just makes it better for everything. I have found myself using their black equalizer in almost everything and no monitor remotely comes close. Also the Zowie's get significantly brighter when using Dyac+ than the PG27AQN gets with ULMB2. ULMB2 might be great technically speaking but if it doesnt get bright enough, then it isn't really useable. Color accuracy might not be the best out of the box on the zowie but with some calibration its not bad at all in comparison. Even if you like to watch shows and whatnot, doing so on 1440p actually kinda sucks. Many services don't have 2k streaming and instead just 1080p so the picture can look a bit blurry from having to upscale. Honestly the only thing I have found that really stands out is the Gsync module. It is especially helpful for all types of games when you don't consistanly reach the fps to match the high refresh rate.
Honestly what I'm now finding is that the ideal setup is possibly an IPS or even OLED for a secondary monitor for media use that geared more towards content creation/consumption use and then having a zowie for gaming. That new XL2586X is truly looking like a worthy upgrade nowadays and with the new Dyac 2 that might be even better. I'll be keeping my eye out for further reveiws of that model in the near future.
Thanks for your support, buddy ;-)
@@ZOWIEeSports Not a problem, I like supporting products that provide a lot of value. My only suggestion would be to have full Gsync support with a GSync module or at least Gsync compatible instead of Freesync like the previous model. It's the main standout function that is very helpful for games that don't nearly reach the fps needs for the higher refresh rate, specifically Tarkov. Freesync just isn't nearly as good as Gsync in the slightest now that I've seen both.
If your new XL2586X had it, then it could be the perfect "gaming" monitor for anything.
@@saint_snow thank you; actually for our models support variable sync feature, it is working with GSYNC.

Curious to hear what people think about OLEDs for competitive FPS purposes
They’re definitely too pricey for majority of casual esports players but I’ve been playing on one for a few months now and I love it. Been using the LG 27” 1440p OLED
I’m expecting the price of this new 540hz monitor to be $800+ which puts you in the range of an OLED 1440p 240hz. The pixel response time of the OLED is going to make the panel very clear(even more than my dyac + monitor) but the motion smoothness of even 360hz feels smoother, 540hz is going to be a continuation of this.
For the most competitive edge I think the higher refresh is the better way to go, but I personally switched to the LG OLED and enjoy the clarity of each frame including pixel response, resolution increase, and color depth. It’s overall a very enjoyable experience, like driving a sports car vs an f1 car, yes the f1 car is faster, but it only really matters on the track.
Useless. Why would you buy a panel that is prone to burn in for a game that you will spend a ton of hours in??? You will 100% burn in the HUD/Crosshair for the game you are playing, and if you say no you wont... Yes... Yes you will, especially seeing as you are taking the game serious enough to drop that much money on a panel for it, so you are highly likely going to make it your main game and spend a thousand+ hours on it. Also pretty sure Dyac is better than OLED in terms of motion clarity but OLED is close.
they don't play on a 27 inch 1440p display, if they will sell 1080p oled then maybe those pro players will consider it
Not worth it, until they release microOLED tech for monitors

2546x or 2566k? which is better for competetive CS2 ?
Sorry for late reply.
I think it depends on below conditions for XL2566K:
Here's how to ensure you get a better experience on XL2566K with its 360Hz refresh rate with DyAc⁺™.
The first thing is to make sure your PC game supports 360 fps.
Second, we recommend an Nvidia RTX 30 series, AMD RX 6000 series or newer graphics card connected using the factory original DP1.4 cable that came with the monitor. And, for CPU-intensive titles like CS:GO or VALORANT, make sure your computer works with consistent 360-frames per second output stably, even at the peak of the battle.
Otherwise, your monitor may not run smoothly at 360Hz and you'll possibly have a worse experience than just playing on a 240Hz monitor.
If your condition is compatible for 360hz, then i think you can consider XL2566K as a long term solution to fully leverage your pc capability; if your pc and game is not capable of stable 360fps above, and also if you don't have hardware upgrade plan sooon, then you can consider XL2546X. Cheers.
Will there be a 360hz model with dyac 2?
Hi, we will, but we don’t have a visible schedule yet.
Hi Zowie. I'm wondering if you guys are working on a way to get DyAc to work at 60hz like some other displays?
I'm aware its most likely not a feature due to flickering not because the backlight isn't capable, I'd suggest looking into something called "Quick Frame Transport (QFT)" that can reduce flicker and crosstalk at hertz lower than the max refresh rate, the BlurBusters have some explanations on it and it could even help your 100hz implementation along with allowing you to go lower (assuming QFT isn't something your already using). Best regards
My XL2430T back then could single strobe at 60hz back then, and the flickering wasn’t THAT noticeable why playing retro games. I still have it somewhere laying around in 1000 pieces with the power supply gone 😢
@@yeeonardo it's really unfortunate to here they removed it. Its definetly an arbitrary limitation as if a display is capable of higher hz strobing then it can go lower, higher hz is what requires better hardware not vice versa. I hope they consider easening the range

Hi, sorry for late reply; not sure which model of your ZOWIE monitor? Actually we have some models can do 60hz DyAc, but it is strongly not suggested due to the performance and comfortability concern.
And that is why we always suggested to use DyAc only when it is above 100hz/fps.
If you still have question, please feel free to DM us via twitter: ZOWIEbyBenQ or reddit: ZOWIESupport, we will be happy to further assist you, thank you.
@@ZOWIEeSports So can the model(s) in this video do 60hz? Because on your website when explaining the DyAc it says 100hz+, is that just what's recommended and it can actually go lower than that or is that actually all it can do?
60hz hahahah RIP 60hz
the xl2546k should not still be a $400 monitor in today's market. cmon zowie

how to change language from korean to english in s switch?
27" VERSION?
Are those 6-bit or 8-bit Panels?
8bits.
Hi, would like to correct: it is 8bits.
My ZOWIE XL2566K ¸360HZ will be able to get dyac 2 or nah?
XL2566K is DyAc+, not DyAc2 yet.
DyAc2 has a different panel and hardware design comparing to DyAc+.
I will be able to update it to dyac2 with my 360?@@ZOWIEeSports
@@NaksOG no lol
ViewSonic cooked you guys with an IPS display in motion clarity... just switch to IPS already
Hi, it is understandable to each one has their own preference and choice; just for your reference:
ua-cam.com/video/OuwN97JiBms/v-deo.html
Two questions :
- Does DyAc 2 perform better than DyAc+ ? It's not really understandable in the video
- Where these two are going to come ?
It's really long seriously...
Hi,
1. Yes
2. XL2546X: it is starting to be available in some countries
XL2586X: Sorry for the update is delayed due to supply chain is closed for the Chinese New Year Holidays until mid Feb and we will update availability after operation is resumed.
I prefer to wait for OLED monitors 500hz +
Zowie, just how improved is DyAc 2 than DyAc+? Can we really spot the differences if we already own a DyAc+ monitor?
Hi, it depends on each one's sensitivity to the difference; you can have reference by this video:
ua-cam.com/video/mcMb0sPoAmo/v-deo.html
If you already own DyAc+ model, then maybe you can consider a higher refresh rate model with DyAc2 as a upgrade; you can consider it together with your main game (if can achieve higher hz/stable in higher fps), and your pc upgrade plan.
If any question, please kindly feel free to let me know, thank you.
What is the color gamut of the ZOWIE XL2546X & XL2586X? Is it atleast 100% dcip3?
89% DCI-P3. They are using the same AU Optronics panel that ASUS is.
i would like to know wether they calibrated it from the factory or not
ok that's crazy but when are the zowie za13-c's gonna come back in stock................... D:
Hi, sorry for late reply and sorry for that.
Not sure what country are you from? And also which store you mentioned?
1440p Zowie monitors when?
Hi, we did offer 2K monitor before, but i am sorry for we don't have this offering at this moment; this is mainly due to economic scales limitation for panel makers to make good/fast response 2K panel. We will keep studying on solution.
XL2735
Will Xl2546X have much better colors than XL2566K ?
Hi, regarding color performance, it will be similar between those two, thanks.
