I agree and here is what I do lately. Practice asking yourself questions whenever you feel something or want to do something like Do I really need this? Why do I feel jealous or some sort of emotions? (Jealous basically means that's what you want in your life or what you like) Is that really what I wanna do? It helps me clear my mind and journalling is a good hobby too.
