- It's time for the Bossman himself to talk us through (one of) his staff bikes.
He still has love for the Triumphs so chose the Street Scrambler as his Daily ride, but he hasn't been able to resist the tinkering urges.
Watch as he talks us through his mods and let's us hear that pipe once again!

Brown and black look amazing together, especially on a bike.
LOL Please tell Vikki. She's not a fan!
Hi.. I am surprised at how "surprised" people are at Black and Brown working together.!?
Think of endless breeds of Dog.. black and tan.. almost all thoro'bred racehorses are Bay horses, aka Brown with Black points [lower legs, mane and tail..]
I was around for the original Cafe' scene all those years ago.. there was NO old school. It simply didn't exist.
If a guy put new "Ace" bars on a worn-out old twin.. Bingo.! Cafe Racer.. and the talk of the Cafe crowd. That scene.
Wishful thinking perhaps.?
WF
Not really, brown and black does not go usually well together, every person who knows something about design will tell you that... ;-) But here brown is so dark, it looks almost like different shade of black from a distance...
Brown and Black can look great together.
That is to say, a black bike with a brown leather seat.
This is becoming my favorite channel, Love the passion Brits have for motorcycles. Well done! Beautiful bike!
If Steve McQueen was still here....this is what his personal daily bike would look like.
Ah, no.
Been planning on getting this bike for a long time and this is pretty much exactly how I've been trying to configure it via the Triumph site - except in green. Really glad you produced this video AND that we clearly share the same sense of scrambler style. Has just gotten me even more pumped for the day I finally own one.
Fantastic job on your Street Scrambler, Dutch. It’s very close to the path I’m on with my own. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant! Subtle changes (except that wonderful exhaust) made that bike even more beautiful! I love the colour scheme and the new seat it really makes the difference. Great as usual!
This bike inspired me to get my Scrambler. I m started my channel to journal my adventures. Looking forward to seeing you all in LA! Thanks for the inspiration.
Wow that's the best sound I've ever heard!!
The sound of the bike at the end was amazing! Congrats on the bike man👍
Looks fantastic and prob the best triumph bike to date. Looking forward to the air filter update 👍 staff bike updates are great.
Absolutely beautiful bike. I'm in love!
Black and brown is the combo I went for with my street twin... looks great! 👌 loving your videos, using them as inspiration for what to change on my bike so keep them up! 👍
Brilliant bike Dutch! Well done sir! 👍🏍🇬🇧
Fabulous looking and sounding bike Dutch - nice job! I loved the Street Scrambler when I had the pleasure of borrowing one last year....very tempted by what you've done here, not beyond a technical numpty like me to replicate what you've done, hmmmm....
loved your review on it! You should totally go for it!
TheMissendenFlyer that's just what I was thinking! Ask Triumph to sponsor you a home build series...
Do it, TMF.
AWESOME MOTORCYCLE JOB!!! INCREDIBLE SOUND. THAT I S A REAL BEAUTY, MATE!!
I love what I've done with this Triumph Street Scramble. It looks & sounds Fantastic. A great job..
I Mobile DJ Steve Dee St Albans weddings, Hertfordshire,Harpenden, Disco DJ Hire Hatfield

I really Love this bike! Someday I'll have mine! Congrats man, God bless you!
That bike looks and sounds amazing. I have to have one.
Brilliant looking and sounding bike, that is a great all rounder. What more could you ask for ? If Steve McQueen was alive he would want it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Great job mate👏🏽, well done 👍
Very cool! Gives me some good ideas for my Thruxton
That is a bad ass bike!!! Awesome sound!!!
It looks fantastic. 😮👍🏽
Looks brilliant.
Love it. Thanks for sharing. That pipe... 👍🏻
Great bike, one of my favourite
The black and tan look great!
This is literally my dream bike!!
I got one of these with the fox and the exhaust for a bargain and its fantastic, better bike than I expected to be able to buy
The mat black and dark brown leather look great. Don't let anyone else tell you different 👍
Great looking bike 👍
Khaki green and brown for me! Great video though
Nice and clean built
I got one. They are just a sweet ride.
Great bike, love the colour scheme (I have it in green) can't bring myself to call it a black and tan bike though...
Nice bike and what a sound! but i like the older model too with carbs and aircooling
Looks good !!
Very nice looking bike.
Beautiful.
I could have done with another few minutes of that sound at the end!
Under load...
Love the video guys. You should compile a list in the description from where you've purchased all the parts (not from the cataloge) or whom you reference in the video in terms of third-party works on the bike. Love this channel :)
Most of it's covered in the comment if you scroll. Thanks. ;)
Looks cool and sounds great congrats. I’m torn between the street twin and scrambler as my next bike. Been commuting on a Suzuki 125 for 18 months and decided I need something bigger and more comfortable.
test ride both and you'll know which is right for you?
I love it, it's perfect.
That's a beautiful bike and the thing you did with the tank is very inspiring. I got a grey ST. I wonder how it will look like on grey if i do the same :) The only thing that catches my eyes is the grey sprocket at the back. It will be great if it was black too.
On a scale of 1-10, your bike is an 11. If I find my way to a SS, I’d do 95% of the same mods. Pipe sound is too good; neighbors would hate me.
Love it.
Dream bike right there!
Fab! Sold....I want one!
Love it.
Nice bike
Air filter doesn't do much. It's the restrictive camshaft which is the problem. Lovely bike. Thanks for the vid
I hear rumours of a hotcam kit in production from one of the aftermarket crews... If they do one, I'll test it.
Please pass on any tests or info on a cam upgrade. The bike looks and sounds awesome. I would love to do one up just about like that.
Excellent taste…!!!
Damn that sound!
Amazing job that you've done with this bike! Congrats! How did you manage to fix the rear black plastic cover without the bolts coming from the silver aluminum piece that goes on top???
I AM GLAD YOU STARTED IT UP !!!
I was WAITING for it. Suspense was killing me!
G8 review. Thank you.
Question PLEASE. Can one still purchase THAT particular exhaust, or has it been 'canned'?
Regards from 'OZ'.. (Australia)
Mine looks very similar great bike to raz about on town or country lanes 😃
Hi Dutch, I really like the matte effect that you've and would like to try it out om my bike. Any tips on what do and what not to do?
I have the same bike and it's great! until you forget to turn off the traction control and try to climb a fairly steep hill off road and the tire starts to spin half way up and the bike shuts down because of said traction control causing you and the bike to high side and slide down the hill. There is just no need for traction control on a scrambler, thank god I put on the factory engine guards because they actually worked and saved my cases. The bike faired way better than I did! I also found out that when the bike is on it's side on a steep hill it is virtually way to heavy to pick up by yourself, thankfully a guy was out shooting and saw me go down and helped me out, even brought me a brewski, which I desperately needed! JUST REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL WHEN OFF HIGHWAY!
I have decided to get this bike because of this video. I was in between this and the ducati scrambler.
good choice
Buy Triumph
i came down to the same decision, triumph ss or ducati scrambler and went with the triumph...diggin it!!
Nice 👍🏽
Hi Dutch, I’ve done all those things to my bike, Triumph certainly missed a trick on blacking out the headlamp bracket I think. I agree the seat looks good in dark brown, more old school. I’m going to a car trim shop to get my seat done, as it’s comfortable , which some custom seats are not. I’ve installed a K &N filter and the throttle is much crisper. Now she sucks well(😜) and breathes well. Is the bar brace and pad a Triumph catalogue part?
I’ll have to speak to my dealer. Got the R&G tail tidy on mine and a small plate, net result = shit all up my back and helmet. Oh well, form over function as always.
I used Brian Ardiss at @Racetag76 to do my seat. He was great and fast.
Man I was considering selling my '07 Daytona as it had problem after problem (and was recently stolen and recovered thanks to the tracker I have fitted) and wanted to get a T100 black, and a lot of the parts you've fitted are pretty much identical to the ones I wanted, only problem is it'll probably cost ~£12,000 with labour added in if I were to get all the bits I want.
Biking is a fickle mistress :(
Try the Street Scrambler before you buy any other Triumph twin.
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club I would, but I'm really not a fan of the pipe placement nor the knobblies, it would be a waste as I'd never take it even remotely off road
I’ve wanted a triumph scrambler for like 5 years now.
Now's the time to get one. They weren't this good before 2017.
I am with Vicki on the black and brown thing
Black and brown together ist amazing. Just look at bonneville t1e0 black and brown seat.
Great choice of accesoiries that makes it look so much better than the original!
I went with almost all the same options on mine.
Can’t find anything simple and neat to replace my fuel cap though : would you mind sharing where you got your from?
That sounds beef 👊🏻
Awesome bike. Anyone aware if you can fit Triumphs factory cruise control for T100 onto a Scrambler?
Inspections (MOTs) in the UK seem tough. The government should cut you guys some slack, especially with the high taxation and fuel prices that are in place. Exhaust sounds great BTW! 🏁
They are the least tough in the whole of Europe, thankfully, and better than some US states. For now.
ekim andersom
Ich weiß!
No MOT inspection in my state. Never had an inspection on any vehicle for that matter.
Hey Dutch thanks for the great video, you inspired me to get my own scrambler and I love it. I was wondering where you got your fuel tank cap and front mud guard from?
Both should all be referenced in the comments below, with links.
Hi Dutch et all,
I really love this brown seat.. any idea, where I could get this for my Triumph Thunderbird? Does anyone know, what kind of color code this brown has got? Thanks, Cheers, Sven
Badass
Anyone knows where I can find the front fender Dutch has on it's bike? @Dutch, you mentioned Thailand?
Hi Dutch, I put a street twin right hand side panel on mine, its for same exhaust and looks much better and you will have metal heats guard that came with exhaust,
Thanks Graeme.
Which indicators did you go with in the end (if you changed them yet)?
Do you have to add a tuner or flash these triumph scrambles after exhaust change
Do you have the links for the petrol cap and short mudguard
It's a beautiful bike, Dutch. Now I'm torn between the T100 or the Scrambler as my next daily. Stay cool, man.
Test ride them both. That will make your mind up.
Just bought a street scrambler, don’t actually have a license yet!!! Where can I pick up one of those fuel caps? The one you have looks really cool.
Man alive I want this bike....are you able to tell me about the tyre sizes - is the tyre on the front a rear TKC tyre (looks fatter thank stock but maybe that’s just the tread?)?
Bike looks great I plan to fit the Vance and Hines to my Green One all the the Ones I have seen have the ugly black heat shield is yours the Street Twin exhaust and did it need to be modified to fit?
Yes it is - and no modification required.
Hello, does anyone have any suggestions for handguards for the Street Scrambler. Strangely, I simply cannot find any kit that does not require an odd assortment of parts, hacking, grinding, etc. for them to fit. Any thoughts would be helpful. Cheers.
Love this video and the one of Dan's T100. Watching them over for inspiration. Would love to fit those TKC80 tires to my new Black T100. Do you know what size you got that fit?
Street Scrambler wheel sizes are different from the T100, so you'd need to google the rim size, width and recommended tyre wall height for your bike, and stick to those dimensions with the TKCs.
Further to this, the stock sizes on the pirelli phantoms which come stock are 100/90 - 18 for the front and 150/70 - 17 for the rear.
Dutch’s Street scrambler has a 19 inch front as opposed to the T100’s 18 inch front so he runs 110/80 - 19 there and a 150/80 - 17 on the rear.
TKC don’t do an 18 for the front but some people run a rear although it’s not ‘technically’ advised.
The sizes I run on my T100 are 110/80 - 18 and a 160/60 on the rear and those are Pirelli MT60RS.
Lots of numbers there, but hope that helps!
Glad you like the videos. [Dan]
Great looking bike! , sounds superb. Do have bar risers on it...? Steve
Bars are standard and quite high. The bar brace is an add-on.
Hey Buddy your bike looks fire. I have couple questions, where did you get the seat (its amazing) and also the fender eliminator. Please let me know.
Does the bar brace bolt straight on or do I need to remove the handle bars? Triumph weren’t sure when I asked this week
Ben Wallace it bolts straight on. No need to remove anything
Did you have to get the bike remapped after you installed the V&H exhaust system?
amazing that sound!
Please, Where can I buy that exhaust!
thanks!
Triumph sell them. It's listed as an accessory for the Street Twin.
This bike inspired my purchase of a SS and the mods I've since made. Thanks! PS .. did you ever swap out the indictors and try an aftermarket air filter?
dutch's videos on the SS sold me as well!! i've made similar mods to mine and it looks + runs amazing...would like to hear if anyone has swapped out stock air filter on SS for aftermarket?
Can you make a review of the BMW r80 ROA???
brilliant sound :) - which custom Tail did you mount ? it looks perfect ?
Regards from Germany
Tail mount is a Triumph aftermarket item, I just cut it down, I believe this is explained in the vide.
Does this V&H exhaust fit 2020 and up triumph Scramblers?
Exactly why did triumph drop the vance and hines exhaust? Where there problems with the quality or sound too loud?
Magnus Glans Yeah, that’s a critical part of what makes this bike so cool... what’s the alternative now? Probably that V&H Double pipe which just doesn’t look as tight
Thanks for the video, Dutch! Watched it several times until I ended up ordering the Scrambler myself - with pretty much same gear as you - pipe, brace, tyres, tail removal kit etc. (all from Triumph).. So ... do you sport a number plate or did you also just scuff up the plastic cover on the left side of the bike?
I have a number board and my boots have scuffed it.
The way it should be. I also noticed that your chain guard looks different.
So my question is he just rubbed the tank down with wet and dry and thats it???
New game, everytime he says catalogue, take a shot
Hi Dutch love the bike , just fitted this same exhaust to my street scrambler.. did you get yours remapped by triumph? Seems to run ok . Did you match with a k+n . Thanks
K&N is coming. Map seems to handle the pipe just fine as it is.
@@BikeShedMotoCo thanks 👍
Hey Dutch, weird question here: Thinking of getting myself one, but am 6'3" - you seem quite tall, comfortable to ride? Also I saw the Vance&Hines had black coated version of that exhaust, would you have taken that rather if it were available then? You still riding that beauty?
Nice little fun runner ;) May i ask you what is your shoes model Bossman? CheeRS. BN
Link to the tank cap?
