    Absolutely amazing looking bike. Triumph Street Scrambler was a bike I wouldn't have looked at before in its standard guise but having seen this with its factory mods and with those tyres is just an awesome looking machine with just an unbelievable sound. Looking forward to picking mine up soon...

    Ohh- love the tail tidy. I might add that on mine. I just put the TORs exhaust on my Scrambler- they sound mean! It's such a fun bike though- we've been all round Europe on ours and they're perfect for exploring!

    You mentioned it was de-catted, mind sharing which de-cat / x pipe system you used?
    I'm eyeing the zard conicals in case i cant get a hold of this pipe, hope they get a somewhat similar effect to yours.
    Such a gorgeous bike, with just small touches here and there transforms it into a beast. Ride safe!

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому

      As explained in the video, it's a Triumph accessory for the Street Twin from 2016 which comes without cat or baffles.

    • @mrfq_abg
      @mrfq_abg 6 років тому +2

      Ah, i understand now i think- this means the exhaust kit itself gets rid of the cat without having a need to get a different bypass kit. Thanks

    I just recently picked up a street scrambler.... It is literally one of the most fun bikes ever and it looks great. It rides similarly to the Ducati scrambler; handles great! I really need to get that exhaust!!!! (The stock exhaust is so choked and quiet.)

      Get one while stocks last. They're being phased out.

    • @truthseeker-jwnightmares4351
      @truthseeker-jwnightmares4351 6 років тому

      They both had very similar handling. The "Street Scrambler" is much more nimble than the outgoing scrambler and it also has a lot of potential for power upgrades. Also I was going to the flat track races and a guy was winning on the scrambler... I fell in love with the sound and the look of it.

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 6 років тому

      Truth Seeker thanks for your response , I’m between the two, ducati or triumph and many say that the scrambler has the edge because its lighter. Did the extra weight of the triumph bothered you?

    First of all hit dislike by accident 😩 just got this exhaust today & wow total result. Feels & sounds great not choked any more so can't recommend enough. Was thinking of taking the new TEC cam option but the bike just feels great now so saved me money. Thanks for the recommendation. Does the shop u mentioned sell the short front mudguard & was it a bolt on replacement or customised to fit? Also does the mudguard affect the tyres? Thanks Mick Yorkshire.

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому

      Hi Mick. The mudguard comes from a website in Thailand. It's a straight fit using the existing bolts and brackets and doesn't foul the tyres. Not exactly high tech but there were no fit issues.

      Mirrors are obviously recommended, but when I wear an open face helmet I feel safe without them, as you see a lot on every lifesaver, even right behind you, plus it encourages me to looks properly whenever I manoeuvre.

    Dutch gorgeous bike, would you have still bought the scrambler if you didn’t have to commute on it ? Would it still be a fun weekend bike or would you find it a bit under powered etc ?

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому +1

      Yes I would. It is a little under powered at the top end, but makes up for it in the low down grunt and midrange. Another 10bhp would tip the balance and I might not need another bike, but as it is, I am not disappointed.

  • @markroberts1862

    Great bike and customisation. Im thinking of replacing my Street Triple with a Scrambler. Wonder about the difference in performance though.

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому

      There's no question the bike will feel very different and on paper there's much less power, but it all depends where and how you ride. These are great city bikes, but surprisingly agile on the twisties too. You may arrive at your destination later than before (maybe) but you won't be grinning any less, and you may even before the delivery of the characterful twin over the revvy triple.

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому +1

      With the straight thru pipe the metalwork seems to run cooler than with the stock item. In medium-weight denim I can rest my leg on the heatshield for several seconds without discomfort.

    Dutch do you still have this bike (I'm writing this in February 2020) ? I like the fact you need something to get over pot holes etc in London. I am buying a 2018 Street Scrambler (2018 model). Can't wait. In fact I am part exchanging a lovely 2016 Triumph Bonneville T120. Being 1200cc it's too big for my needs , beautiful bike though it is. Have you considered the new 1200 Scrambler?

  • @Rottemikkel
    @Rottemikkel 7 років тому +1

    Nice! Did you remap the engine after you put the full exhaust on?
    And what size TKC80 did you put on the bike? Does the standard size fit (100/90-19 and 150/70-17)?

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  7 років тому +2

      Engine map works with this pipe as the lambda sensor can adapt to mild changes in the exhaust gases. Tyres are same sizes at the OEM Tourance tyres. Oversized width up front comes up with a lower profile. Need to keep the same rolling circumference to not upset the TC.

    • @stevenR69533

      Surprisingly enough, this exhaust runs cooler than the OEM and official aftermarket pipe, both with Cats, so with thick jeans on I can rest my leg on the pipe, even in busy traffic with the engine running hot.

    I just started riding, have a 125 cafe racer, but love your work. Two questions. 1.For a town bike, why no mirrors. 2. How does the pillion (wife) cope with the exhaust.. I imagine it is a little hot at the end of a ride.

    • @BikeShedMotoCo
      @BikeShedMotoCo  6 років тому

      Dutch is a seasoned biker and if you ride with him you'd struggle to find anyone who takes more lifesaver glances - he prefers the look of a classic racer for the road, mirrors spoil that. His wife tends to ride her own bike but when on the Scrambler she just keeps her leg out of the way, there's enough room.

    Hi, just managed to get one of those few remaining exhausts (haven't bought the bike yet)! Only had a quick look at it but I can't see how to remove the dB killer. Can you enlighten me please? Loving your bike by the way, can't wait to get mine.

    Ummmp. Im new to bikes. Isn't that exhaust pipe dangerous? Is there a possibility for me to get burned riding that?

    I've fallen in love with this bike. I just want one to bomb around Seattle city streets.

    Nice . . . very nice. Do you have compulsory emissions and decibel testing there? If so, what are the tolerances?

      There's no proper testing here for an MOT, but if you're given a ticket there are noise restrictions to comply to - but I've never known anyone get a ticket - and while this pipe is quite loud, it's not obnoxious.
