Life too short for long UA-cam videos? See the ’Interesting bits and go-to sections’ timings below.
In today’s episode Dan puts together a pedalboard for our wonderful friend and all-round awesome geezer, Peter Honoré. For anyone who doesn’t know, Danish Pete is a professional guitarist whose day job is over at Andertons TV on UA-cam. / andertonsmusic
Pete also has his own UA-cam channel - please go there! / peterhonore
A master of taste and touch in his playing, Pete requires a relatively simple but versatile board based around the Schmidt Array SA-450 platform. Dan and Pete talk through the pedal choices before assembling it all in terms of layout, power and audio.
Apologies in advance for the lengthy section on the H9 and MIDI. Why anyone subjects themselves to this remains a total mystery to me - Mick here - but hey, some of you krayzee kids just love this stuff.
Apologies also for the highly average production today. No Simon = me trying to remember how the cameras work and forgetting to turn lights on, etc. Ha!
Enjoy the video!

Dan: "One thing you haven't tried before is the wet/dry thing"
Pete: "Well, not on a pedalboard.."
LMAO
He is so quick with those.
The man is a God amongst men!
"I'm alone all the time, mostly in the corner of the shower, 'til the water runs cold. Crying." I'm still laughing.
"Wet, Dry... and Moist".... and "I don't play with myself.. in the shower". So much Pete in this video :)
Everything with Pete is a joke. He is so damn cool.
Every time I see Danish Pete playing, I feel like I don't know how to play guitar.
One of the most inspiring guitar player with amazing guitar tones in my opinion.
Pete is great; the other two.....
Pete is radical!
Best intro ever! This is starting to turn from being the best gear-show on UA-cam to being the best sitcom... I LOVE IT
Kalle André Johansson more like a Rom Com with these three 😂
Dan is “strangely attractive” and a “beautiful man” with his “hairy Arms.”
Oh man, when Pete popped out from under the covers....that was GOLDEN
Love these board builds, especially when everyone else is joking around but Dan goes into "work mode"
Charlie Bolland yeah he had to pull the weight on this one
Pete played for Helene Fischer? Thats insane. That absolutely raised my respect for her
Hahaha
Dan putting boards together is ASMR
That Oswald guitar looks and sounds great.
Been watching Pete through Andertons for years now and I just love his playing. It’s so full of feeling.
33:24 After a long discussion of not talking over the reverb trails, Dan talks over the reverb trail. Genuinely love the show, you are all awesome.
The chemistry between you guys and Danish Pete is unlike any other guest you've had on the show. You can feel the mutual respect and friendship.... and it leads to some really funny moments as well! I'd love to see Pete on the show more often, not just because he is a great and knowledgeable player but mainly because of how you three play off each other! haha
I hope this means Pete is potentially touring in some capacity again! While being at andertons is entertaining to us, it would be a true gift to see some live performances. I understand he has family he wants to be with though.
Videos like this are the reason UA-cam was invented.... well done guys.
Mick walks up like a boss and, without strapping the guitar on, just man handles some bluesy goodness.
Badass lol.
Board sounds great too.
not having wet dry ability makes no sense to me at all...
@@forrallofusplenty4342 Oh, he has it...just not on the pedalboard
@@forrallofusplenty4342 what is wet dry??
@@blasemancine3998 That depends on whether you're using Pete's lexicon, in which case I think it's something NSFW.
When Dan and Mick gave Pete his guitar back to jam over his loop and he just brought all the dynamics out of his hands immediately : 0
Pete’s the best! His on-screen personality and antics are only bested by his playing. More Pete!
Has anyone else organised Friday lunchtime to always be at 12 just so this can be watched?
That's normal lunch time you dingus
Best thing about Friday lunchtime, apart from the burger and beer....
Haha... I get away with watching it during work hours :)
right here!!!
Sal, it is my Friday morning show. I wake and seek the new TPS.
Hearing you guys play within the context of harmony and rhythm adds so much. The looper works!
If I buy a G2 ... can Dan come round to my house for the day and explain how it works?
Always know it’s going to be good when Danish Pete walks in the room....or should I say climbs into your bed! LOL! Great episode today! Best Three Stooges out there in UA-cam land. Can’t get enough of these episodes! Until next week, cheers!
Oh sweet Jesus, please use looper pedals in the show more often! Some of the best playing I’ve ever heard from you guys! 👍🏻😎🎸
+1. Maybe a whole show on loopers?!
@@RobFlaxMusic - definitely (or at least maybe as part of) say an episode on 'essentials/utility' pedals alongside things like using an EQ well and similar tips.
Def interesting to explore using reverse looping, half speed, layering, ect to mix it up too
Whole show on loopers from simple to complex would be so freaking cool. I love the sound Pete gets from a simple Ditto. I couldn’t get that good a sound with his rig and the most advanced looper ever.
I understood everything up to the point when Mick says "explain what you've done.."
the fact that pete listens to tom misch makes me so happy
A Dane, an Englishman, and Aussie walk into a bar
Michael Cullen what happened next
@@lincolnlee6042 you don't wanna know
Michael Cullen I’m now curious
It got closed for business
@@lincolnlee6042 just a hairy arm.
Damn, not that Dan struggles with strats at all-he sounded great!-but the second Mick picks it up it is just perfection. It is so clear how at home he is there!
The note selection Pete uses playing clean, reminds me very much of how Bobby McFerrin selects notes when he’s singing freestyle i.e. lots of soulful jumps between registers. A great episode as always gents. Three years plus of videos and every one of them has something worthwhile to absorb.
Pete brings his own entertainment wherever he goes. Love it!
I don't know why, but every time I hear Danish Pete play... I picture a 85 year old John Mayer playing in a bar somewhere for tips
Peter Honore is actually my fave youtube guitarist. Such a great guitarist with a likeable witty personality!
Man that jam around the 26 minute mark is just amazing. All three of you are amazing players. The number of times I shook my head at a tasty lick is too many to count. Pete is just fantastic man.
I really love these pedalboard builds, cheers guys!!
i could listen to pete play that oswald all day
Love Pete's feel! Great playing as always.
Those Andertons Music guys are a friggin trip!!
Dan has the patience of a saint.
Amazing guitar player! Very inspiring! Great video guys! I really like those.
Keep rocking
So good! You guys are amazing!
Such glorious tones - truly awesome guys
Thanks guys for all of your pedal build videos, they are hugely inspirational and such a great help.
Love the pedal board builds still waiting for Dan's !!!!
What a group of inspiring people. Well done guys!
Another great video! Always good to see Pete. I actually appreciate being able to see you guys figure things out as you go along, in regards to programming everything into G2. Cheers from Michigan, gentlemen!!
You guys are AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for this :)
Absolutely love your videos guys! Cheers from Argentina!
one of my favorite episodes now...cheers
Guys I've been watching y'all from the beginning. Seeing someone like Pete on the show makes me smile. That said I'd like to challenge you to get Mike Hermans on the show. He has influenced my thoughts on gear more than any other demo guy and almost as much as TPS. I've never even seen his face!
I love the bit at the end...Dan's laughter is contagious.. Danish pete is a top notch guest but then again all your guest are to be honest. two thumbs way up guys thank you... 👍👍😎.
YES! I'm literally beside myself watching this.
Dream-like editing style this week, amazing work Mick!
Great playing guys. Dan I love your build videos.
Look at that, information AND entertainment. Thoroughly infotaining!!
This video is gold! Thank you guys, cheers from Brazil!
A pink strat... Lovely. Amazing playing Mr. Pete.
most inspired and inspiring playing I've heard from you guys in a while. Especially Dan (around 20 minutes in), that was heavenly!
that guitar tone is amazing...great job guys
That was the best into I've ever seen. You guys are the best.
Just great! Great videos guys. Big fan of Danish Pete and could watch pedal board builds all day.
Great show! I love Pete’s walk off and fade out. You guys have a wonderful style.
still loving the content, thanks guys! been loving my thorpy dane and brand new analogman sun face NKT red dot, got them after hearing y’all play them!!
Epic, you guys killed it today. Love watching Dan geek on making boards for people. The Dane, man he has the chops. Enjoyed fellas. Have a great weekend. 👍
One minute and a half in and instant like! :-) I LOVE your new intro concept! 👍😍
Lovely Oswald, Pete, Nick .... not everyday you get to write that 😀.... & great board and vid guys ! especially the end laughs ... hahaha !
6:00 - Pete, thank you so much for saying that. Having the looper in a loop is superhero brilliant.
it´s a pleasure to watch how passionate you all are when it comes to craftsmanship and tone.
3 of my favourite gear nerds to watch! Incredible video as always TPS!
Pete is a riot. Great player!
Great video guys, and what a top bloke, brilliant as always guys. Dan's laughing at the very end is class 😂😂😂
Best lunch time of the week.
I will have this on replay, porbably a lot, this month.
My fave guy from Andertons!
Oh this is going to be sooooooooo good!
Wow...that Oswald Strat style guitar sounds absolutely amazing (and of course the GR2 and pedals and what not). I'm hoping the Oswald guitar guy has to quit his day job soon cause that guitar's the unsung hero of this episode...sounds fantastic and doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.
I love this so much. Laughed out loud multiple times. Just pure fun and as a guitarist and fan of TPS, could watch a pedal build video every single week (on top of the usual goodies you guys produce). I always learn something new.
That Oswald is beautiful. I love unusual colours on strats.
I just love how Mick is fixin' the lights during the show! Great video guys.
Brilliant! I can see why Pete was absolutely thrilled with this incredibly Innovative, master work of craftsmanship, technology and art!
Laughed so much at the intro - reminded me of 'Eric and Ernie'!!! Fab episode. Thank you
Love it Pete, you lovely, lovely, beautiful little Danish fella
Another Great Episode. Pete is a great guy, and man... The Bed scene was hilarious!!! Thanks guys!
That strat is beautiful!
More looper stuff please! Dan and Mick, you guys need more of this! Thanks as always
Love oswald guitars. Master Nick you sir are a legend 🤘
Only started playing again recently due to stumbling across my first proper guitar. Radiohead are like a drug for me to which I was attempting help to overcome...
Then this show happened.
Incredible job guys you have come from nowhere to being my favourite show anywhere on UA-cam.
I can not actually remember that last time I watched a youtube video this long, great info guys and Pete is just awesome.
Brilliant video guys. Funny and informative. Of course I had to pause it to order a Walrus ARP-87 and a Ditto.
Cheers, keep them coming!
Have we been waiting for this!
Love Pete and the guys
That ending :D
Great episode again guys, Pete's the best. :)
Pete getting grumpy over product usability is hilarious! Great video, guys - thanks for sharing the process (and letting us listen to that awesome board with Pete's beautiful playing)
Pete's playing is absolutely beautiful.
Great to see an in-depth look at the board-making process, honestly don't know how you keep all that in your head, Dan.
That Oswald guitar looking killer!!!!! Sounds it!
This makes me happy....very happy.
Dan getting emotional while hearing great guitar sounds and playing always makes me want to pick up a guitar instantly.
Damn this was an epic video. Playing, gear, gigrig setup, and mates all at 100%
Awesome board!
I had a Taurus Compressor. It was great, built like a tank. White, like one of those Polish Bears.
OH this has me excited!
I’m so everything right now; jealous of Pete’s board, so in love with that pink strat, really needing to make more use of my looper....
TPS just gets better and better.
Love the 'bants' between you three ha ha! Great vid!
HA! Pete and Dan discuss MIDI; Mick remembers to turn the lights on. A man after my own heart. Great episode, gentlemen.
