Anna I am so inspired by you. I am nearly 70 yrs. old and just bought my first power tool. A compound miter saw with a stand. My house is nearly built and I look forward to making little projects around the house. I will be sure and post pictures.
Ana, just saw your projects for the first time and I agree with others that you are an easy going inspiration. I have always wanted to be able to do my own projects. Showing hubby these things tonight! He encourages me too and at 69 years old....I just may begin! Thanks for the encouragement.
I've been watching you guys for a while, loving yall's work. Finally, for Christmas, I got myself power tools. I am determined to build a small custom bookshelf, and replace a drawer that has broken. Just bought an assortment of screws today, so there is no turning back.
Love the channel idea… with use for other storage. I made spice drawer by just finish nailing 3 1/2 from outside of drawer frame. Every time I open my drawer it makes me happy to see such organization
It's like you knew how fed up I am with my drawers! Bless You! And my relatives thought I had gone off the deep end asking for tools for Christmas and my birthday. Wait till I show them my drawers! From Minnesota
I have done some dividers in kitchen and shop cabinet drawers and bedroom dressers using some pocket holes, but I like your idea using the channel so much better. I have turned into an organizational nut and dividers keep things so well organized.
I love how your tutorials are thorough and easy to understand, but most of all that this idea is so inexpensive to do! OMG I am now going to do this to my drawers (or at least add it to my project to-do list for now). Thanks Anna!
Ana thank you so much for posting this video...After looking at 10 other videos on this subject, yours is the most simple and easiest way to do this type of project. Now I'm ready to do this !! ✨
Wow, this is a great idea. I have been looking at different pre-made drawer dividers. They can be very costly and I have also found they don't seem to be the sizes I would need for different kitchen items I need to store in a drawer. With this system all of the drawer dividers can be different custom sizes for different needs, and it is easy enough for most people to do. Great job, thanks for sharing this video and cheers.
Hey Anna, you can slide the piece of aluminum on some scrap wood and just drill the holes at once instead of using the clamp. That’s what I did works great and saves a little time.
I did this and it turned out great! The only thing that I wish I did differently was add a countersink for the screws so that the wood sits flush against the aluminum (I have a decent gap between the aluminum and the wood because I could not get the wood down past the screw heads). Great tutorial though and I plan on doing more drawers!
I am not yet at the drawer stage but had not considered using a channel to align the dividers, looks nice. I love my RYOBI's, goodness I think I use them for just about everything.
The nice thing about this design is that you could empty the drawer, take out the dividers, and clean the drawer thoroughly, then reinstall everything. So much easier to clean this way!
This is the most useful idea for dividers...thank you from greece .Anna also think that is people from Europe and follow and we will like to see the notes in the imperial measurements if that is easy for you it will be very helpful for us from Europe. THAKS A LOT you are also so beautiful and smart thanks again
I didn't find that they were too bad, but they can be. You can cut a little shy so it sits down a bit, or you can file them. They may have plastic channel too, which would be another option.
You are THE BEST !!!!!( I have learned so much from you - you make everything easy to understand and follow). Can you do a video on an attached pergola? I want to do one in my backyard and I so love everything you do.. it would be awesome if you could do a video on one... Love ya 😁
Thank you Anna. Love your stuff and great ideas. I have been wanting to add dividers to my desk drawer but didn't want to spend the money for the individual bamboo dividers. Will be doing this.
Great idea and you do an outstanding job of showing how to do this. Just something to think about if you are going to make a bunch of the brackets: measure and mark out the pieces on the stick of molding but don't cut it yet, drill all the holes and use a chamfering bit on the inside to slightly taper the inside of the hole, cut the brackets to length and then use flat head screws to attach to the drawers. With the proper blade and a little wax you can use your chop saw to cut the aluminum. As I said you did an outstanding job on this project.
@@AnaWhiteDIY I was a picture framer for a number of years and used a chop saw with a fine tooth blade to cut the aluminum frames, a little wax on the blade to ease the cut.
Nice! I'm thinking you could have just drilled and then screwed the dividers in place without the aluminum C-channel, but I suppose your way allows for quick divider arrangement changes, especially if you had installed extra C-channel. Looks great!

Wonderful, I am so excited for you and can't wait to see your projects Pamela!
I am 65 soon and I made a sofa from Ana's plan.
Cool idea using the channel trim. I guess I need to remove my old cardboard box dividers and put these babies into action. Thanks again.
Boy, talk about an obvious trick, that never crossed my mind. My Wife will be thrilled when I update her kitchen draws. Thanks! 👴🏻🇦🇺
Drawers.
Great idea. I like how it is removable if you want to change the configuration.
Glad you like it!

Exciting and empowering!

Your sliding miter saw will work perfectly for cutting the aluminum channel. Much mure accurate than the jig saw and faster as well.
Great idea. Been wanting to build my own custom dividers and this is a great simple plan to attach the dividers.
Glad it was helpful!

I like the c channel idea, that way you don't need a baseboard.

Haven’t read through all comments but it is a great idea!!! One question, are the edges of the channel sharp? Do they need filing? Thank you!
I didn't find that they were too bad, but they can be. You can cut a little shy so it sits down a bit, or you can file them. They may have plastic channel too, which would be another option.

That sounds like a neat project, I will have to brainstorm that, if it is something we or a family member can use!

Cool idea Anna. I used woodworking double sided tape instead of screws and it is holding up so far.
Nice easy retrofit.
