A note on product links: a lot of my tools are old or second-hand, so I don’t know the brand/manufacturer/supplier, however, if there is something you’d like to know more about, just leave a comment, and I’ll see what I can find out for you. Thanks! x

Something I do is first pick 3 coloured pens or pencils randomly or blind. I then grab scrap papers and card, buttons, ribbon, flowers etc in the same colour scheme and some stamps I haven't used for ages. I then just create cards, tags, etc using only those colours - with the addition of black, white or netallics. It's amazing how many ideas you can come up with. 🤔
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Another fantastic video!!! My number one recommendation for anyone needing their mojo restored is to watch your videos! Seriously, you have such a wonderful way of explaining steps, offering alternatives and encouraging your viewers. All done in a relaxing atmosphere where I feel I'm crafting alongside a friend. I started making backgrounds after watching one of your previous videos and just looking at them gives me all sorts of ideas. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🩷
Agreed. Nat is a wonderful teacher
Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. 👍
Thank you! ❤️
Music, nature & silence can all inspire me. Colour to music, take your craft to a park, sit in silence for a while.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
I had just taken a break from making cards for Christmas because the card wasn’t going well. I made a cup of tea and turned on your latest utube upload. It was so appropriate I had to laugh. 🤣I love your suggestions - my go to is to step away and go outside to do something more active and often when I come back my ideas flow smoothly again. 🤗
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing. x
“Well, that looks bizarre. I don’t know what I’m going to do with that” is the story of my ventures into making backgrounds. I’m not what you would call “visual,” so experimenting has gone more awry than come out looking avent-garde. Your videos showing how YOU make backgrounds, therefore, are more than inspiring: They provide much-needed road maps to making cards that really coalesce. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into making your videos, Natalie! 😊
Thanks, Marguerite!
Smashing ideas and a super reminder to lower expectation. The idea to prep things is great for me as starting from scratch I feel overwhelmed. Thank you 😊
Absolutely!
Fantastic ideas Natalie. Thank you. Xx
You are so welcome!
Great ways to wake up the creative juices. Terrific cards, too! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Brilliant ideas! Thank you. xxx💖💖💖
You are so welcome!
Love these ideas and do a good portion of them .I also punch out shapes spots hearts etc from my scraps and pop them into containers to use later . Thanks for all the work you put into your crafting to help us .
Wonderful!
What a brilliant video. Lots of useful ideas. When I lose my mojo I just watch some of your videos. It soon comes back. 😂 Thank you for everything you keep doing 🥰
You're most welcome! Thanks for sharing. x
Lol me too!
Natalie, This was so very helpful!! You are so inspiring!! I do almost all of what you shared !! I may take one or more of those ideas!! I do think we put a lot of stress on ourselves!! We see so many videos of people makes these perfect cards and then we think ours have to be the same!! We forget about just having fun!! Thanks for reminding me to just have fun!!!!
You are so welcome! This is meant to be fun isn't it? 😃
This is really encouraging. There’s time I want to do something ,but I don’t have time to do a whole lot because it won’t be long I’ll have to leave to go pick up my grands from school. This is something I can do for those times. Thank you for your greatness ! 😊
Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. 👍
That background paper is beautiful. The how to for stamping sentiments is also very helpful. I will be making some backgrounds using your four S technique. Thank you Natalie!
Wonderful! Have fun. x
Oodles of great ideas! Love the 4 s's and the jigs. Going to have a play this afternoon. Thank you so much for all that you do for our community! x
My pleasure. Thanks for watching! ❤️🙏
Love how you are always mixing it up. This too helps us keep that inspiration fresh!!! Thanxs so much for all your videos. I really look forward to them and enjoy them.
You are so welcome!
Thank you. This is great advice so we don't get frustrated making all the Holiday cards. Just have a lazy, card play day. 😊
Absolutely!
Thank you. You've just found the mojo I'd lost. Sounds a brilliant way to both give some inspiration and to use some scraps. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome!
I’m still in the beginning of the video and you may mention this but…. Cleaning my craft room seems to help me get my mojo back. When it gets too disorganized, my brain just can’t think. It’s something I need to do now, clean my craft room. Love your ideas as always Natalie ❤️❤️❤️. The jig idea is a game changer!
Thanks for sharing. 👍
This is exactly what I needed! I could feel that itchiness to create increase as I watched this video. Thanks so much for all the ideas and inspiration you shared, Natalie!
Glad it was helpful!
What an awesome video. I tidy up when I lose my mojo and something usually catches my eye and gets me going again and other times I watch videos, your are a favourite for inspiration. Thanks Natalie and have a beautiful day xx
You're most welcome! Thanks so much for watching. 😀❤️👍
What great ideas for getting your “mojo” back! I’ve been sick with Covid for two weeks & it has left me feeling totally “blah”, tired & out of sorts! Thanks for some wonderful ideas to get myself going in my craft room again!
Sorry to hear you've been poorly. Hope you get back up to speed soon. X
Yes! I'm in one right now, tried organizing my stuff to see what I have unfinished, or what kind of scraps I have but right now I feel overwhelmed with all my stuff everywhere in my room , hopefully as I keep organizing it will come to me ❤🎉
You got this!
I start organizing my craft supplies and put things back in somewhat order! 😂 I usually find something that makes me start creating again. Thanks!
That's a great idea!
I really loved this video. I go through bursts of having more ideas than I know what to do with to then having no mojo. I tend to keep a note book handy now to jot things down. In your video, I heard you mention digi images. This is something that I never see video tutorials on. I use a lot of digi images in my crafting. I craft from my dining room so with limited space digis work great for me 🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed this. What a great way to relax and just enjoy crafting, thankyou xxx
Thanks so much! 😃
Thanks for all the ideas. I have done backgrounds in the past using powders and inks and I've also done clusters for embellishments when I am lacking in ideas. I love the tip of putting the die cuts back in the spaces and then stamping. 😊
Brilliant video Natalie - I particularly love the number generator idea - I've taken a download of your list - thank you so much. Marie xx
Glad it was helpful!
Wow, brilliant ideas!! I was just thinking "Which one do you choose to do first" and you came up with number 10!!! 😂❤
Thanks! Glad it was helpful. x
I love crafty peeps. I got the idea for the stamp jigs from Christine Stokes. Don’t know who started it but it’s brilliant. Now you’ve given me the idea for an acrylic jig. Thanks 😊
My pleasure. Thanks for watching! ❤️🙏
I love these ideas. I will watch it again and again whenever I lose my mojo. I know I want to play more instead “I need to make cards for swaps” or “I must make a birthday card”. The “have to’s” take away my mojo very fast. I often make envelopes or card bases, that helps a bit, but usually I go online; UA-cam or Pinterest. But I really like the playing and that is going to be the first I’ll try. Thanks for the download, that will help too. And now I will go back and watch all your videos I missed last month. Thank you for sharing these 10 tips👍
You're most welcome! Thanks so much for watching. 😀❤️👍
Thank you so much for this. I particularly loved the idea of doing things in an area other than my usual craft space. It's funny how even though it's my favorite spot, when I'm feeling less inspired, I actually feel stressed sitting there. I love the thought of grabbing my colored pencils and some die cuts and moving to another spot to just relax and color. Very helpful video, thank you again.
I love these suggestions they’re really helpful. And I DO love your voice it’s so soothing and encouraging! Thank you for the inspiration ☺️✨
Love the idea of your prompts list and having a number generator pick what I create. That’s brilliant! That can be used for so many activities
Glad it was helpful!
What a wonderful instructional video! A great process on a not so nice weather day. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fabulous Natalie, thanks so much, lots of brilliant ideas. xx
You are so welcome!
Thanks Natalie.
Some great ideas 😊
You are so welcome!
Love this Natalie, some fab ideas and love the prompt sheet, thank you xx
You're very welcome. Thanks for watching! ❤️
My mojo has left me of late (back and forth to hospital has taken a lot of time and joy out of everything.) Usually when my mojo has got up and gone, I have either turned to your videos for inspiration or followed a 'sketch' (usually from a website like 'Freshly Made Sketches' or one of the other CAS blogs that put up sketches. As ever, you always inspire. TFS and have a great upcoming week! 👍💖
Brilliant - thanks for sharing - lots of ideas to try different things x
You’re welcome 😊
A really good video, thank you. I stamp up all the pages of a small watercolouring pad & evenings, colour them in whilst watching the TV. If I need a card in a hurry, I flick through & choose one to use.
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing. x
These are marvellous ideas! Specially the tips for the die cut stamping, i had no idea it could be so easy. Thank you so much.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. x
Great tips! I also premake sentiments. If I don't have matching dies I find rectangles, banners etc that fit and do it several times.I often usr my backgrounds as inspiration. I just organize them, stare at them until an idea pops! TFS
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Your remphasizing of letting go of expectations is so very useful. It has worked for me. Another thing that helps me is some of new stuff i have bought but haven't found time to experiment with in my busy life. I pull it out and experiment. Thanks for all you do. I enjoy each one of them❤ 3t
Thanks for sharing!!
I have a card idea Tin full of small pieces of paper with different ideas on it. I have dice I roll and pick that many strips of paper. Sometimes I try using all the ideas in one card or split them up and do different things with each strip. Makes having to make a decision easier lol. Love some of your ideas and am adding them to my idea tin.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you so much for these ideas. I've really been struggling to get my mojo back so I've been preparing card bases. I will also do some sentiments and basic shapes too. I have really enjoyed your 'stamping September videos'
Glad it was helpful!
You are so darn creative!!!
I love the washi on a ring idea.
Thanks so much! 😃
Great suggestions! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I get my mojo back every time I see your videos 😅 Great ideas and you know how to lure me in. Thank you Natalie for another fabulous tutorial.
I forgot to say those cards are beautiful.
You are so welcome! Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. 👍
Thanks so much! 😃
Wonderful tips. I generally just clean up and enjoy that for a moment or two. Then I've likely found something that needs finishing and start there. Thank you so much. This was perfect for me today. ❤
That's a great idea!
My usual go to when my mojo leaves is a sketch/challenge blog or find a favourite craft blogger, watch a few videos and usually that inspires a few makes, tfs your 'little' list of prompts, should keep us going!!
Thanks for sharing. 👍
these tips and ideas are so helpful! I especially was impressed by your advice to just 'play, with no expectations'! Brilliant - Thank you 👏 😊! Oh, and the list - excellent! 🎉🤩
Great video , thanks for all the different ideas x
You are so welcome!
Wonderful video!!! Thank you SO much :-)
You are so welcome!
I like to clean up and reorganize my stuff when I am stuck. I like to pull out seasonal stuff to use to make cards for the time of year, too, and that really seems to intrigue my reptile brain which then informs my front brain! TFS!
That's a great idea!
I was AMAZED that I found clear stamps & pks of scrap card stock @ $Tree
I also bought glue sticks, confetti, flexible stencils, washi tape, foam strips, scissors, rhinestones, organizers, googly eyes, so many stickers!!! Picker & clay tools
They have paint, brushes, & dabbers & so much more!
No I don't work there
I'm not affiliated w/ 'm in any way!!!
I was AMAZED at how much they increased their creative section.
All Only $1.25!!
Hope this helps
For colored paper went online & found tons of packs of lace & other textures!! Tissue & scrap papers tooo!! I can't wait to start creating....

Thanks for watching. ❤️
Great video, Natalie! As you say we all lose our mojo from time to time. So one video to keep In favourites to refer back to. Have a great weekend. Xxx
Thanks, Carole! You too. x
When I take a break from paper crafts, I like to sew. Sometimes, I do decorative projects like new covers for my daybed. Other times, I make a garment.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
I often do that too - I like to sew random cotton scraps together to create crumb quilt blocks or “fabric”. When I’m blocked there I will often play with my art supplies
Great!
Great ideas…. And the prompts. I didn’t think I would download, but then I thought it would likely help to use items seldom thought of… forgotten. Thanks!
Thank you Natalie, I do enjoy play time ,today I was sorting out my off cut of card .
Wonderful!
I had a long stage where I didn't do anything and knew I had to make something for a special birthday. Yesterday I was looking at my die cuts and came across some dies I'd cut but as they were layered dies I had a problem at the time with ideas...and how to put them together. I had stored them with the dies...a great idea which I don't usually do. Well, this time I thought I'd just DO IT! I was so pleased with the result!! This was a bit different to making backgrounds. Thanks for your ideas.
Fantastic ideas, Natalie!
Thanks so much! 😊
Great ideas, my mojo often goes on holiday, so going to tempt it back 😊
Have fun!
Great ideas and love your thought processes.
Great ideas! Thank you! ❤️xx
You are so welcome!
You're only up to #6 and I already know i need to go back and list every idea! Thank you!
I forgot to add that you are my favourite early evening UA-cam watching!
Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. 👍
Got to get back out in the garden, rain tomorrow. I will watch the last 4 tips later. I find it difficult using a jig the stamp never quite aligns correctly. So I use the alternative method, of die cutting but leaving a reasonable amount of card around the appeture. Stamp on scrap paper place it under the appeture (jig) until perfectly aligned. Then place the die cut back in the appeture being careful not to move the jig. This I find works so much better. Great video so far, is re-organising the craft room no:10 😂😂 works every time for me. Ex
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing. x
Brilliant video Natalie. One of the best and most useful I have seen in a long time. Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into it. Off to save your list now. xx
Thanks so much! Glad it was helpful. x
Great ideas! I never knew that oil based inks work great on silicone stamps, that's very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Natalie for all the awesome ideas and tips. I have one for you. When your die cutting something that has embossed parts too, use a piece of bubblewrap mailer in the stack under the paper. I have found that most times it will cut and emboss in one pass. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Great tip! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Love your ideas.
Glad you like them!
I love all your practical suggestions! Today provided great insights for breaking down the " process". Thanks for the list! It will be a great help!
Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. 👍
Great tips…one thing I do is to clean my craft space up, I tend to have various stamps, dies, etc. laying around….the clutter seems to stump my card making, not too mention, there’s little space to work in…lol
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Love the mixed medium
Thank you! 😃
Love the jig idea! I do make card blanks ahead of time
Thanks for sharing. 👍
This was an A PLUS TUTORIAL. KUDOS
Thanks so much! 😃
Great ideas thank you. I will download list.
Wonderful!
Great ideas. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I‘ve been making cards for, literally, decades but Jennifer McGuire revolutionised my card making life, so it might be useful to you, too: rather than, like you showed (and I did all my life) cut the cardstock then score both pieces, score the large sheet FIRST, THEN cut. One score, one cut, two cards (works for portrait and landscape), sheer brilliance! Kind regards and thank you for your fun and inspiring videos, Nicola
Brains are mysterious and very particular entities .What would be easy and apparently logical to anyone ,could very easily sound and look awkward and uncomfortable to achieve and done to some . It's called individuality . McGuire person could be right and so are you but ,I cut and score as Natalie does it and I have done it instinctively when I first embarked into this card making journey and my cards are not less than others because of that matter .
@@karminakarminae1939 Oh goodness, I did not mean to sound like I wanted to impose anything on anyone! I was merely passing on a tip that I found very useful - this is what all this community is about, inspiration, encouragement - being nice, being kind. If you prefer your way to the extend of not even wanting to look at other things, fair enough, I am very glad you enjoy yourself… Should you want some inspiration, this „McGuire person“ is certainly a good place to look, she is one of the most amazing card makers and kindest and most generous people I have come across online! I do hope that this is not offensive to you, you can, of course just ignore the suggestion. Have a lovely day, Nicola
I understand what you are saying. After doing something the same way for years someone can come along and show me a way that "turns on a light bulb." I think that's why we like tutorials, for inspiration. Also, I saw that tip from Jennifer but I always forget to do it.
@@nicolalederer9517 oh but you did ! Uppers caps are the proof of it .
" FIRST, THEN " . Passive aggressive sort of comments as in your replay makes the internet as it is , a, not always, nice place to be . And I definitely can't see why should I need to be inspired by a random person suggested by an absolute stranger on line . Imposing much ?! Good life ma'am , life its short and need to be enjoyed
@@tashalewis3217 I often still forget, too 😂 But I thought the idea was just too good not to share. I love finding out new stuff - who knows, one day I might actually fully absorb it 😉
I give the empty Washi rolls to my cat. He loves playing with them.😹
Fab! I bet that's fun to watch! 🐈
Helpful and practical suggestions, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Thanks. I often pull my paper punches and punch scrap paper
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Great video and an interesting list of ideas.
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks à lot ! Wonderfull !❤
Thank you too!
Using isopropyl on your stamp platform will eventually make them craze. (Develop shattered looking lines in all directions.) I use the NOVUS cleaner which will remove permanent ink, too. I haven’t had one break into dust or anything, but it might bother some ppl.
I've been using Isopropyl alcohol on my plateforms for years and they've not crazed. It probably depends on what plastic they're made from.
@@nbcascards I used it on my mini, and it gradually crazed. That was one of the originals, so that, too, might make a difference. Idk. I’m still using it, and it has not dissolved or turned into dust, so I am good!
Great ideas, all and accidentally hilarious. I am sure IPA stands for some kind of alcohol, but that’s not what it means in America. I found myself giggling every time you said it. The list of techniques and the random number generator is genius. Thanks for sharing.
LOL! In this context, IPA means isopropyl alcohol. :)
@@nbcascards as opposed to India Pale Ale, a type of beer. I really envisioned tippy crafting every time you said it.😜
I thought India pale ale…. But maybe that’s an Aussie thing? What does it mean in the USA?
I find that when I start to clean and organize my craft room, I get sidetracked by stuff ... die cuts, backgrounds, stamped images, etc. and end up playing instead of cleaning up my space!
For those who don't have inks, emboss, dies, or machines...
For sentiments I have cut out words off of labels, boxes, junk mail, products...
I also use stickers!!!
Get creating 😊 Hope this helps
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Where did you get your sentiments with their co ordinating dies ? Also where did you get your sequins die from plus what is the make of the foam tape you used & the glue? Hope you don’t mind me asking you all these questions as I am very new to crafting. Very helpful ideas & I loved both of the cards you made. Many thanks.x
Great advice❤
Glad it was helpful!
I forgot to ask if you could do an instructional video on focal point embellishments at some point. I love a simple card and most of the postings have layer upon layer of embellishments. Thank you.
I'll add it to the list. X
Lots of great tips, will print off your sheet. That sounds like a fun way to make cards, choose a number 😀. My question is how thick is your foam tape you add to the back of die cuts and front panels and where do you purchase from?
TFS!🥰🦘🦘🦘
I'm in this right now...thanks for the inspiration. Do you have names and makers of the circle/sequin dies?
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thanks for the tips! Where do you find the we embossing tool ?
My pleasure! This is the tool amzn.eu/d/2ULx3am
Jig , very cleaver
Many thanks! 😃❤️👍
Great ideas. Do you have a link for the matching dies and sentiments please
Thanks! Here you go: amzn.eu/d/bhkuHnS
Thank you for sharing your ideas! I’m very interested in the creative prompts. I clicked on the link and it asked for permission to access the file. I’m looking forward to gaining access and using the prompts to get my mojo working! 💜💜💜

@@nbcascards Thank you Natalie!
Greetings! I create cards in bulk three (3) times a year. Since card-making is not the only craft I do, my answer is to move on to my next ability...i.e. machine embroidery; sewing; or gardening. However, Loved the idea of the Card-making prompts. Yet, the link would not allow me access. I guess I was too early as I viewed the video within four (4) hours of your posting and then attempted to grab the prompts page...EPIC FAIL. So, how would I access the prompts?
Not sure why you can't access the prompts. It was available as soon as the video went live. I've also posted it in my facebook group.
The background sheet is lovely. Will have to use your “S” method. 😊 Great video!
Thanks for watching. ❤️
Could you tell me what stamper you're using please
The blue one
