That’s not really true. His run is not a neutral tool at all. It loses very hard to forward jump on reaction. From up close now he even has a hard time stopping several characters just doing jump heavy punch from close range.
the comeback mechanic was broken. literally some players would just take damage intentionally and wait until v meter was full and then unleash the dirtiest mix up ever. Blanka, Laura, Abigail, Dhalsim. v triggers come into mind. another thing i didnt like was that the last seasons it became just a battle of waiting who would jump first ,again, people would do nothing all round just waiting for that jump in to anti air and win the fight, this game was a mess.
Agreed. It was a game where defense and aggression were both bad, so you would punish someone for over extending and then snowball the round from there.
In season 3 for sure, then they kept nerfing him in every patch after that until he was, in my opinion, the worst character in the game. It was quite a ride.
