Girl comb tip:
Grab your thin section, hold the comp close to the base and literally just pull the hair over top the comb, and pull down. That separates the weave and just run your finger along the back of the comb (the side closest to the scalp). I hope that makes since and helps if you’d like I’ll video it and send on Instagram!!

I'm using this comb for about 6 months. I love them. You can do highlights very very fast.
Does it really help with speed? Because I feel like weaving doesn’t take that long either.. but every second counts.
This turned out great! But it is weird not seeing Stew do your hair in this video lol
I have the vellen combs and love them! I could never get it to work they show it, so I hold it upside down and just comb like an inch down from the base and put pressure so the hair separates. Then I just use my finger to go between the hair and that’s what I foil. It’s awkward at first, but I feel lost without them now! Keep working with it!
Love the combs.
You take a thin section, pull the hair down over the teeth of the comb then run your finger in the front on the comb between the separated hair.
I love my Vellan combs!! Watch the video close and over and over! Keep your hand CLOSE to the comb, slightly comb down ( don't go up)and slide your first finger between the two sections of hair the comb has split for you. Keep your hand close! Y'all's reaction to using these combs was PRICELESS!! LOL it takes practice but once you get it, You will love it!
The comb is a must for me now ! Just ordered some more 😍 its hard to explain but you have to push the hair downward and you will see the hair separating on the comb 🙂 then you just slide your finger in between the 2 row ❤️

This video was just what I needed! I guess I had missed spots in my hair that ended up a little pearl/champagne vs. my ash toner that worked on the front of my hair! Going to go in again eventually to fix it up but THANK YOU for sharing the blonding techniques! I've never been able to get fully blonde without orange somewhere in my hair. But I'm pretty close now to having all light blonde and my hair is still pretty healthy! (despite post partum hair loss, whole reason for going lighter!)

I have these combs too. They're amazing. Take the section on pull it all the way down and your see the two layers separate if you look from the side
Dude it’s so funny seeing y’all with the vellen combs I don’t know why it was so easy for me to get right away. Pulling the hair down into the teeth of the comb and leaving the comb closer to the root makes it so you can just grab the weaves on top. It’s really similar to that 3D balayage one!
I love the new olaplex 8 mask! Also I have those combs and love them but don't use them often

😆 jessi!! Those combs are the best!!! Super easy you take your section put the comb up through the hair from underneath the comb separates the hair into a top and bottom section you take your fingers and slide through and grab the top section and wala! That’s your top weaved section, I love it, I’m slow at fooling these combs help me so much!!
I use these combs ALL the time. Cuts my foiling time in half! They’re definitely not that difficult 😂 I love it!

They're easy to use, but i don't feel they save time that might be because i'm not use to them lol but...take a section pull the hair down through the comb properly you'll see it split into 2 sections you take the top section to foil xx

I tried combs like this about 10 years ago and they took more time than weaving so we didn’t use them❤️. It took a bit to figure them out too.
When you push the comb teeth up you’ll have a section of hair that sits on the top of the teeth and some that fall through. Slide your middle finger through the separated hair and use pointer finger to sandwich teeth sectioned hairs.

I got mine in 1998 at a hair show section pull hair up from the scalp separate mine is a lot wider but I love it

Turn the combs the other way. Place them down instead of up. They are a dream
Ngl, I am not a big fan of those combs. I just find they’re hard to work with but I do love how long the tail is for foiling!

You're natural color is beautiful and ur hair is thick, I think ur natural hair if u grow it and you cut all the damage will be perfect
I think you are over complicating using the comb. Take a thin section and with some tension push the comb up and hair down. Slide your pinky to separate.
