I love that women’s stories often include some version of “my mom was strict and I couldn’t dye my hair” god bless us 😂🥴🥴
My mom has been a hair stylist my whole life so in middle school she started coloring my hair. By freshman year, my hair was FRIED because I would straighten it every day, too. After that year, I grew my hair out and didn't color it and now years later it's super healthy. Everyone's mom who is strict about coloring hair, has a point! Lol when my hair was breaking off, i was crying for weeks 😅. Lesson is to never over-do it.
I was strict and didn't want to dye my hair, the only colour my mum was against once I did take the dive was jet black, which is my fave colour.
This haha I was always told to never dye my hair by my mom and others, but now (at 30 lol) I'm going to go red. So excited!
@@tiffanymcnerlin157 same but actually ive seen the differnce, my mom never died her hair until she was 35 she is 52 and i the difference between her hair and other women her age is huge. Same with my grandma she is like 75 i think and she has way more hair than her friends and its also thicker and nicer. So its going to be worth waiting in the future.

I wish more stylists did this. I once paid $200 to get my hair dyed and you couldn't even see the color after she was done. (I have black hair).

I hate video titles like this. There was definitely bleach involved. It is mixed in with the red dye
@@itsniquenique45 clearly you don’t know what you’re talking about. High lift reds been around for years. I been having bright red with my natural hair being almost close to black. And permanent colors can give you red with no bleach. Do your research first.

HiLift uses developer and has ammonia instead of bleach. That’s how it lifts and deposits color. Can still be damaging

I used to get a beautiful bold red with loreal hi color in magenta. NO bleach, instead I used 40 vol developer. Suprisingly did not hurt my hair. It's just a high lift color. My hair is as dark as hers for reference.
My hair is naturally dark strawberry brown I can get mine up to a level 8 red with 20 volume. Mine just lifts well.

My mom started to let me color my hair when I was 16. I could chose any color but the only rule? No bleaching. You’d be surprised how much lifting can happen with a box dye and no bleach. Reminds me of my high school days. So pretty.
Dani did a great job on Savanna’s hair. I think she’s gorgeous with the bob cut she showed in the beginning clip. This color looks great on her!💕

The last time I coloured my hair stylist didn't use bleach and I was really skeptical because I wanted copper red(I have natural black hair) and I ended up with really beautiful copper red that just got prettier with every wash.😊

@@daoneoddkid8652 well the last time I coloured was three years ago so nope my hair is super healthy at the moment. But even months after colouring my hair was pretty healthy as long as I used a mild shampoo and conditioner.

He did a good job! But I hate it when clients give colors names. I had to google what muted red was and technically, this is not what she asked for. This is why pictures are important during consultations.
i mean muted red colour isnt a made up colour name, it's a descrpition for a muted colour which happens to be red. as in, not bright, but a less saturated "muted" red colour

@@everberry51 that’s why pictures are important. We’re all interpreting the term “muted red” differently. And in the end, she got a deeper cool- based red and not a burgundy tone like she originally asked for.

Been following Majormoon since he did nicole richie's iconic lavender hair and it was an amazing surprise when I saw he was the one doing this hair!!! Exactly today I bought red dye to try to get a cooper without bleaching❤

If you want red hair and you’ve got naturally dark brown hair- try Sally’s Hi-Color highlights red line. Trust
I just said this in a comment as well. I used that line in magenta for such a gorgeous bold color 😍

hi, would it also work on a medium brown hair? mine is not dark completely, but i got used to bleaching it first before painting it red.
@@albinetcristina8912 yes absolutely! I'd recommend only using a 30 volume developer ad you won't need quite as much lift. If there are areas that were previously bleached a 20 vol should be fine there.
@@amberhess6717 got a short bob this summer (had my hand in a cast and needed a short fix urgently lol) and right now it's all natural, but I will take a look.
