Air Berlin was one of my favourite airline, I really do like the chocolate. It's soooo sad and it makes me crieing to see that the planes go to eurowings (owned by Lufthansa) so Lufthansa won't have a enemy anymore. It's bad that a airline with 30 years history just leaves the aviation business. You will always keep in our hearts.

Fun fact, My first flying experience was on AirBerlin (Airbus A320) From Helsinki to Berlin (Tegel) and from there again with AirBerlin with a smaller plane (Bombardier Dash 8 q400) to Graz. Great memories. Great videos. Keep up the good work.
Love the A330, it's special how shaky it can be, sometimes it does almost sound like the whole cabin is gonna fall apart. However, really sad that Air Berlin is out, sadly never had the opportunity to fly with them so thank you for this report!!

Having watched Air Berlin grow and prosper over the last 20+ years, even to the USA, its sad to see it coming to an end. Its not just an airline, it out food on the table for thousands of people who now have no jobs, sad, very very sad.

The Blue Azumarill 80% of the Planes Go to Eurowings (Niki with 737, A320Family/LGW with the Q400 and some AB A320). The Other Go propably to Easyjet or Condor. The A330‘s are already away at the leasing-Company. For Example the D-ABHJ fly sometimes for Air Berlin and now some times for Eurowings. It‘s an A320SL in Niki Livery!

BTW, if your looking for an airline that has great legroom, come to the United States and try Southwest Airlines, they have amazing amounts of legroom! Not to mention it's a low-cost airline that checks bags for free and there are no "assigned seats" so when you board, you can sit wherever you want. My family chooses them all the time because they make traveling easy, cheap, and comfortable. This is a great video, keep up the good work!
I flew Airberlin a330-200 to Maldives 2011. The plane was great. The red engine view was awesome and the food was even better. The IFE was really good to. The seat configuration is -2-4-2-. I had a booked window seat. But the midle row was empty so i could lay there and have a great nap. I’m really sad that Airberlin went bankrupt. 😔

i have flown many times with air berlin and to see them go is extremely sad. their transatlantic business class was unmatched for the price, especially if you book one of the window seats while flying alone or get the "honeymoon" seats when flying with a companion. each time i flew air berlin I had delicious food and the flight attendants were great even in the economy section. my favourite flight ever was going on an XL economy seat from TXL to JFK in June of 2016 and it was all because of the crew on that flight. i am very sad that i will now need to fly on a US carrier to go direct to/from berlin to NYC or fly to München/Frankfurt and change aircraft with Lufthansa only to have no legroom, bad food and lousy service (plus a longer flight). i knew it was going to happen but now reality is setting in.
I took them from New York to Düsseldorf and they were pretty good in terms of service and food suprisingly. Kind of sad to see it go. Sadly chapter 11 doesn’t really exist in the EU
Is it going to cease operations on Saturday, October 28, 2017 expected? If so RIP AirBerlin. It was a good run. And how did you get internet paid WiFi?
Malaysia Airlines bought Air Berlin’s A330-200 and I flew with that ex air berlin a330-200, nothing much changed, but Malaysia Airlines didnt charge me more on the XL seats tho(with the red bulk seat)
i heard that maby niki lauda will gonna look to buy it ... his holding i mean , i realy don,t know if this is true but maby there is a small chance air berlin is " safe " in a certain way i guess ..let,s wait what,s happen

Only flew Air Berlin twice from Dusseldorf to Vienna and back but it was an amazing flight. Once on A320 and back on Boeing 737-800

Lufthansa will buy AB, however Niki and the other subsidiary will still operate. Also easyJet will take over some routes to prevent monopoly of LH.
