Camry XSE V6 > any accord
No android auto on the Camry just kills it. I don't understand why they wouldn't put that in.
@@JAG927 Yeah I really wanted a V6 engine but the accord was the best value even though its V4.
I test drove the Camry SE with the 2.5, and the Accord sport with the 1.5T, accord drove so much better, more torque in the lower rpm range, rear view camera is better, the guide actually turns when you’re reversing, also no foot brake like the Camry, the accord also has more interior room, the decision was easy. The XSE Camry is the only one I would even consider, they don’t come well equipped in the lower trim levels, you get more in just the sport trim with the Accord, let alone with the touring. You also get the option of a manual, how cool is that? Honda is doing it right, no complaints.

I have the 2.0 6 speed and I love it, I drove the se Camry and it was boring and had heavy lag in acceleration plus the infotainment system was lightyears in the past. Accord is doing it right for sure.
A Rod I agree man, Toyota seems more on the conservative side with their cars, that 2.0T is strong, plus they offer a manual in a sedan, something that no one else is doing, got to love Honda.
My touring 2.0T 2019 has mirror Turn signals, replaces the plastic with wood trim, has full leather, and cooled seats. Love it.

I got 2.0T 10 Speed, love driving the car. Specially when using pedal shifters in sport mode, I can fully control the up-shift letting the engine rev a bit higher. Hail, VTEC TURBO !!

Victor how’s the shift responsiveness when using the paddle shifters? My 2.0 sport with the 10spd comes in a week, unfortunately my local dealer didn’t have another on the lot to test drive.

Great review. Love this car. So great they offer a well equipped Sport 2.0T with the manual. Definitely near the top of my list when I go car shopping next year. This infotainment system should be in all Hondas. Just top notch. Buttons for everything.

Of course but over seas the Acura’s we see here are actually the Accord. Now as far as this new generation Accord I freaking love it 💯 percent best Accord built ever I’m getting this car same setup but the 10 speed auto! I’m just so confused on the sporty blue color or the bright red and then there’s black 🤦🏽♂️ I’d probably get the sporty blue color
I love the sound that comes from the v6 in the last generation accord but this new 2.0t drops the v6 in a straight away (stock for stock). Great review!!!

They are basically the only ones who offer a manual. A sleeper, a normal family sedan with a beautiful manual transmission. I saw it a couple of times and I loved it. the manual is the transmission is one of the best in the market. I’d get this car over anything else on the market.

For 2020 Accord Sport msrp $32k, some negatives are, No power passenger seats, no cool seats, no USB in rear. Hope Honda will update it for next refresh.

The deeper cup holder location is smart especially for the 6-Speed manual because it doesn’t obstruct the forearm when throwing shifts, the only thing is a morning cup of coffee might be a pain to take out lol.

I understand why some people are against the styling of the new Accord (I actually think it's beautiful and very unique though), but the fact that Honda is still willing to offer a mid-size family sedan with a manual transmission paired to the top engine choice is pretty phenomenal. There was actually a point when Toyota did the same thing. I drive a 98 Accord V6 and it was only offered with a 4 speed automatic, while you could actually get a 1998 Toyota Camry V6 with a 5 speed manual. To make a long story short, both Honda and Toyota are great in their own respects. They both have proven themselves in terms of reliability (whether you believe one is more reliable than the other is a personal opinion), so it's nice to see both companies taking risks. This generation Accord with the 2.0T-6 Speed combination will definitely be my next car though.

I do not agree with you on the seats, I think Honda was smart to put cloth seats in because they are more comfortable in cold/hot climates respectively and they provide a little more friction. Just my thoughts

I went to Toyota dealership with my friend to buy Camry for him. I asked the manager why Camry is not coming with manual transmission. He replied "who needs to drive a manual!!".

I actually like the way this accord felt a little better!
I test drove both this weekend. The SI has noticeably less power and terrible, overly light clutch feel. The gearbox in the SI is better but the cabin feels claustrophobic if you're a bigger person.
I ended up buying the Accord 2.0t manual and have never been happier with a vehicle in my life.
Hey hi, I got my 18 at the end of last year a black one just like the one you're showing, 2.0 Turbo 10 speed auto is lighting fast, I got the Hondata chip installed and the difference is night and day!

This combination size/price/Honda reliability/MPG's and 6MT is hard to beat.
The irony is that a 6MT in today's car market helps a car stand out.
So many cars have little to distinguish themselves otherwise.

That is exactly why i bought this car. It is unique. A big sedan with a manual is so cool and man is it fast.
This Honda looks really good. I love the front end and the wheels. I think they really missed the mark when it comes too the interior. They cut so many corners. I really despise the part leather seats, no power passenger seat, more hard plastic, and no usb outlets in the back. My biggest gripe would be the faux exhaust tips... Car manufacturers need to stop this. But it looks so good and the HP is great. Not like the type R but I think Honda was going for a family sedan with some nice power and manual transmission. Good review. Love the headroom on this car, LOVE the manual, NOT a fan of the exhaust, I also noticed the rear passenger trim is NOT the same as the front carbon fiber trim, which is just SOOO cheap.

I have the 2017 Sport Special edition. Gray w Full Leather w Red stitching. Always get compliments. Love the car, CVT worries me tho. Should have gotten the stick.

Great looking car the back could be better. I know honda & toyota are easily the most reliable car companies but all these tech in these cars have me questionting how much will they cost if something goes wrong I love the back up cams, ac seats but will these cars last as long compared to older cars like a crown vic, or older Hondas & Toyota's ?
2018 still in stock? I work at a Honda in Orlando and the 2.0t Sports have been gone since last year, I was so excited about the manual 2.0t that I was saving my $$$ for a white one, then I drove it and blah, my 10th gen civic SI with ktuner felt faster by a lot, the car was on my lot for over 150 days and finally traded out to another dealership it had 103 miles when left the lot that’s how many people test drove it but didn’t pull the trigger, btw we landed an used mk7 GTI DSG on the lot and drove it for the hell of it and was so impressed that It’s currently on my garage(sorry Honda) felt the way I was hoping the Accord 2.0t did. Btw the 10at it’s much faster, smoother, has a boost gauge and the sensing features are usable, no wonder it still on the lot.

Zonk! No auto dimming rearview mirror and Homelink at least in the U.S. You mentioned the moonroof not being full. At least there is one. The mirror is a nice cost cutter for Honda.

I've been waiting for you to review my car; The Mazda 6, which I believe is even more attractive than the Honda accord! I have to agree that a cup holder-cover would have been nice as well as a panoramic sunroof, all leather seats & authentic exhaust pipes were all overlooked by Honda that you accurately pointed out. I like the silver & black wheels instead of all black to give it contrast which adds a bit of style & class. Great job my brotha!!

I was about to purchase accord 1.5 but went with the mazda 6 touring in machine gray metallic. I get compliments all the time about how awesome the car kooks. Mazda 6 grand touring is well equipped and hard to beat for just 29k. I Love the accord also.

I was looking at a new one for $30k out the door but there are several with 5k to 10k miles for $11k-$14k. Shop around people. Glad I didn’t make a huge mistake buying one new

Richard Lopez miles? There’s a 2017 with 6k miles for $12k local. Some with a few more miles or a couple years older(2014-15) for like $8000. I can find you one if you want.
What do you drive now? Civics are reliable but that’s about it. New ones are uncomfortable and lack a lot of features. Honestly just buy a 2005 or so for a couple grand. There isn’t any gain on a new one aside from the fact that it’s new. Put what you would be spending on a new civic aside for something nicer down the road.
MrPland1992 38k mileage for a civic ex which has more features than the standard lx. I drive a suv which isn’t good on gas this civic gets 31 my truck gets 15 mpg

That Honda is nice ! I had a question , would it be worth to spend the extra on the tlx v6 or stick with the accord? I was a bit disappointed with the interior of the tlx , felt a bit outdated , but I really love the exterior of the tlx
I would go the Accord route!
if you're talking about the v6 Camry if you're not planning to do anything to it and that's what you like go with it but it does not have Android or apple carplay plus it is $6,000 more plus the Accord is faster than the v6 Camry for the first time ever the Accord 10-speed automatic is faster than the 6-speed manual that Honda offersin 2017 that was not the case cuz Honda use an antiquated 5-speed automatic transmission show the manual was faster back then. But remember when you buy the Camry v6 you cannot to knit you cannot get no more horsepower out of where Honda has unlimited factory support such as hondata k-pro 27won PRL mishimoto and a crap ton else

Be honest ...what about the complaints with gas mixing in the oil because pistons are over stressed?
We purchased a 2019 2.0t sport 10 speed.. I also own a 2005 Evolution and let me tell you, this sedan MOVES!! You can get a tune on the honda and unlock more power. You end up with a car with over 350lbs of torque. Torque montster.

Accord and Camry both are bang for buck and what to buy is more a matter of preference...although prev gen camry used to offer more cabin room and better fuel economy. Plus i still dont get the use of sunroof or moonroof,we mostly keep it closed cz it gives sunlight and adds to cabin heat that might strain your AC and worsen your gas mileage, just my 2 cents though !

I have a question, there is a guide to upsizing tyres by sidewall, by inner diameter and by aspect ratio and overall height of tyre housing to the inner wheel diameter...my question goes, if i wanna downsize my wheels say i wanna go from 19 to 17, other than math for those heights numbers, do i need to get my ABS settings and suspension re-tuned as well?

I have the 2.0 sport with 6-speed manual and since this car has Apple Car-Play, who needs navigation? I use google maps all the time and it works through the car way better than most in-car navigation systems.

I think they are trying to help smooth out the drive for those who are not proficient in manual.
@@RaitisRides I don't like that reason. We humans need to learn how to drive stick! We need to learn how to match revs! Also, don't rob us of the satisfaction when you match them perfectly. That rev hang is truly annoying. I'm going to have to zonk it for that reason alone! Also, next time you sit in the back of a new Accord, try closing the door and putting your arm on the rear door arm rest. I don't have big arms, but mine kept falling off of the much too narrow arm rest. I haven't heard any review catch it yet, but I feel it's an important feature, if you're a passenger in the back. I'm gonna zonk it for that, as well. But not as big of a zonk as the rev hang one. Otherwise, I pretty much dig this Honda, for the most part, although I do miss the classic, naturally aspirated engine. And that's my two cents worth.
I really enjoyed the detailed review. One thing I'm surprised you didn't zonk: the fact that there is no digital (numeric) speedometer available in the display. It's an annoying (and avoidable) oversight IMO.

The Honda ones don't protect. They still steal the rims. Look up some guerilla locks.

No not from factory red emblems only belong on the Type R
On paper its slower than the 17 but on the track the 2.0 dusted the v6
@Joe Blackner was it a 1.5t? Because one of the first drag races was at Honda Accord event and the 2.0t took off and they said the reason why it is slower on paper is because the 2.0t is almost 100lbs lighter and the higher lb foot of torque

That is not true the 2.0 turbo is faster than the v6 automatic and also walks away from 6 speed manual what look at drag race videos or also look at redline review where they test the 17 Accord v6 automatic against the 2.0 turbo 10-speed automatic and the 2.0 walks away from it clash of clan 3.5 you can only do so much with a turbo you can tune it with a k pro or hondata just on a hondata tune alone to called me. 377 foot pounds of torque and a maid 278 horsepower if that's astonishing it's almost 80 more foot pounds of torque which is the number you want to look atthe part number is why the Honda is faster than the Camry even though it has less horsepower but it has more torque then 3.5 that is the same reason 2.0 turbo is faster than the j35 in the Accord Anno 17 the v6 Accord 6-speed manual in coupe form only was faster than the automatic because the automatic is an antiquated 5-speed. But what the new Honda develop 10-speed automatic the automatic is faster for the first time over the manual almost buy a second is there. 0 to 60 in the automatic is 5.5 the manual 6.4
@Minnesota Minnesota because it is a sleeper because it is fun getting a family sedan into the 12 they already running in the low-to-mid thirteen's with minor bolt on nothing more satisfying than having a family sedan beating a 350Z Lexus STI Evo focus ST we're not talking about 500 horsepower Evo or STI we're talking about minor bolt ons to those cars. I think I have watched like 20 of this guy's videos in last 24 hours. That black chrome other designers need to pick up.I like this car but can't decide on a color love black but it shows everything.Does anyone know if you can just tune this to get that horse power back or bring it to a shop to have it done.

KTuner is another good aftermarket tuner and you can google search it too. It's cheaper than Hondata and pretty much does the same in my opinion. I had my 2018 Accord 2.0T tuned to Stage 2 with up to 60whp & up to 88lb-ft of torque over factory according to Ktuner, and it's a freakin beast in Sport mode but will eat your gas up like crazy just like the other person has mentioned so check it out if you're interested.
