Do you like the SI or the Sport Accord?
@@FahimSalehi786 Me personally I like the accord sport more. It's faster, bigger, more comfortable but it also costs more.
@@FahimSalehi786 Accord Sport 2.0 manual is better than Si
Wish it didn’t take me a whole year to find this video! Great presentation.
@@DriversOnly what's the difference between between Sport and EXL?
You’re insurance company should give a discount. Because the manual transmission is effectively an anti theft device.
Been saying that for years. Even more so today. Even in the 1980's when 1/2 of non-american cars were stick, my Uncle's car was stolen. They made it 3 miles away before destroying the transmission. Instead of a total loss, the insurance company only had to replace the transmission. In those days, $10K for the car vs 1K for the transmission. Throw deductibles in there, and the insurance company really made out.
lol lol lol lol
What if the car thief knows how to drive manual ?
Nick Rajpaul people don't realize that there is actually a substantial amount of people who know how to drive a stick shift.
Orion exactly. That’s why I don’t understand when people comment “oh having a manual car is the best anti-theft device” as if there aren’t many people who know how to drive a manual, and better yet what if the car thief knows how to drive manual lol
The $4500 doesn't just get you the bigger engine. It also gives you 3 way heated seats, satellite radio, proximity keyless entry, auto walk away lock, blindspot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts with pedestrian detection, sunroof and on automatic, gives you a 10 speed auto, FAR superior to the CVT. It is 100% worth the upgrade.
Thanks for the clarification!
And auto start
Yeah some people don’t care about that shit lol just as long as it manual and it drives and brakes it’s good lol
Manual transmissions are great, you get the gearing exactly where you want it, no waiting for the automatics. Also more fun to drive at least for me.
100% correct.
Yeah and the added cost of fuel economy and clutch replacement.
Dolphins101 if you drive properly the clutch will last as long as the rest of the transmission.
A manual will never leave you stranded, I get better fuel mileage and it's more fun to drive.
While I don't disagree, I would say that the 10AT is incredibly responsive.
bro honda is Honda an Toyota is Toyota stop wishing for Honda to copy because they won't.. Honda is unique..
Thank you.
Lmao you must be Puerto Rican
@@ChuckTay23 what being puertorican gotta do with this???
Jovany Santiago Yeah lol. You're Puerto Rican.
ChuckTay23 and you still didn’t answer the question
The true definition of a car is with manual transmition.
But with an electric ebrake lol
Honda killed the manual in accords as of 7/2020. Its so hard to find used and on vroom and carvana they sell like hotcakes. Im holding onto my 2.0t manual as long as possible!
Why did they stop selling
@@jellymolina6972 didn't sell
Amen. People are offering more than I paid for my San Marino red 2019 2.0t 6 speed.
Just bought one! 2019 2.0t manual! First manual car and loving it
I wish they would still make them
"nobody should ever drive this in eco mode." proceeds to drive in eco mode. hahaha also, there's a safety latch that wont let you put a manual in reverse from fifth gear. so you can stop stressing about it. :)
Yep. from 5th or 6th it's impossible to do. Usually impossible whenever the car is moving forward.
Good info!
Correction: low beams are LED's, high beams are halogen. On touring, lows and highs are all LED. Also, I believe the taillights are LED.
I bought an 2019 accord 2.0t sport 6speed manual, for $26,900 in Lake city,FL
Nice, how do you like it so far?
I got a 19 in 18 for 27k in ohio💪🏾.
A 2.0 for 26???? That’s how much I bought my 1.5 and the 2.0 is 33,000 over here!
@@sashaalexander6629 it's a Honda plant near me. I had to play hardball to get that price tho. They tried the ole 6 speed is a gem game at first lol.
@@DriversOnly hi love the accord , i got the borla s type exhaust and sounds so amazing
Love your work man!
Thanks for the nice review. I didn't know Honda Accord still comes manual in 2020, just found that out because of this video😂 I really want to get one.
It's a really fun and comfortable sedan. You wont be disappointed.
This is a very nice video for someone not so popular, nice job. AND 1440P? You deserve more subs
9:15 nobody go Reverse from 5th gear lol
Agreed, these cars have a reverse lock out that engages around 8 to 15mph. Highly unlikely that someone will be in 5th gear before the reverse lockout engages.
THANK GOD FOR HONDA!!!They engineer cars that are unique highest quality powerful smooth like silk. The beauty of Honda is indescribable. Please bring Kei Cars and Trucks to the US...PLEASE!!!!
yeah l
good luck after that warrenty expires. these turbo engines will have a ton of carbon build up... camry v6 is better
I would like to say a year after this video was made, that my 2019 Accord Sport...the exact twin to this 2020 was the best Honda purchase I've made to date and I've had alot of Honda's. When I first saw the new body type, I was like Nope! Hard pass. But eventually came around. I first test drove the 1.5 after waiting months for a manual to come in to any dealership. The salesman was of course nervous with a female test driving a stick, but I quickly put him at ease. After the test drive, I said..let's try the 2.0. Took him 30 mins to find (i think someone was hiding it lol) and a year later, I'm still in love with this car! Only other 6 sp MT I loved equally was the 08 Altima CP 3.5 I had and only reason why I opted for it was because I couldn't find an Blue Accord CP in Manual back then. Only thing I do wish for is the signal lights on the sideview mirrors like on the EX and Touring Version.
2023 🎯🎯🎯💯
Love the car and loved the video!
this is the first time that i'm actually taking time out of my busy morning to watch a video on a HONDA car. last Honda i liked was the 2002 and below. things that are keeping me focus is the 6MT and turbo finally Japanese cars are adding both features. every small engine should have a turbo, it's only reason i'm sticking with VW for now. I will be testing this accord and see if i will get rid of my jetta. One thing that i don't like about this one are the taillights but i think with some vinyl wrap i can fix it. I love the removal of the dual screens and random buttons. this new dash is simple and clean. disappointing that everyone is complaining about the shift know getting loose. for 26k that's frustrating.
Teddy it's not loose certain manual cars gear nob tend to do this, I had once seen it in a toyota in a foreign country in Dubai It was an mpv and a new car. I tried turning it and it actually turns but it doesn't come off, unless you want to remove it by force.
I bought a 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Sport 6spd manual and it comes with both low and high beam LED. The only exterior halogen lights are the turn signals - even the reverse lights are LED.
He chirped the tires! I'm lovin' it!
Me too :).
I have been looking for the 6 speed manual for months to no avail. I gave up since I found an Accord Sport 10speed auto for a bargain. I pick it up friday. I cant wait! Thanks for the informative review
Yea unfortunately dealers don't want to stock them and for 2021 they aren't even available. Congrats on your new purchase!
You will love your accord sport with the 10 speed automatic. I have a 2020 SI sedan and my friend has the accord sport and they are both very fun to drive.
While moving forward the gate to the reverse is locked closed. I tried to get into reverse and it is locked out while shifting from 3rd or 5th.
Hi, how does it compare to civic sedan sport 6-speed manual in terms of clutch, shift knob, transmission, and driving dynamics?
Classy and understated design, amazing it doesn't look like a Matchbox car.
you didn't shift up to 6th gear ?
is there any protection to prevent money shift from 5th to Reverse ?
Wish it had AWD that would make it a winner, but if I ever got rid of my wrx I would consider one of these looks good
in 2021 the Camry's will have an AWD option paired with the 4 banger
Lol u have a Subaru
It would take it away from Acura TLX
@@MoNeenja no manual tho
I see from the food design and understand why there's hood flutter at highway speed. How bad is it though?
How's the gear knob shifting and build quality? Hope material is not flimsy and cheap. Appears unscrewed and titled out of alignment @ 16:03.
I'm buying one thanks honda
Nice video on the 2020 Honda Accord sport manual transmission. 6-speed manual transmission is my favorite. I’m planning on getting that car soon for a manual transmission. I currently drive a 2008 BMW 5 series on a 6-speed manual. Unfortunately, the BMW 5 series has terminated the manual transmission (stick shift) after 2014. I still prefer to drive a manual transmission on a bigger car instead of a smaller car. How’s the clutch feel? Does it feel heavy or light?
Clutch is very light and smooth.
First time watching your video and i love it. U seem honest and a very humble person. Your content is well put together as well
Thanks appreciate it. Welcome!
In my six speed TSX there was actually a gate that shut after a certain speed to lock out reverse. Never fear the 6th gear.
Wish my CRV had that infotainment. Position and buttons/knobs are excellent.
I own this car, and 100% love it ESPECIALLY because of that manual transmission.
Is this manual a good car to drive for Uber?
Thank you!
They also haven't made the auto dimming rearview mirror std on the sport, at least in the 18 and 19 sport models.
Car & Driver 40,000 mile long term 2018 Accord 2.0 evaluation was very favorable (auto). The initial zero to sixty was 5.7 seconds but when they retested it they got 5.3 seconds. Even more impressive was the improvement in 1/4 mile: 13.9 seconds at 104 mph! If you are a car guy this should blow you away considering it is a practical family sedan and runs on regular gasoline.
Nice! I was truly impressed with the speed and comfort of this new accord.
0-60 has to be in the low 5's. I also own a 00 Trans-Am and that was rated at 5.1 when I bought it. My 18 2.0 sport feels just as quick off the line.
Faster than most muscle cars from the golden era of muscle. Plus you can haul your family and keep them safe.
@@marklion315 For sure!
Thats what the camaro ss numbers are at

Great Review!
I agree, thanks!
i have a 2018 touring. Love it. I am a tall guy and its a great fit
How tall? I'm 6' 9" tall.
Ha! Not quite that tall. 6'6. The extra 3 may be an issue. The good thing about car is the ability to lower seat, pulling out steering wheel so it doesnt effect knees and the lumbar support.
I don’t care that it doesn’t look sporty. It has the Type R engine and a 6 speed. It’s an easy sleeper. If you want to have a sporty boy racer look then get a Type R.
If there is such a thing as a perfect car, Honda makes it..
Just bought one a few days ago. It is so fun to drive and feels smaller than it is. It’s amazing to me that this car weighs only a bit over 3300 pounds.
Congrats. I agree, its such a fun car to drive.
Great review. I bought a 2019 2.0 6mt . Fun to drive .
I do like where Honda puts reverse, but they need a pull-up ring or other locking device to insure that you don't accidentally shift into it.
Turbo and manual ❤
:)
That almost makes me want to get a stick shift car again.
I bought a 2019 6 - speed about 6-7 months ago. 2,xxx miles on it. Love the car. The shifter is crap, the rev hang is there, and the differential needs to be limited slip. These are the only problems I have with the car. Which can be fixed with better flywheel and clutch, better differential. 0-60 is 5.7-5.8 seconds, not 5.5. It is the best bang for your buck car that fits people over 6 foot. I am 6’ 4” and love the car. $30,000 Out the door with a lifetime power train warranty. And if you want more power... grab Hondata’s stage 2 tuner for $700 and you’ll have 290-300 HP and 350-370 tq.
spr5114 does the Hondata tune affect the warranty??
It does not effect the factory warranty. But unfortunately it effects my lifetime warranty I got for free with Brandon Honda
Wow this car is awesome 👍👍👍👍👍😀
Yes it is
i own a v6 6mt 2013 accord. I will likely upgrade to the 2.0T at some point but idk if I want a manual or auto.
Why not Eco mode? Turbo reliable? This or 2016 one. Thanks
does accord also affected by oil dillution problem in honda's engine? or only the CR-V. honda accord 2.0T 6spd manual may ultimate dream car :D someday you'll be mine.
I'm curious about this also that's one of the thing's that have me on hold to buy one.
Doesn't it have a reverse lock out? My 93 Corvette had a 6 speed but you had to pull up on a ring on the gear shift in order to put it in reverse.
Nope doesn't exist although there might be some kind of lock out if it senses the car is in forward motion or something...not sure didn't test it lol.
It should, my 2013 Civic Si has it.
This is great except winter I have 18 in winter tires for a older accord sport . I’m not sure they could be better
10:20 Also, on the main screen, there's an option under, I believe, Settings --> System --> Instrument Cluster (something like that, I don't remember offhand), where you can check a box to have the tach on all the time. That way, even if you have the range/fuel or something else showing, the tach will still be on behind it. I find that super-useful. I have the tach on all the time, and have the range/fuel info on.
Can anyone confirm this? I’m getting the car tomorrow
@@JuanLopez-xk7bs I can confirm it. I own one. 😊
bnewall1 thank you. Wanted to make sure I’m picking up the car today
@@JuanLopez-xk7bs Awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. :)
bnewall1 so I have the car I can’t figure out how to do this
Your vid ain't working just spinning what color is that Accord please ?
The low beams are LED as well. Right?
I’m happy with my 2019 2.0T 6 speed sport it’s pretty much the same as the 2020.
I want to get one I've been reading about the automatics having problems and a few problems with the turbo engine how are you doing when you're later with yours?
@@ChrisCoolski he has a manual and it’s a Honda manual so can’t be any issues
You get a lot more for your extra $4500 on the 2.0 versus the 1.5 then just the bigger engine. Do you also get heated seats, sunroof, a better stereo and infotainment system., a power driver’s seat and keyless start. In essence, the 2.0 sport is based on the EX trim while the 1.5 sport is based on the LX trim.
Nice response!
Same speakers
That is true, but the radio that comes with the 2.0 includes satellite radio where as the 1.5 does not.
Michael Hughett you get the power driver seat with the 1.5 sport, but no heated seats
Thanks for the great review. Quick question... does the manual save you more on fuel than the automatic? 🤔🤔 Inquiring minds would like to know.
The auto with a cvt will get you the best gas but it’s a cvt
Curious, why do you advise against using the Eco feature? Also, FYI, Honda will not be making a manual Accord after 2020. I got one of the last ones left in early August. So happy I was able to. This is my 5th Accord since 1984. Very sporty, super fun to drive, beautiful.
There is very strong evidence that eco could ruin the transmission. Especially in the auto 10.
I was on a Honda lot here in Florida last week and I looked at 20 accords not one was manual gearbox. I couldn’t believe they didn’t at least have one on there lot.
Some dealerships avoid them since they arent hot sellers...but definitely worth testing if they ever get one
Wess Reiley they’re like unicorns.
Did I miss the charging ports for the back? How many charging ports total?
Zero, but you can get two as an option.
for me this car is the best buy in this class, more reliable than mercedes or bmw
Damn the fact that you compare a Honda to a BMW or Mercedes just shows how good this car is
You are comparing apples and oranges lol.
You remembered Batman Day!!
Spend a ton of money to make the car "pop". Driving > popping. Enjoyed the review! Subscribed
Welcome!
FYI the seat bolstering isn't real leather, it's vinyl. You only get leather on the EX-L and Touring trim. It's still nice, I'm curious to see how it holds up over the years.
You can't go from 5th to reverse because they have a lock out on the reverse gear once you're in driving gear (1-6).
just wondering if I can just get this gearbox on its own.
My '06 Accord is still crazy fast. Tourqy and even saves on gas. Keeping it forever.
Only if its the 6speed the 5speed are trash...
I want this car
About to give up my M3 and switch to this and save some huge amount per year.
hoffj1979 how did it work out?
How in the hell can I find a stick shift!? If anyone has any info in Florida let me know please!
Any torque steer under full throttle?
I love....... Stick shift
Our(Edmund's)2018 Honda Accord EX-L stickered for $30,865, including destination. Over the course of a year, we added 13,302 miles to our odometer. In this condition, the Edmunds TMV Calculator valued the Accord at $23,815 based on a private-party sale.
That works out to 22.8% depreciation, which is slightly worse than the fleet average of 22% average. The depreciation level is even worse when you consider that the majority of our cars pass the 20,000-mile mark. Edmund's longterm Accord
Bring Back The Coupe and V6.
Had to go to a TLX for the beautiful J35.
They would have to redesign the car since engine bay is only made to fit a 4 cylinder.
I will keep mine Running ,because will Never buy that lawnmower piece of shit.
I recently drove a 2019 CRV with that 4 banger in it. It was noisy.
I have the crosstour v6 I was thinking about trading it for the accord but it's a 2013 and I feel like I'd be downgrading! Just gonna hold on to my crosstour that's alot of money to get less car
Dude , did you just leave that in 1st with your foot down on the clutch , WAITING FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT ????

Is this car as fast as the civic type R?
Which one do you recommend, Accord sport or GLI ???
My review of the GLI ua-cam.com/video/-oe4G8iLlmE/v-deo.html. Kind of different cars but I personally like the Accord Sport better. Bigger, more comfortable and faster. But GLI is better looking, nicer infotainment and better seats.

Did they fix the digital speedometer on the 2020 so that it isn’t only in kilometers?
Haha I noticed that during my drive. Seems like that still exist.

The North American Accord was never available in the UK.
Did honda fix digital speedometer for m/sec?
It doesnt come in a digital speedometer at all even in the automatics
How are you going to shift without seeing your tachometer?!?!? Speed should just be a number in the center. Right screen should be adjustable NAV, tire pressure, right/left turn cameras.
The low beams are LED... and I'm glad Honda did't give the back of the car more excitement... it all went to the Civic!

howa the road noise do????? The accord has a pretty bad issue with outside noise
Not this one, super quiet.
Manual with an electric ebrake?
I have a 2007 civic and in the manual it says that the reverse gear gets blocked as long the car is moving forward. I guess with new Hondas it is no different. So you really don’t need to worry about getting in reverse from fifth gear because it is physically impossible.
Thanks for letting me know. Still scary to think about lol.
I think the low beams are LED
How does the stereo on the sport compare to the gli you tested?
Sorry didnt listen to them enough to compare
