- The Honda Accord Sport 2.0T might be the best balance of room, features and performance for a midsize sedan. Under the hood is the Type R engine producing 252 HP & mated to a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic. It's stylish exterior and great looking wheels sets it apart. On the inside you will find a space that is comfortable yet sporty, plus has the whole plethora of safety features. Is the 2020 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport the best midsize car you can buy?

I absolutely adore my 2018 Accord 2.0T sport. I had it for 2 years now & couldn’t be any happier. Such a joy to drive. Great room for my family of 4 with both of my babies being in rear facing car seat. Soooo happy I chose this car over the Camry

Joe, keep reviewing this car and I’ll keep watching. I don’t care how many times. 👍🏼 You are a certified car guy in my book. I agree with your car opinion about 99% of the time. I don’t even agree with myself that much. 🤷🏻♂️
That really means so much! It is great to have you as part of the Raiti's Rides family!
Love this guy. He's funny.
Thanks for letting me share some laughs with you!
Raiti I love your reviews. They are so in depth, entertaining, and your brilliant personality just make them better. Keep up the great work
I love my Accord Sport 2.0T 10 speed. Was going back and forth between Camry and accord, but I have owned several Hondas before and the Accord Sport was just a great car. The fact I got it over $5k off of the sticker helped too. I got it March 2019 and was the last 2018 Accord Sport model in their lot and wanted to move it. Only correction to Joe's video is the Accord Sport does not get adjustable dampers. That is a Touring trim only feature. Also, I upgraded the factory stereo. I added a sub and amp in the trunk and Alpine makes a fairly small amp specific to the new Accords that pump up the inside factory speakers without damaging them. So if you want just a little extra kick and power from your stock stereo, look it up.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your ownership!
whoa, the fact that you were able to get 5k off means i should also be able too lol. That'll be my benchmark for now.
I’m going through the same problem. Accord or Camry 🤔🤦🏽♂️
I just bought a 17 Touring sedan and I think the sound is terrible. Way too much highs and mids. Barely bass… I read somewhere that changing out the speakers and a sub in these is an absolute nightmare. Was it very difficult?
I thought 2.0t is touring.
I always appreciate Joe's balanced reviews. Thanks Joe.
Thanks William! That really means a lot!
I'm thinking of buying this same accord soon. You do an excellent job at explaining all the features of this car. Thank you!
Thank you Ricky for taking the time to say that! You will love this car!
Dude I LOVE your reviews! It’s like your friend is talking to you and letting you know the good and the bad on these cars! You definitely know your stuff but you throw in your funny phrases in there along with the dad jokes! My favorite car reviewer by far!!! Also I am a teacher so of course I have mad respect for your 18 years in the profession, keep up the awesome work and I will keep watching and being a fan!!
Glad you finally got to review this. I really dig mine.
I've got an EX-L with a 2.0T motor but with a 10sp auto transmission. I'm really attuned to motors and the deep flow of torque that comes from this motor is addictive, thrilling, hypnotic. It is definitely the best car I've ever had. I also have a pickup truck with a big V8 for those times that I need it. Big truck V8's are supposedly strong and torquey but not compared to this Honda wonder. The Honda makes just effortless acceleration, you don't need full throttle and high revs, just give it some throttle and it will push you hard back in the seat.
Love my Accord 2.0 T Sport... Can't get enough of the performance. 🥰🥰🥰
What I like about Joe reviews are consistency, I know which parts to skip to if what I'm looking for particular info, usually price and engine.
Fun Fact, if you go into vehicle settings, it is possible to have the tachometer remain while displaying fuel consumption, timer, ect, and still have the tach fully displayed.
Thank You Joe, The car looks gorgeous.
Waiting for the 6 speed manual on this beauty! 😍
I am trying so hard to get one. Thanks for watching.
Huh? 6 speed manual has been available on the Sport version for awhile..
I love my Accord 2018 2.0 Sport..Look and performance are amazing
joe is the best.. took me a little while to think so but i love his humor. good job on standardizing the flow like going over price and then "to the door panel"
Thanks for taking the time to say that and being part of the Raiti's Rides family!
Thanks again for the great reviews. After much soul searching and replaying your assessment of the Accord Sport 2.0T and the Touring, I was gong back and forth between them, but to save a few bucks and get the engine, the 10 speed auto and most of the options I like, this will be my next ride!! I'm up in N.Y. and looking forward to visiting the dealerships out by me, where I will be sure to drop your name! Keep up the great work!!
I am so glad that you like this one Johnny! Thank you so much for your awesome support! Let me know how it gies!
Well, I did it! The lease was up on my Audi A5 and I was thinking about buying it or leasing an A4, but I just picked up an Accord Touring 2.0T in Steel Gray. Compared to my A5, which itself was a phenomenal ride, so far I'm loving the Accord. In addition to having cubbies to keep my Twinkies and Twizzlers in, I made a deal to have rear USB ports installed, not that I really needed them but I told they dealer that was a 'zonk', lol! Thanks again for your in depth reviews!
Just picked up 2020 Honda Accord 2.0 Sport two weeks ago. Thanks to your review I decided to go with the Accord over the Toyota Camry TRD. The acceleration in the Accord sold me. Keep up the great work!

Hey Joe, I drove the 6speed manual. It was a lot of fun to drive. I have a Lexus GS and the ride and handling were comparable. Honda did an amazing job! But I agree with previous comment about the sound system. It is severely lacking. But for the price, you get a great ride!! 👍 great job on the review!

@@tomiwaaderibigbe9147 this car drive extremely well , it drives like a Benz with a Honda logo
I bought this exact same model today, even the same color. I haven't driven it very much, as one might imagine.
Reaching maximum torque at about 1500 rpms means you can accelerate very well in low gears. I really wanted the manual transmission, but they're not available at this time and next year not at all. I can live with the 10AT and besides, it's a lot of car for the money.
Great review, spot on, I bought that exact model and color in July, pretty amazing value for what you get. It’s sneaky fast too and I was coming from a VW GTI with stage 1 tune.
If u tune the accord it gets much faster as well🤫

Thank you for this video. Hopefully I can get the car sooner than later. I’ll reply on this comment once I get it!
of course we want to see the 6spd! And thank you Honda for keeping manuals in mid-sized
It is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack!
Honda’s are great cars. I would pick an Accord over a Camry any day. Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Agreed. No matter which Toyota/Lexus I have test driven, those have felt cheap compared to Honda.
@@zennoodle Lexus > Cheap? :D hahaha nice jokes
L S disagree I can bet you that Toyota has better customer service, The Camry will out last the accord on brake, rotor life , ignition systems and basic wipers will out last any accord.
L S but this whole thing is a waste of time as they’re better cars then Toyota’s and Honda’s and if your going to shit on yourself might as well be for a car that doesn’t depreciate as fast as the Camry or accord at this point just drop that down payment on a better model like Subi or Acura
Says a guy name LS who u lyin?!
I appreciate the execution of your review.
This might matter to some that have driven the manual: Acuity sells aftermarket shifter components that contribute to more "aggressive/sporty" feel than stock.
Great review, like always!
My dream car 2020 accord sport 2.0T manual or 10 speed Both are great, again amazing vids especially love the Honda vids you spoil me with these lol (first thing I fell in love with about this car are the tail lights upset that you zonked them)

Such a beautiful and good car! Saving up to get one!
Loved the review!! How does the Accord 2.0T compare to the 2020 Kia Gt-Line or the Optima SX? Thanks for all the great reviews!
I own a 2018 same model and color I have a little over 6000 miles. The car performed exceptionally well.
The 6-speed manual version of this car is on my list next time I’m shopping for a new car. They’re kind of rare, but having owned a couple Honda manuals already, I know it would be worth finding one.
I totally agree with you Timothy!
Joe, if you have driven the touring edition, how does the sport compare in suspension tuning, since you don't have the adaptable dampers. Imo they should have added an lsd and adaptable dampers to the sport. I also wish Honda would have made the Accord a sportback like the Audi A5, Buick Regal, and Kia Stinger.
I’m trying to decide on what my next car will be and your videos are a big help! I do have a question about the GPS. I saw a review of the Honda Civic that showed every time you switch lanes or turn, the screen shows the adjacent lane as a safety feature but subsequently turns off the GPS. Have you noticed if that’s a problem in the Accord?
I just bought one with a 6sp. It was the only one in a 500 mile radius. I effing love this car! She’s black and I had 5% tint put all the way around. This damn car flies! And oh so fun to shift those gears.
I will never look at the rear lights the same again after that stapler gesture. Lol. !! Great Review
Thanks for letting me share it with you Mike!
I first wanted a manual transmission but after a test drive i changed my mind, i really like manual but that one is not terrible. No regret having the touring 2.0t with the 10 speed auto.
The dealer told me it had a cvt.
@@bondovwvw, the dealer didn't know what he was talking about, all the 1.5t get the cvt and all the 2.0t get the 10 speed auto.
Another excellent review Joe. My buddy just got this very car and color in the manual and he loves it. Please find one. He also had trouble locating one amd had to compromise on color in order to secure the manual.
Thanks for saying that Kenneth! You are so right about finding a manual gearbox.
Joe,
I really enjoy all of your reviews! I am in the market for a four door sedan, but I really value performance. I recently test drove a 2019 Mazda 6 with the turbo motor; beautiful car, but it just wasn’t very fast. The interior was stunning but I couldn’t get past the lack of acceleration.
I also have driven a slightly used BMW 330i, and a slightly used Infinity G50; which you can get (used) for about the same money as this Accord Sport. Those were both awesome cars, but with their own strengths and weaknesses. Question is; Would you recommend the Accord over the used BMW and Infinity? Thanks for your insight!
i do not mind the fake vents in my 2019 Camry SE. The Camry is an amazing car. That being said, I wish that I would have at least test drive the Accord.
Oh but you can go test drive the Accord! Why not? Even if you don't buy one, just look and pretend you might lol!
Honda really went off with these wheels a lot of cars are getting similar wheel designs but Honda made this car to beautiful I want to buy this car soon !
I am so glad that you like it!
This review sold me on it! Bought a 2020 Accord Sport 2.0T in modern steel metallic. I’m convinced it’s the best bang for your buck out there in this tier/class.
Bought the 2018 touring 2.0t in Oct. . Love it over all. So powerful I spin the tires taking off from red lights. Responsiveness is better than all others in its class. Feel the G-force is awesome. Today Aug.2020, still loving the drive. Going to be hard to decide what to do when lease is over. The sport has the cloth over the leather in touring but cloth is much much more comfortable. Over all, the seats are not comfortable 30 min into driving, I'm 5,10" 200lbs. Wondering what the Nissan antigravity seats would feel like. Average no name sound system, so I upgraded to Alpine with Pioneer subwoofer (was vibrating the car so the technician bolted it to the floor of the trunk above the left tire. Tinted the windows 35% and bought about 3500 worth of accessories, Aero package, protection package, etc. Wheels are awesome but forget about snow, need smaller rims and beefier tires. Got used to the button transmission, rests my right arm comfortably on them but don't like when a coffee spills over them because the cup holder is right next to them. Been waiting for Honda to bring in the Hondata, I'll go for the stage 2 but I'll have to upgrade my rotors? (wanna get larger rotors) lol and switch to premium gas. There is connectivity in the back of the touring model and front as well as wireless charger in the front. If there is an accord Type-R, I'm definitely jumping on that. Questions, any new features from 2018 to 2021?
10:04 made me crack up with that joke 😂 nice save and awesome review as always 👍🏼 if you find a manual 2.0T, that would be awesome !

How hard was it finding a 6 speed? I cant seem to find any around my area within a 200 mile radius
@@seanthao yes I feel like I got lucky, I found it on the dealer's website inventory so I wasn't even sure it was actually there - I checked it for a few weeks or maybe even months before I went in (I hate going into a dealership). Then when I found out it was vandalized on the lot I figured people before me may have backed out. I didn't care so much about that since they repaired everything and it was never driven by the vandals so it's a good car and I got a break on the price. Still - people do comment when I tell them it's a stick that "I didn't think they made those anymore..." - I just chuckle. But they are out there - my advice is to tell your dealer to keep an eye out and look for one and they'll get it eventually. Let them do the work for the sale. you might not get a good price but if you want it you want it. Dealers trade all the time, or so I'm told. Good luck.
