I can understand the difficulty in cutting down a collection. You just have to let go of anything you don't use much, that's the stuff you won't miss, but getting the guts to do so seems impossible.
Jolly well done Rowan, a very much deserved milestone. An epic q+a with great responses and points of view. Many thanks for sharing so much, and your continued support of my channel
I think you have been very frank and I congratulate you for having the courage to tell your viewers a lot of stuff. I know you plan to relocate to somewhere in Europe and you mention a Motorhome. Without pouring cold water on your plans I would look very carefully at how Brexit has affected moving to the EU from the UK. The 90 day rule is a real pain. It's possible to get a permanent visa in some countries but it normally requires a fixed address before they will issue one. Certainly some costs are much cheaper vets (France)for instance. We took two cats for injections and consultation about a skin problem, cost 40€. The same week my daughter took her car for examination in the UK, cost £1200. Food is a lot more expensive but housing is cheaper. In my experience Spain is very affordable, Holland very expensive especially electricity. I hope it all works out and congratulations on reaching 6000 subscribers.
Buck Frexit! Fortunately I am able to bypass the 90/180 rule by way of past history and prior registration in Netherlands. If not, I don’t care. An EU registered vehicle eliminates most of the possible hassle, and quarterly trips into Switzerland to collect a variety of receipts and evidences eliminates the rest. Switzerland (and most of Scandi) is handy because it’s in Schengen but not in the EU. Therefore vanlifers can always pop over and collect some evidence that they were outside of the EU last month and 4 months ago for example. The cops may know perfectly well what you are doing, but they know that you have enough evidence for reasonable doubt and they are wasting their time trying to prove overstaying.
@@Velocipedium I can see you've thought it through. Brexit has made a huge change to our lives although we were already living in France before it happened. One thing might need looking at is health cover. The other thing is tax. We're just below the threshold for income tax and social contributions but still have to complete a return each year. I don't think a vehicle registered in the EU would attract any police interest unless committing a traffic offence. I hope when you relocate you continue to may your videos.
👍 to assessing Raleigh bikes, I've been looking for a superb for a while but it would be great to hear your thoughts on what to look for, thanks Rowan.

Thank you. It does help me to bland in around Blackpool 😂
I really shouldn't be quite so excited to watch this! Where did my life take such a turn? 😂
Would you like me to recommend a professional to help you?😊
@Velocipedium 😁 Actually now I know you once had 98!! bikes in your collection, I realise I only have a mild case ;)
How does one know whether or not to renovate a bicyle or not to because it's simply not worth it. There's another possible video.
Wish you were in US so I could buy a bike or 2.
Shipping is possible. I’ve sent to US and several other countries before
@@Velocipedium 😮
@Velocipedium do you have a ebay account to sell?
No. I don’t like eBay selling
