Twins Matamata Turtles Skeletons Assembling / Exotic Pet Vet Skull Reptiles Zoo Science Oddities

Cleaning and assembly of the skeleton of two small Matamata turtles (Chelus fimbriata).
The turtles were sisters, and they died of natural causes. These animals were bred in captivity, enjoying very good conditions, but they could not survive serious illness. Their bodies were donated for science.
I cleaned the carapaces in two different ways. One of them has scales, while the other does not and is completely white.
