The best thing I've ever done was buzz my bio hair off, the 1st time was freaky but hubby helped. Life is so much easier, no more hair dye and to wear wigs too. I'll never grow what's left of my bio hair out. I do recommend leaving some hair at the sides too as well if you can.

After having a mishap/wig slip a fortnight ago when I was out eating a meal with friends, I am no longer using a silicone wig grip. I did have it on inside out!
I have now buzzed it all off and my wigs grip so much better, even without a velvet wig grip. No combs or clips either.
I thoroughly am enjoying my wigs much more, no longer pre-occupied with it staying on my head!

Denise, could you perhaps measure how much bulk this hatwig adds to your head? I have a hatwig from another company that adds so much bulk that my favorite hats do not fit
Good question, Wendy! I have a bulky hat wig too. I can’t tuck because of the thickness. I would like to know if there’s a way to thin a hat wig. Otherwise, I need to find one with lower density.
How about experimenting with one of those brow pens with the fringed tip that makes several hairs at a time, for an under-layer to the baby hair?
Oooh... that's interesting! I've been trying them out on my brows... that at the end near my nose to see if I can create them... I do fine with the left eye, but the right eye is a disaster!!! I'll have to make a video so we can all laugh together (because if we aren't laughin' then we are cryin'!), lol

I think I will be trying a hat wig this Summer. I am in Australia so it will be a few months to Summer.
I had a disaster wearing my wig tonight. I put my bio hair in hair pins and wig cap. I then put a silicone wig grip on. Put my wig on and drove to the venue. As I was walking into the venue my wig started to slide back. I grabbed and quickly pulled it forward, then sat at our table. I had to keep pulling it forward every 15 mins or so. When I got home and took off the wig, I found the wig grip balled up in the nape of my neck! This was the 10th time I wore a wig out. Is it the wig, the grip, the cap? Would appreciate any suggestions.

@jewelphoenix2334 I do not wear a wig cap because the same thing happens to me. Tried different types of cap and grip combinations. The cap always slid back into a ball.
Looks great. I have lost hair where the wig band rubs along the front and back.

Question: I like to tuck. I have a hat wig in a bob style. The hair on sides are so thick that I can’t tuck without ears sticking way out and the hair doesn’t stay tucked in. Anything I can do to be able to tuck?
